Dave B and Dave D are waiting for your messages!
It's the first Monday in October and we're back with the latest podcast episode which is just as busy as you've come to expect from Dave B and Dave D.
Dave McB is back from his Scottish honeymoon and found plenty of great beers, one of which earns high praise in Brew To Me!
Dave D has also been busy and has lots to report from his trips to Derby Beer Con and Beer Central festivals!
Continuing the Scottish theme, Iain from Fyne Ales joins us to talk about their plans, brewery tap and amazing beer festival, Fyne Fest.
As something a little different, we take two beers and tackle the issue of storage. Should your craft beers be room temp or straight from the fridge? The results are pretty conclusive!
We have our latest Drinkalong in association with our sponsors Haul! which also has some Scottish influence and just to make it a full house, Vault City and Alpha Delta feature with a sour IPA for Hype or Tripe, a style that's very new to Dave B!

In episode 19 of the Daftaboutcraft Podcast we spoke to Paul - one half of the Haul! Beer Shop in Stourbridge in the West Midlands. There was plenty of audio we were unable to squeeze into the show, so we're presenting a special here with the full interview which contains some fascinating insights and thoughts on the craft beer scene.
Our next full episode will be available to stream and download from October 4, 2021 and will contains all our usual features, plus lots more including the lowdown on Dave B's honeymoon and craft beer tour of Yorkshire and Scotland!

Dave B and Dave D are waiting for your messages!
It's September and we're back with the latest podcast episode which is just as busy as you've come to expect from Dave B and Dave D.
We drink a couple of pilsners in our Brew To Me section and compare notes. We talk to head brewer Rob at Briarbank in Ipswich who tells us about how the brewery has evolved and what the future might hold, while we reveal our favourite tipples from the last few weeks in Tried & Tested which gets Dave D waxing lyrical about his visit to the new Black Iris taproom in Nottingham.
Our Hype Or Tripe feature goes into overload as we examine an 18% booze bomb from Tiny Rebel and pitch it alongside something hefty from Northern Monk.
All that before we get to the Drinkalong brought to you in association with our sponsor Haul! Beer Shop in Stourbridge in the West Midlands. Get your cans at the ready as we sample beers from Pollys, Fallen Acorn and a collab between Pastore and London's Brick Brewery - and on this episode we're doing it with a difference. Dave D is joined by Paul - one half of Haul! - while Dave B enjoys his honeymoon and collects more beery tales and experiences to share on episode 20, available to stream and download from October 4!

Dave B and Dave D are waiting for your messages!
There's no wedding in this episode, but that doesn't mean we've not got plenty of exciting things to discuss!
Dave D has been out and about, including a trip to BrewLdn, which he thoroughly enjoyed. While there, he met Dan, one of the co-owners of Heist Brew Co, and we then got to have a chat with him on the eve of their taproom opening in Sheffield.
Continuing the BrewLdn theme, Dave D caught up with John from Lord's Brewing Co. while he was at Canada Water to see how he was enjoying the festival.
Our second Drinkalong in association with Haul! Beer Shop has offerings from Rock Leopard, The Kernel and Three Hills, plus musings on beer styles, late night taxi rides and sub-genres of techno!
We head to Sweden for Brew To Me, while Wylam make a first appearance in the Hype or Tripe section with the wonderfully named Betty The Bat Tipa.
We are two guys, called Dave. We're massive fans of the craft beer scene and we release a new episode every three weeks. We are proudly sponsored by Haul! Beer Shop and will be teaming up with them for our Drink Along With Us feature in every episode.

In this latest episode we relive Dave B's wedding, which was helped along by our good friends from Copper Beech, and enjoy our first Drinkalong beers from our new sponsor!
Bini Brew Co have many interesting stories to go with their beers and Rich, James and Nick have just moved into bigger premises to get more of their beers out there. These guys are super friendly, and their beers are brilliant as well.
Then, for something completely different, we talk to Joe, who is the founder of the Battle Of The Breweries trading card game. Not only is the game enjoyable, but Joe has pitched it perfectly at everyone's inner geek. You will want to collect all the cards!
All this and more on the latest - and longest - episode of Daftaboutcraft! If you're a craft fan, you won't want to miss out!

We're back with episode 16, recorded just a few days before Dave B's wedding! There's heaps going on as usual, including an excellent and entertaining interview with Carl - owner, brewer, social media guru, and every other job you can think of for the Frisky Bear Brewing Company in Leeds. Find out all about the brewery, what the future holds and where Carl likes to go drinking - plus loads more.
We crack open a can each from a brewery we haven't tried before in our Brew To Me feature, with Dave B going to Mold in North Wales for something from Hafod Brewing Company, while Dave D checks out the Bereta Brewing Company in Romania (spoiler: one is very, very good!).
The good folk from Ridgeside pop in to give us the lowdown on what's happening in their world, while a pair of beers from Staggeringly Good get a good grilling in Hype Or Tripe.

On this episode we are joined by brothers Freddie and George Jeffries, aka Jeffersons Brewing. We were blown away by their Dipa on a previous episode, and the good news is their other beers are just as good! They have big plans, so keep an eye out for them as they are going places in a hurry.
Solvay Society successfully Crowdfunded this year to expand their Leytonstone operation, and Polly gives us the lowdown on what's happening at the Belgian-influenced brewery.
Plus there's usual favourites like Brew To Me, which features Gan Yam Brew Co and Maule Brewing, while Dave B goes all Fancy (clue) for his Hype or Tripe offering, whereas Dave D sticks to something dark and moody from Holy Goat Brewing.

Episode 13 is here and it's busy and controversial in equal measure!
We've made some more new friends, this time it's Phil and Sam from Hip Flask. A business born in lockdown, Hip Flask offers no-subscription beer boxes that shine a light on Manchester's burgeoning scene.
Andrew from Three Hills Brewing also drops by for an update on what's going on in Northamptonshire, with the guys turning out some excellent beers recently. There's also our latest Drinkalong courtesy of Real Drinks, which has something for everyone, even birdwatchers, again!
A beer from a garden centre and one that holds personal affection for both Daves feature in Brew To Me, while the controversy lies in Hype or Tripe, so make sure to listen!

We've lots to get stuck into on our latest episode, and have headed north again, this time for a chat with Matt from Zapato Brewery. A modern twist on classic European beers is Zapato's calling card, and there are more beers on the way.
There's a Matt double dose, as Nightjar Brew Co's director joins us for the lowdown on what's happening at the brewery, and if you haven't tried any of their beers yet, do yourself a favour and get hold of some as they are truly excellent.
Our sponsors Real Drinks have had a rebrand, and even brewed a beer to celebrate, so that, plus beers from Squawk and Basqueland are the beverages of choice for a bumper Drink Along With Us!
We also have our usual features, with Horsforth Brewery, Hops and Dots and Caps Off all featuring in Brew to Me. Hype or Tripe is a clash of styles, with a Tipa from Burnt Mill - Tree Of Life - and a Russian Imperial Stout from Polly's - The Rivalita - roadtested.
All this and much more in the latest episode of Daftaboutcraft, the craft beer podcast - an exploration of the wonderful and creative world of craft beer.
