Butch lived for his son, Brett. He was a hard working man who owned his own used car dealership. Maybe that's what made him a target. Maybe not. Two men disguised as police officers knocked on his door one night at 10pm, taking Butch and Brett captive. After robbing Butch, they leave him for dead in a shallow grave with his mortally wounded child on top of him.

She recovered and decided despite her fear (her assailants weren't yet apprehended), shyness, and pain, she would speak for her Stolen Sisters, missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and two spirit. In January of 1972, Vesna became a flight attendant. Not only to help her parents financially, but to travel the world and go to London once a month to see the Beatles, her favorite band. Only eight months after landing her dream job, the unthinkable happens. The plane has a bomb in the cargo hold and blows apart into three pieces at 33,330 feet (six miles up).
