In the sleepy, rural island town of Colares in Parra Brazil, the villagers were delighted when the visitors from the sea and sky showed up in the strange flying crafts with flashing lights. They took to the streets in celebration. Until...those crafts started attacking. They sent beams of light that burned them and drained them of blood. People died.
The government of Brazil sent investigators who believed the people were all experiencing mass hysteria...until they too were attacked and saw crafts of all shapes and sightings. And beings too.

Over 20 years ago, Niqui McCown went on some errands days before her wedding. Both her and her fiancé were busy with happy preparations. Niqui took some clothes to a laundromat and was never seen again. Her case has long gone cold and police seem to be ignoring it even though her family has fought for visibility since day one. Join us as we explore this tragic, mysterious case.
Due to personal issues and a bunch of nonsense, June's last episode is today! You will all get an extra ep this week as we get back into the swing of things. Poor Willow was trapped in a different town for nearly two days due to her car breaking down.
Thank you all for understanding! We love you!

We interrupt our monthly theme to bring you: The Jane Collective. This episode contains talk about abortion and harm to women who had to self abort. Listener discretion is advised.
In light of Roe v Wade being overturned, we thought it was important to share this episode with all of our listeners. This was originally a patron's only episode. The Jane Collective formed in the late sixties as a mutual aid network in Chicago committed to providing women with safe abortions, even if doing so wasn't legal. It was an amazing network of women activists that likely saved hundreds of lives. Join us as we talk about this group, the importance of freedom of choice and bodily autonomy and how anti abortion laws are violence.

Henry McCabe went out with friends for a night of clubbing and drinking. After the club closed he is dropped off at a gas station, where minutes later he makes a frantic phone call to his wife that ends up getting recorded. It's the last time anyone ever hears from Henry again. The audio of that phone call is so disturbing, some say even inhuman. Several voices other than Henry's can be heard. We've obtained the full recording, which is hard to find (not impossible if you dig!) and share it in this truly strange and haunting case.

Laura Grillo, aged 37, was murdered 8 days before her wedding day. When all the dust settles and investigators hone in on who had her killed, the surprise would come not in the suspect, her fiance John Makris, but in the fact he'd been planning it before he proposed.
