Text of the Day: Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write to you. For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. (1 Thess 5:1-2)

2 — Have you ever been frustrated that you didn’t know?
3 —Do you remember thinking about this when you were younger? How did it make you feel? Is it different now that you are older? How?

8— What does being “ready for it” even mean?
9— How can you prepare yourself for the end?
10— Who wins?

Text of the Day: We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. (1 Thess 4:15)

Text of the Day: For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. (1 Thess 4:14)

2 — What was it like when you first assented to follow Jesus? Did you have a sense of intimacy that you hadn’t had before?
3 — Is it hard for you to believe in something that you cannot see? Is proof important to you? Is a life change enough proof to believe? What does it mean to take a leap of faith?
