There is less than a decade of time left for Congress to repair Social Security before funds are depleted, according to a new report from Social Security trustees. If ignored, the loss could result in a cut in payments of up to 21% for millions of retirees. TikTok and its Chinese parent company ByteDance have filed a lawsuit against the federal government over its potential ban of the social media platform in the United States. In the lawsuit, TikTok and ByteDance claim the law signed by President Joe Biden last month that would force the company to sell the platform to a non-Chinese company in nine to 12 months or face a ban in the U.S. violates users’ First Amendment rights. During a Tuesday night press conference, Ryan Smith, owner of the Utah Jazz and now Utah’s National Hockey League team, revealed his plan to renovate the interior of the 33-year-old arena not long after officially acquiring the Arizona Coyotes last month. Smith's entertainment group painted a picture of how they imagine the "Delta Center District" will look, with walkable blocks throughout the area, connecting to City Creek Mall. Former President Trump faced a new threat in his New York criminal trial on Monday. Judge Merchan raised the possibility of jail if he continues to violate a gag order. Trump has been fined 10 times  for breaking the order, which bars the former president from attacking jurors, court officials and members of the judge’s family, among others.
