Smart phones, smart homes, and now smart roads? Yep!

The Utah Department of Transportation is starting a pilot program that connects roads and cars. The idea is to push data to vehicles to alert drivers to hazards on the roads -- in hopes of saving lives and reducing traffic backups.

A West Jordan neighborhood was the sight of tragedy and heroism over the weekend. A small plane crashed into a home killing 3 onboard, injuring other passengers, and critically injuring an elderly woman who neighbors say was on her deck.
