Cryptic Chronicles

In this episode, I cover the work of John Greenewald JR, known as the Black Vault.

In 1996, John Greenewald, Jr. began researching the secret inner workings of the U.S. Government at the age of fifteen. He targeted such agencies as the CIA, FBI, Pentagon, Air Force, Army, Navy, NSA, DIA, and countless others.

Greenewald utilized the Freedom of Information  Act (FOIA) to gain access to more than two million pages of documents.  This archive includes information relating to UFOs, the JFK  Assassination, chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons, and top-secret aircraft. He took the millions of pages and, over two decades, has built an archive known worldwide as The  Black Vault.

Inside The Black Vault: The Government’s UFO Secrets  Revealed takes you on a journey within the secret world of unidentified aerial phenomena that has plagued the military since at least the  1940s. Declassified records prove that the UFO topic is one of the most highly classified and elusive subjects the U.S. Government has ever dealt with. Each chapter explores various agencies and their documents,  and Greenewald explains why some of the most critical documents are relevant to proving a massive cover-up.

Along with declassified documents, Greenewald outlines his struggle to get them. No other topic has proven difficult in more than  8,000 FOIA requests he has filed. He explores why that might be and meets skeptics, and debunkers head-on, outlining why some of their more prominent rebuttals for it all cannot be true.

In this episode, I'm joined by Doctor Dingus and Malacor V, who are other oddity podcasters, and we have a conversation about serial killers. If you got a weak stomach or are influenced by disturbing things, then skip this episode. Listener beware. There is also a bazillion F-bombs, so to say this episode is explicit is an understatement. You've been warned.

What is it that fascinates people about serial killers? They seem to be a big part of the culture of countries worldwide, with their influence here in America being prominent in the entertainment industry as well. The media has even created celebrity monsters on several occasions by hyping them up in highly stylized and dramatized coverage that draws the attention of the masses.

Perhaps this is an echo of humanity’s macabre fascination with death from our more uncivilized past. Public executions used to be entertainment for entire communities, with almost all coming to attend and watching the horror playing out in awe. It was a form of entertainment that was casually accepted by everyone, with no sense of depravity found in the enjoyment of watching other humans suffer.

In any case, our fascination with serial killers reveals a darker nature hidden from our collective conscious minds. The serial killer is one of us. They are born from our society, and just like the homeless population, they are a mirror of the darker parts of human nature present in all cultures. People tend to think that they are separate from others, but we are much more the creations of the collective than most would care to admit.

In this first episode of Horrible Hauntings, Tim will take you on a journey to some of the most haunted places from around the world. What is it about ghost stories that fascinate us? Is it a longing to understand the mystery or get a glimpse if there is anything waiting for us on the other side? Every human culture from human history seems to have tales about apparitions of the departed, and science has done nothing to slow this ancient tradition. Whether one believes in spirits or not, all of us enjoy a good ghost story.

For decades countless abductees have told stories of extraterrestrials abducting humans to create alien hybrids. In today's episode we are going to go over some of the stories behind these alien abductions and the myriad alien hybrid programs said to be occurring on Earth using the human genome as a foundation of their experiments. Whether these memories are conscious or buried deep within the psyche, they haunt those who have had the unfortunate circumstances to experience the phenomenon. What could the aliens want? Are their intentions good? Do they just seek self-preservation? Or, are their motives far more malevolent? Let's explore these narratives, and hope we never have to endure an encounter with aliens seeking to harvest us for their ineffable hybrid programs. This is a Patron topic request, and I hope the supporters are pleased with the deep dive.
