I am Not the Body.
Meg found ‘Running up That Hill’ after 2nd album tour burn-out
had an Overwhelming realization - that the Universe had her back
36 years surviving dissociation from her body
the change is that the challenge is now happening for her, not to her
No more people pleasing – an Evolution into a Safer space
an epiphany of self-realization.
One Universe of Expression.
Shutting out the opinions and expectation of others
Difficult, intense, magical time leading to greater wisdom
Removing the armour of invention
Tiny deaths brought release and growth
The Id not The Ego
Released from the toxicity and trauma of childhood
Meg finds new expression of self and spirit through music
Resisting all outside intrusions to take time to Create a safe channel.
Open to Greater Wisdom
‘When there is no me, there is more authenticity.’
Meg’s process of Evolution? - Hacking the System!
a major perspective shift, an all-knowing Higher self
Nothing to be done and Everything will be done.
Hmmm…. Exactly!

When not on tour Ilan is at his mixing desk
No exercise for young Lol - now he loves the gym
The Cure main man does not - (Unless he pumps at night)
Lol was a man of extremes - Smoking was his hardest stop
Budgie sent a taxi for his ciggies - and sometimes ate a Porky-Pie
(Or was that his drum co.?) No gaffe tape on Budgie’s drums

The first time may be exciting, but it sucks the life out of everything.
It's the druggist’s dilemma - missing stuff when young
Lush stopped and Everything changed
It's good the world changed too.
Early 90’s Game Changers
Life without a safety net, no gold watch
Lol found his Inner Chuck Berry in South America
Miki Liked that and Budgie’s drumming
The Cure and The Banshees emerged from an Innocent Time
Gilbert and George v Lol and Budgie
Drinking with The Wankers at 5am
From Whitechapel to Soho
Brit Pop was a marketing construct.
Elastica’s difficult 2nd album took them to France
Siouxsie and Budgie’s house for inspirational tea
There should be a Book – Book Events are Cool
People always ask the question that isn't a question
Miki wasn't part of any club's elite
Who’d want to be a member of the club that would have us as a member?
Miki felt humiliated amongst the paraphernalia of professional drug takers
Miki was not good with drugs – a weeping-jello-mess-in-crisis in the corner
Lol backed off from it – a blessing in disguise.
Drugs took away a lot of personalities, all looking for a good time
Peer Pressure - You’re either built for it or you’re not.
The High was a Low on so many levels
Blimey! - We could talk forever!

Miki and Budgie met a long time ago – was it after a Curve show?
Miki with Red hair, Budgie with blonde they were a good Match!
Struck up many enlightening conversations!!
The lost evenings with Donald - hairdresser to the stars.
Budgie drank in Heaven (Underneath the Arches)
Picked up a date but didn’t realise it,
Not green, but pleasant, especially after a few Manhattans!
We were all young then! Emotional Babies!
Budgie and Lol love Miki’s Memoir!
Honest and Authentic - which it’s hard to Be.
Miki and Lol shared the same streets of London but never met.
We walked everywhere - no phones - no way to contact
Like a homing pigeon Budgie always found his way home
Miki followed the tube stations - Roaming with Emma but no walkie-talkie in 5 years!
Complex Band relationships suffer from outside pressure and from people with chisels.
Lol empathises 100 % Miki’s experience with Emma - as his with Robert.
Will we all ever speak again? Is Morrissey bitter?
Many memoirs end with courtroom drama.
Malcom was a rotter says Lydon. Morrissey needs an editor says Lol!
That’s a complement says Miki – it’s a proper Mills & Boon.
Miki haunted by Mike Hedges’ old house in France.
Lol recalls a depressing Disintegration.
But Pool table respite with Simon and the funny cue ball.
Lol loved Miraval. The Slits loved being looked after at Ridge Farm Studios.
Budgie met Viv again at a Berlin book festival - they had cake and tea and grown-up conversations.
Miki is happy she had the band but happier in her new job - she’s had the best of both worlds.
Lol wanted to be present for his son and so no touring thru’ his teens.
We love writing as much as making music - Lol ran away at the destruction of the band.
He came to America and America saved him.

It was The Birthday Party’s 1st London gig
When Budgie gate-crashed their dressing room
The party was a witty one from midnight ‘til Dawn
Melting in the daylight at 7am, all bright and scrubbed.
Editing for K-Tel specials,
Nick fearlessly edits the multi-track vertically AND horizontally!
Lol bought ‘The Lamb’, with a scratch that jumped in time - A miracle!
Budgie feels the spirit of ‘76 with The Chats’ Smoko,
& Amyl and the Sniffers - Listen to the Big Bass Drum
Lolly T and Mickey D went for Lunch in NYC
Their Taxi driver played only hip-hop
When The Cure came on the radio the guitars made his jaw drop!
Nick was 21 on The Dreaming with Kate Bush
Her sonic landscape was like The Banshees and PIL
Lol never played to a click track – only to Robert’s voice
Back when drummers kept the time!
Nick’s big plans lead to ‘Peaky Blinders’ Season 6
Working with Anna Calvi,
Who Budgie helped make smile again.
After Anna had destroyed her dressing room!
And when Lol felt The Cure played a peaky-blinder of a gig,
Robert hated it and vice versa.
“That’s The Drummers Dilemma” says Budgie
With IEM’s Lol heard Simon for the time ever!
The Banshees and Mötörhead shared crews and gear
We all loved Lemmy - Budgie and Phil-thy ‘Animal’ Taylor
Were drummers in dance tights
We’re happy we survived – and we’re not done yet!
Iggy P., and Anna C., you heard it here first …
