Psalm 46:1 — When the Day Has Taken Its Toll, Come Back to the God Who Is Your Refuge Live from London, England — carrying this evening prayer across the world, from the United States and United Kingdom to Australia, South Africa and India. Three Prayer Themes: Rest after a demanding day • God’s presence in pressure and uncertainty • Peace for families, communities and the wider world Psalm 46:1 (NIV) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. By now, the day may have taken more from you than you expected. Perhaps work has been demanding, a conversation has stayed on your mind, or something you hoped would go well simply didn’t. Sometimes the hardest part of the day is coming to the evening and realising you are still carrying what happened earlier. You don’t have to carry it into tonight. Lord Jesus, we bring You this day exactly as it has been. Thank You for the moments that brought joy, and meet us in the moments that were difficult. Where there has been tension, bring peace. Where there has been disappointment, bring perspective. Where there has been pressure, help us breathe again and remember that You are near. We pray for people and families across the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa and India. Bring peace into homes where there has been disagreement. Strengthen those carrying responsibilities for others. Give wisdom to those making difficult decisions, and comfort those who are quietly hurting. Holy Spirit, turn our hearts back towards Jesus. Remind us that the God of Israel remains our refuge and strength, not only when life feels secure, but especially when it does not. Jesús, pongo este día en Tus manos. Quédate conmigo y dame Tu paz. Isaiah 41:10 — When You Feel You Have Nothing Left, Remember That Jesus Has Not Left You Live from London, England — carrying this midday prayer across the world, from Brazil and Nigeria to Spain, France and the Philippines. Three Prayer Themes: Strength when you feel weary • God’s presence when you feel alone • Courage to keep going when the day feels heavy Scripture — Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. Perhaps you have reached the middle of the day and realised just how much you have already carried. The morning may have asked more of you than you expected. You may be tired, distracted, disappointed, or quietly wondering how you are going to find the strength for the hours still ahead. Before you push yourself any further, stop for a moment. Breathe. Jesus is here. Lord Jesus, meet us in this middle place. Where we are weary, give us strength. Where we feel alone, remind us that Your presence has not moved. Where something has disappointed us, help us not to lose heart. We do not need to pretend that everything is fine. We can bring You exactly how we feel. We pray for people and families across Brazil, Nigeria, Spain, France and the Philippines. For those working through difficult circumstances, give them endurance. For those carrying family concerns, draw close. For those who have been praying for an answer and are still waiting, give them patience and hope. Holy Spirit, gently turn our hearts towards Jesus. Help us remember that the God of Israel has not forgotten His people. Give us courage for the next step, not because we know everything that lies ahead, but because we know who walks with us. Perhaps the morning has already become busy. The messages have started arriving, the work has begun, responsibilities are calling, and somewhere in the middle of it all you can feel your mind becoming crowded. You may be trying to hold everything together while quietly wondering how you are going to get through the day. Before you carry another thing, bring it to Jesus. Lord Jesus, we bring You the worries we have been carrying since we woke. Some are small and some feel overwhelming, but none of them are too small for You. Teach us to pause before fear takes over. Give us wisdom for what needs our attention and grace to leave what we cannot control in Your hands. We pray for people across South Africa, Germany, Kenya, Austria and Canada. Meet those facing pressure at work, those caring for their families, those waiting for an answer, and those quietly struggling behind a smile. Before you think about everything that didn’t get finished, take a moment to remember what did happen. Perhaps there was a conversation that mattered, a small kindness, a moment when you found strength you didn’t know you had, or simply the grace to keep going. Not every day feels remarkable, but every day gives us reasons to notice God’s goodness. Lord Jesus, thank You for being with us through this day. Thank You for the moments we noticed and the moments we didn’t. Thank You for carrying us when we were tired, giving us wisdom when we were unsure and meeting us in places where we needed Your help. We pray tonight for people and families across the Russian Federation, Rwanda, South Korea, Nigeria, Botswana and Bahrain. Wherever this day has been difficult, bring comfort. Wherever it has been joyful, receive our thanks. And wherever someone is wondering whether they made any progress at all, help them recognise that simply continuing can sometimes be a gift of grace. Jesus, we