The broadcast began with an update on what's been taking place in Israel as it pertains to the ongoing war against the Hamas terrorist group. For example:--At least 22 Americans and over 1,200 Israelis are dead.--Israel is being attacked on a second front, this time from the north. So they are now being attacked from areas in Syria and Lebanon. Also, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt are condemning Israel for attacking Gaza. --Fox News has reported that Israeli forces have launched rockets into southern Lebanon striking Hezbollah forces after that terror group fired anti-tank s across the border, initially hitting Israeli soldiers.--American Military News is reporting that a leader and founding member of Hamas reportedly called for a global jihad, asking Muslims around the world to target the people of Israel on Friday, October 13th.Concerning the main topic, Jim welcomed back Peter LaBarbera. Peter is a reporter for WND.com, he's a former reporter for the Washington Times and LifeSiteNews.com and a former contributing editor for Human Events. He's the founder and president of Americans for Truth.One of the battles we have here in America is taking place in our schools over the LGBTQ+ agenda. One of their celebrations involves National Coming Out Day. Sadly, at least one school district is encouraging children as young as 5 to "come out of the closet."Peter opened his remarks by communicating that he has hope because the Israel story is exposing the "left" for who they really are and what they believe. This means the liberal media will now be forced to see how LGBTQ+ ideology is being foisted on children.

On Saturday, October 7th, as Jews were observing their Sabbath and had just finished celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles, the terrorist group, Hamas, attacked Israel by air, land and sea. Estimates of the number of Jews killed are now around 1,000 with thousands reported to be injured. Others were kidnapped and are being held as hostages. President Biden has confirmed that 14 Americans are dead with others said to be among the hostages.This is the largest murder of Jews since the holocaust. Anti-semitism events and rallies are taking place around the world, including right here in the U.S., while Israel's enemies have vowed to wipe the nation off the face of the earth.Why is there such world-wide hatred for the Jewish people? If Islam is such a religion of peace, then why are they committing such atrocities...or is that the true face of Islam?Usama Dakdok is founder of the Straight Way of Grace Ministry. The security cabinet voted to go to war for the first time since the Yom Kippur war in 1973. On Saturday, on X (formerly Twitter), Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's message was, "God willing, the cancer of the usurper's Zionist regime will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the resistance forces throughout the region."American Military News reported that 31 Harvard student organizations released a letter claiming that Israel was entirely responsible for the unfolding violence. Yesterday, protesters converged on Times Square in New York City to rally support for Palestinians in spite of the attack.Dr. DeYoung provided plenty of details as these questions and more were answered: How was it that Israel was caught off guard by land, sea and air? Was there complacency or were they preoccupied by something else?Is Iran responsible for the attack in any way? How about Russia? More stories, as well as listener comments, can be heard when you review this broadcast.--Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas opted to waive a litany of laws and regulations to swiftly construct more border wall in a key Texas hotspot for illegal crossings.--The Biden administration is saying that Venezuelan immigrants who illegally enter the U.S. will be directly deported back to the South American nation after a record number crossed the southern border last month. --New York Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul announced Monday that the state identified approximately 18,000 job openings from more than 350 employers across various industries in the state that are willing to hire immigrants eligible to legally work in the U.S. --A Republican congresswoman is warning America that the fentanyl crisis, exacerbated under Joe Biden's border policies and liberal crime policies, have become so bad that New York City is now calling on its citizens to carry Narcan at all times to help save people whose lives are threatened by drug overdose. --Federal data found that most illegal aliens who crossed the southern border are finding their way to Democrat led cities.--Representative Patrick McHenry of North Carolina, is the temporary leader of the House of Representatives after Kevin McCarthy was removed from his post on Tuesday. --Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was evicted from her private office by new House Speaker Patrick McHenry. Pelosi said the decision to evict her was a sharp departure from tradition. An update on this story alleges that it wasn't so much McHenry but Kevin McCarthy.

