A gate metaphor is a transition of reality

Is it possible we're looking for God to do something that we are responsible for our own circumstances?

Pr21:31 we prepare the horse for battle, but deliverance is of the Lord

Refining our focus, make sure you're on the right target

Joseph's coat of many colors, gambling for Jesus coat, Elijah's coat transferred to Elijah, what it means in covenant terms and more

Galatians 3:27 Paul talked about putting on the coat of Christ as we’re baptized

God puts his coat on us to serve his purpose and this is the only way it works 

Ps100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving

If God isn’t in our praises, whose presence do we enter when we complain?

What gate to we enter with complaints

Giving up gives the illusion of relief….you say it’s over and you try to convince yourself it's okay

Have to keep serving the Lord, have to keep going 

Do not let the fear of failure keep you from keep going

Every branch in me that does not bear fruit I will cut off

Every branch that is in me will be pruned

Unless and when you don’t have a drive to do something better for the Lord a church like CWC seems useless

Disciples argue who is the greatest

How did Jesus handle these kinds of things

Whoever is the greatest must become the least

-the least likely to succeed was David

If you have that forward motion do not stop

The forward momentum of that breakthrough event carried him through

We should see the enemy fleeing as the enemy flees

Breakthrough isn’t the time to rest, but the time to keep pursuing the enemy 

If you knew god’s purpose for your life, you wouldn’t want to do anything else

Many are called few are chosen

We think God likes us when we put on false humility

God likes us when we put on the things he created us to be

When God exposed Gideon, that’s when Gideon changed and started to become who God wanted

He’s in us to help us

He’s around us to help others

Disciples argued amongst themselves who is the greatest

Jesus said who is the greatest servant among you is the greatest

Weakness in prayer exposes me to temptations I don’t need to face

May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened so you may know the hope of his calling

If God is enthroned in power by my praises, then who is empowered by my complaining?

Illustrate values -do we value the same thing God values

Excellent in our purposes

-The same measure you use will be measured back to you

Give unto the Lord -the same measure-is a promise

What Jesus was trying to say is how we will handle it when and how others get blessed

If you can’t handle the fair wage when it’s given you, how will you handle extreme grace when it comes?

Heb4:2 for indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed it’s faith in those who heard it
