ABOUT THE EPISODE Saint Vincent College is bringing back wrestling and the Bearcats Head Coach Dominick Nania is ready to build the program up. Coach Nania was hired in May and has a whole year to recruit the SVC first class for the 2023-24 season. He enjoyed a standout four-year career for the Cardinals, serving as a three-year team captain and compiling 98 career victories. He was a two-time NCAA Division II National Championship qualifier and currently holds the program's records for wins, pins (42) and technical falls (17). He coached at the high school level, Hempfield and Norwin, and also coached at D2 Seton Hill.

ABOUT THE EPISODE UW Eau-Claire Head Coach Tim Fader joined the show to talk about the Bluegolds breakout season last year and how they're going to build off of their success. We also talk about his coaching stints at UW LaCrosse and UW Whitewater. He was WIAC Coach of the Year four times in 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2014 and National Wrestling Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2012, and the d3Wrestle.com National Coach of the Year in 2014 with a national runner-up finish at Whitewater.  His teams have had eight top 10 finishes at nationals.  His 2000 La Crosse squad won the national dual meet championship.  He has coached more than 40 All-Americans and 55 Scholastic All-Americans.

ABOUT THE EPISODE York College Head Coach Duane Bastress joins the show to share his story and how he found York. Bastress transferred to York from Bloomsburg and was a 2x DIII Champ with the Spartans. Bastress completed his senior year 40-0 and his three years at York College with a mark of 97-6. Including his one year stint at Bloomsburg, Bastress compiled a collegiate record of 114-21. He also ended his career with a 65-match winning streak. The Spartans are coming off a great NCAA tournament where two wrestlers got on the podium and they finished tied for 12th.

ABOUT THE EPISODE Lakeland Head Coach Mike DeRoehn is back after a one year hiatus from the coaches corner. He was the head coach at Lakeland from 2010-2014. He also had coaching stints at UW-Oshkosh and UW-Platteville. On top of his wrestling coach responsibilities he has served as a head strength and conditioning coach within the athletic department. Coach DeRoehn is passionate about his profession and is excited to get Lakeland to be competitive on the conference, regional, and national level.

ABOUT THE EPISODE Episode 69 features Brad Bruhn, recently retired from SUNY Cortland after 20 successful years at the helm. He has led the Red Dragons to top-30 NCAA Division III finishes 15 times, including eight top-10 and 11 top-20 showings. Bruhn is Cortland's career victory leader with a combined 236-101-1 (.700) dual-match record and his teams have won at least 10 matches 15 times.

Bruhn was a three-time National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American and earned All-America honors at 126 pounds in 1995 and an Assistant Coach there for three seasons after graduation.