don’t need to pretend today was perfect. We can give You the good moments, the difficult moments and everything in between. Help us remember Your faithfulness rather than counting only what went wrong. As we prepare to sleep, settle our hearts. Sometimes it simply means you’ve been carrying a lot. Jesus, meet us here. Where our strength has run low, remind us that we don’t have to manufacture more. We can bring our weariness to You. Give us grace for what remains today, and help us recognise the difference between something we need to finish and something we can safely leave until tomorrow. We pray for people and families across Israel, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands, India, Ireland and China. Be close to those who have worked long hours, cared for others, carried responsibilities quietly or simply reached the end of their strength. Give them encouragement where they feel worn down, and remind them that their value is not measured by how much they manage to accomplish. Lord Jesus, renew us as we place our hope in You. We may not suddenly feel strong, but we can take another faithful step with You. When the road feels long, stay close. When we feel we have little left, remind us that we are not walking alone. Lord Jesus, we bring those hidden places to You now. Where we have been hurt, bring Your healing. Where disappointment has left us wondering, meet us with Your kindness. Where something from the past still affects the present, give us grace to bring it into Your light without fear. We pray for people and families across Spain, Ghana, Brazil, Hungary, Romania and France. Be close to those carrying grief, loneliness, strained relationships or burdens they rarely speak about. Meet people in the ordinary places where life is difficult, and remind them that they do not have to walk through those places alone. Jesus, we trust You with the parts of our story that we cannot repair ourselves. We won’t pretend that every wound disappears in a moment, but we will bring it to You. Give us patience with the healing process, courage to receive help when we need it, and hope that Your presence is with us along the way. Let Your peace reach the places we have kept guarded. Help us take today’s next step with You. Fear will not win, because Jesus is still at work in the places that hurt. Amen. My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. There are mornings when you wake and, before your feet have even touched the floor, your mind has already started thinking about everything the day might bring. Perhaps there is a conversation you are dreading, a bill you are wondering how to meet, someone you love who is on your mind, or simply the uncertainty of what lies ahead. You do not have to carry all of that before the day has even begun. Pause for a moment and look to Jesus. Lord Jesus, I give You this day. Give me Your peace where I am uncertain, Your wisdom where I do not know what to do, and Your courage for the steps I need to take. Watch over me and those I love. Help me remember that I do not have to solve everything this morning. You are already with me. We pray for people and families across the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan. Meet those waking with hope and those waking with heavy hearts. For the person who is afraid of what today may bring, draw close. For the person carrying concern for someone they love, bring peace. For the person who feels alone, let them know they have not been forgotten. Holy Spirit, gently lead our hearts towards Jesus today. Lord Jesus, we don’t need to see the whole road this morning. We simply ask You to lead us through the next step. Where we are uncertain, give us wisdom. Where we are tempted to rush ahead, give us patience. Where fear is making the future look bigger than it really is, help us remember that You are already there. The day is nearly finished now. Whatever it has brought, you have made it to this moment. Perhaps there are things you wish had gone differently, or things you still need to think about tomorrow. But tonight, you don’t have to keep everything turning over in your mind. You can become still and let Jesus hold what you cannot.  PSALM 121:3–4 (NIV) “He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” Jesus, thank You that while we sleep, You do not. We can close our eyes because Your care does not switch off when ours does. Watch over every home and every person listening tonight. Bring peace to the heart that has been carrying too much, and quietness to the mind that has struggled to settle. We pray for people and families across the Russian Federation, Rwanda, South Korea, Nigeria, Botswana and Bahrain. Be near to those preparing for sleep, those caring for someone they love, and those facing tomorrow with questions they cannot yet answer. Let them know that they are not forgotten and that Jesus remains close. Father, we release this day to You. We cannot go back and change what has happened, and we don’t need to live tomorrow tonight. What belongs to tomorrow can wait. Tonight, we place ourselves safely in Your hands. Jesus, let Your assurance settle gently over us. You are awake when we sleep. You are present when we cannot see.