Persecution is happening for those who call evil for what it is. This is due to the fact that there are those who call evil, "good." In fact, these same people are attacking Christianity and its values, the values that our nation was founded upon. So what should believers do? Should we cower in fear or are there duties that we are responsible for adhering to in such times? Returning to talk about our responsibilities in hostile times, Crosstalk welcomed back Mat Staver. Mat is founder & chairman of Liberty Counsel. He is a constitutional attorney with three landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He's an author and the host of the radio broadcasts Faith & Freedom and Freedom's Call.Discussion began with review of the fact that for the first time in America's history, the position of Speaker of the house was vacated by a majority vote. This was despite the fact that out of 95% of Republicans that are in the House, 8 did join with Democrats to vacate the position.On the Senate side, with the passing of Senator Feinstein, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced his appointment of Laphonza Butler to be the new senator. However, her radical credentials don't mirror biblical values. Aside from that, she's not even a resident of California so there may be a challenge on that point.On the main topic, Mat commented on the following points, that together show how Christian values are under attack:This week the U.S. Supreme Court began their new term and recently Mat told Crosstalk listeners that he will be petitioning the court to take up the case for Kim Davis, the now retired, Rowan County, Kentucky, Clerk. We have it pretty easy in America as it pertains to religious liberty. We can go to Bible teaching churches each Sunday, listen to Christian radio, watch Christian television, hand out Gospel tracts, and even view the Bible on our smartphones, all in our own language, and enjoy it without fear of being arrested by the secret police.Some of you may not be aware but there's a critical figure in church history who died so we can have the Bible in English. That person is William Tyndale.Returning to Crosstalk to tell the fascinating history behind this man was Dr. David Brown. Dr. Brown is pastor of the First Baptist Church of Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He holds a Master's Degree in Theology and PhD in History, specializing in the history of the English Bible. He's the president of the King James Bible Research Council. He is also the President of Logos Communication Consortium, a research organization that produces a large variety of materials warning Christians of present dangers in our culture. Pastor Brown is an author of The Indestructible Book: Examining the History of our English Bible.

She is a patient advocate.Currently there's a lot of messaging going out from the White House and others promoting a new COVID shot. What does Dr. Vliet know about the FDA approval process concerning this new booster? Was it only tested on mice?Dr. Vliet responded by going back to review some history. She noted that none of the COVID shots are fully FDA approved. All of them are in use under the emergency authorization clause and therefore don't require full clinical studies, a lot of the good manufacturing practices or full disclosure of modifications and changes.

She represented the state of California since 1992.--House Republicans are working to build a case to impeach President Joe Biden. A series of inquiry hearings in the House Oversight Committee kicked off yesterday.--The House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday revealed a document that showed Lesley Wolf, the assistant U.S. attorney for Delaware, blocked investigators from pursuing evidence relating to President Joe Biden as part of an investigation into violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). --President Joe Biden's brother told the FBI that the first family, including Hunter, tried unsuccessfully to help a Chinese company buy U.S. energy interests and assets and did so believing that the firm's leader was tied directly to the Chinese Communist Party.--House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was all smiles Tuesday evening as he began his press conference to address progress in the House on the appropriations front.--Senator Bob Menendez pleaded not guilty Wednesday to bribery charges. Federal prosecutors have accused Menendez and his wife of accepting cash and gold bars in exchange for assisting the Egyptian government and interfering in law enforcement investigations.--Disagreements over Ukraine aid are threatening to be a major factor in the looming government shutdown.--Lawmakers are moving to protect the pay of U.S. troops as the clock ticks toward a potential government shutdown. --Former President Trump's civil trial in New York on fraud charges will begin on Monday.

The push for world/global government continues. The World Health Organization, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations each have aggressive agendas where national sovereignty isn't part of their plans. There's the push for a central bank digital currency, digital I.D verification systems, vaccination passports, increased surveillance camera use, along with the use of artificial intelligence. It's also worth noting that the meeting of the World Parliament of Religions took place where every religion was welcome, but there was special scorn for Evangelical Christianity.Gary Kah has been monitoring these kinds of issues, and he returned to Crosstalk with a critical update. Gary is founder and director of Hope for the World. He is editor of Hope for the World Update, an author and former Europe and Middle East Trade Specialist for the Indiana State Government.Gary began by noting that it doesn't matter if you're looking at it financially, politically, culturally or spiritually, we're coming undone as a nation. He did note that there's a "silver lining" in that people are starting to wake up. Common sense people know something isn't right and Gary believes there's an agenda driving it all. So where's all this headed and why? Gary told listeners that nearly every power center of our federal government is under the control of a godless majority. He sees this as part of a demonic worldview that's taken shape to push us into a situation of global governance with top-down control where we would eventually lose all freedoms.
