An in depth and irreverent look at 90's TV classic Dawson's Creek hosted by Kathryn and Katie.
This week, we’re finally back and reminding ourselves what on earth has happened in S6, E1-6 thus far. It’s a wild ride everyone!
We are unpacking Dawson having sex with an unbelievable two whole (good looking) women, Joey and another terrible teacher, Jen and CJ, Pacey’s stockbroker brah revamp and Audrey popping out of a coffin. Were also chatting 80’s Halloween, CJ’s Tobey vibes, Emma’s crap English accent and lots of wank jokes, yay!!!

This week, we’re finally back and doing the much promised and completely not delivered Halloween episode. We’re at a ‘morally impaired’ party and Dawson is seeing things (well, ghosts), Jen is trying her luck with Jensen Ackles and Pacey and Audrey are finally on the outs. Also, Joey is doing her daddy issues thing again and there’s some more hate flirting with Eddie. We’re chatting spaff (some things don’t change everyone!), how ‘morally impaired’ should be a recognised condition, whether we'd kick Jensen Ackles out of bed and Katie shows us how to make everything about ourselves. So, let’s get spooky with the most unlikely and stupid Halloween prank ever, deal with a hugely stereotypical teen and finally put the final nail in the coffin (see what we did there?) of Pacey and Audrey. Happy (obscenely late, but would you expect anything less?!?) Halloween!!!

An in depth and irreverent look at 90's TV classic Dawson's Creek hosted by Kathryn and Katie.
This week, Kathryn is INCREDULOUS because Dawson is apparently single handedly running a film set with no qualifications or experience, Freeman is gaslighting Jack and Joey and Eddie’s ‘relationship’ is doing something or other. Also, Audrey is screaming California Dreaming (much like Kathryn and Katie are, sorry about that) and Pacey is absent. We’re chatting tips and tits, Pacey’s sexy knitwear, niche references from 90’s UK TV and how Dawson is Skipper to Pacey’s Barbie. So, let’s get into the actors studio with Dawson Leery, Patron Saint of the Creek, form then perform with a band in less than 24 hours and get so angry at literally everything. And remember, don’t think, just act, and always be aware of where the camera is, people!

This week, Kathryn had the absolute pleasure to chat with entertainment journalist and author of the brilliant ‘Freaks, Gleeks and Dawson’s Creek’, Thea Glassman.
Kathryn and Thea chat about this wonderful book and then about the Dawson’s Creek chapter specifically. Thea tells Kathryn about some behind the scenes drama, how she has recently interviewed Joshua Jackson (scream!) and about a Dawson’s Creek spin off (it will blow your mind). We get nostalgic and talk about our favourite episodes and the great Pacey or Dawson question. (Also, Kathryn knows she mislabeled Promicide as The Anti Prom, she’s very sorry).
‘Freaks, Gleeks and Dawson’s Creek’ is an amazing book that covers 7 iconic teen shows, we can’t recommend it enough! Find links to buy the book here.

An in depth and irreverent look at 90's TV classic Dawson's Creek hosted by Kathryn and Katie.
This week, Kathryn is a Pacey and Katie is a Dawson (and very unhappy about it). Dawson’s recent past comes back to bite him, Pacey is doing stock brah stuff and upsetting Audrey and we’re talking about On The Road a lot. Also, we have to eat our words about another terrible DC teacher, We’re chatting what exactly the ‘thing’ that Pacey and Audrey do is, pissing in sinks, Stock Brahs Inc and Todd’s excellent array of facial responses. So, let’s get drunk because we have to see Dawson (standard), get drunk because Pacey is now a stockbrah (understandable), deal with a truly awful consent issue and round it up with yet another teacher with no boundaries. And remember, your mistakes are in the past so just move on, BELIEVE IT.

This week, we’re dealing with a seriously mortifying ‘send to all’ email faux pas from Joey. Her terrible professor takes it up a notch on the terrible teacher scale, Pacey is still wearing his stockbroker Barbie outfit and there’s a possible interesting storyline for Jack which will probably never go anywhere. We’re chatting Joey’s email address book, literary masturbation, a prolonged foray into Oliver and then Snoop Dog and all the ways we can use the words ‘crack’ and ‘fancy’. So, let’s send an email to the entire campus, have another teacher behave horribly unprofessionally (seriously stop with that), learn some hard lessons about stockbroking or life or something and generally have not much happen! Apples and pears, apples and pears, dog and bone, chums.

This week, we’ve got a short episode so Katie can chime in on a few things from S6, E2. She’s absolutely furious that she has to watch, and then talk about, more Dawson/Joey banging but remember the rules, if we have to watch it, she does too. We’re chatting Jensen Ackles, how stupid Dawson designing a set is and the worst and most incredibly frustrating fight we’ve seen on DC yet. And you know the bar is incredibly high (or low) on that one.

This week, Katie is taking a break so Kathryn. Is absolutely delighted to welcome listener Louise (for the second time!) and her Charmed, I’m Sure cohost, Yvette. We’re dealing with Dawson and Joey’s post bang fallout (as it were) and some seriously terrible behaviour from Dawson. Elsewhere, Jen meets Jensen Ackles and Pacey and Jack are still trying to get an apartment from not British Emma. We’re chatting the ongoing development of Pacey stockbroker Barbie, Twin Peaks based casting, why everyone is so horrible to each other and a great theory about why relationships in Dawson’s Creek are so toxic. So, let’s get the fairy lights out, sit at a very shiny table while someone shouts at you, deal with some truly horrific stereotypes, lie about a lot of things and the get gaslighted into oblivion. And remember, it’s not me, it’s you.

An in depth and irreverent look at 90's TV classic Dawson's Creek hosted by Kathryn and Katie.
This week, we’re heading into the final season of our beloved Dawson’s Creek with baited (and wine scented) breath. Everyone is back from summer break and trying to get it together with a series of Dawson’s Creek tropes including terrible teachers, horrible men and bad British accents (their’s not ours). We’re chatting Katie’s new initiative around condoms and vapes, how Pacey is actually Barbie, what a fox says (according to Siri) and more stuff on surfaces that we shouldn’t be talking or thinking about. So, let’s get gaslighted by an awful teacher in Pacey’s shirt, try and rent an apartment with a bird with a faux British accent and face the dawning realization that it might finally time for Joey and Dawson to bang. Just bugger off, chum, ok.

This week we are putting off the inevitable beginning of the end by talking through some best/worst categories of S1-5. Our lovely listeners nominated stuff for us to talk about and we go through it with some surprising and not so surprising answers. We’re chatting seasons, episodes, parents, character nicknames… we probably haven’t even covered half of what we could have said but we did manage to get drunk and burst into song.
