Cryptic Soup Pod

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee in the 1800s in London, where you hear rumors of a crazy monster who looks like a man but exhibits abnormally fast speeds and can leap over buildings. Do you recognize this tall tale? It is none other than Spring-Heeled Jack, and we're here to tell you about him.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee as they discuss the events that occurred in 1995 on a daytime talk show that decided it would be more dramatic to leave out some details. Needless to say, dramatic doesn't even come close. After an episode all about "secret admirers" where Scott Amedure professed his crush on Jonathan Schmitz turns deadly, we learn about the gay hate crime that introduced the term "gay panic".

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee for a REALLY off-the-rails episode. You thought you’ve heard it all, but just wait… there are a lot of aliens, random stories, and insane energy in this wild ride. The Casa Blanca Entities is an alien story that will keep you GUESSING. So, if you thought we have a hard time staying focused normally, then buckle up.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee in the conversation today about Diane Downs. Diane was a terrible mother and a terrible wife. How do you become a not-so-terrible mother? In Diane’s mind, that means killing your children so you do not have to be a mother anymore. Diane loved attention, but when one man said she could only receive attention if she did not have the baggage of children, that set a plan in motion for Diane.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee as they talk about Michael Taylor. Michael was a British killer from 1974 in England. He was said to be possessed by demons and in love with the leader of his Church group. However, instead of getting the help that was needed, Michael was exorcised in a terrible fashion, which led to the murder of his wife Christine, and their dog.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee down in the Louisiana bayous where a mythical creature is lurking not far. The Rougarou is here. Join in on the conversation as they tell you all about how someone becomes a Rougarou, where they lurk, and just where the legend began.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee as they talk about an Indiana-based case where a young teen girl named Shanda Sharer was brutally tortured and murdered by four girls. These girls had zero remorse, smiled in their mugshots, and thought this was not a big deal, all while Shanda’s family now has to live with the fact that their young girl was taken away from them forever. Disclaimer: This case goes there, with implications of sexual abuse, sodomy, rape, torture, and child abuse. If that's not for you, we understand and we'll see you next Tuesday for the next episode.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup. Join Thena and Kylee in one "mess of an episode" where they introduce the man behind the computer, editor, Corey, as he joins in on the conversation about one of his favorite nerd topics, Kaijus. Going on tangents of Kaiju lore, serpents, Star people, aliens, and reptilians just touches on the topics talked about in this one. The discussion even mentioned crazy David Icke and his weirdness, but you wouldn’t believe some of the crazy stuff that man believes without listening to the episode. Also, Corey, his voice...chefs kiss.
