An in depth and irreverent look at 90's TV classic Dawson's Creek hosted by Kathryn and Katie.
This week, we’ve got a short episode so Katie can chime in on a few things from S6, E2. She’s absolutely furious that she has to watch, and then talk about, more Dawson/Joey banging but remember the rules, if we have to watch it, she does too. We’re chatting Jensen Ackles, how stupid Dawson designing a set is and the worst and most incredibly frustrating fight we’ve seen on DC yet. And you know the bar is incredibly high (or low) on that one.

This week, Katie is taking a break so Kathryn. Is absolutely delighted to welcome listener Louise (for the second time!) and her Charmed, I’m Sure cohost, Yvette. We’re dealing with Dawson and Joey’s post bang fallout (as it were) and some seriously terrible behaviour from Dawson. Elsewhere, Jen meets Jensen Ackles and Pacey and Jack are still trying to get an apartment from not British Emma. We’re chatting the ongoing development of Pacey stockbroker Barbie, Twin Peaks based casting, why everyone is so horrible to each other and a great theory about why relationships in Dawson’s Creek are so toxic. So, let’s get the fairy lights out, sit at a very shiny table while someone shouts at you, deal with some truly horrific stereotypes, lie about a lot of things and the get gaslighted into oblivion. And remember, it’s not me, it’s you.

An in depth and irreverent look at 90's TV classic Dawson's Creek hosted by Kathryn and Katie.
This week, we’re heading into the final season of our beloved Dawson’s Creek with baited (and wine scented) breath. Everyone is back from summer break and trying to get it together with a series of Dawson’s Creek tropes including terrible teachers, horrible men and bad British accents (their’s not ours). We’re chatting Katie’s new initiative around condoms and vapes, how Pacey is actually Barbie, what a fox says (according to Siri) and more stuff on surfaces that we shouldn’t be talking or thinking about. So, let’s get gaslighted by an awful teacher in Pacey’s shirt, try and rent an apartment with a bird with a faux British accent and face the dawning realization that it might finally time for Joey and Dawson to bang. Just bugger off, chum, ok.

This week we are putting off the inevitable beginning of the end by talking through some best/worst categories of S1-5. Our lovely listeners nominated stuff for us to talk about and we go through it with some surprising and not so surprising answers. We’re chatting seasons, episodes, parents, character nicknames… we probably haven’t even covered half of what we could have said but we did manage to get drunk and burst into song.

This were aimlessly wandering through S5 desperately trying to find positive things to say about it. We do kind of manage and Audrey, Mitch’s death and Charlie’s abs all get honourable mentions. We then round everything off with some S5 based Would You Rather? heavily featuring a certain set of purple satin sheets. So let’s get derivative and imitative and say bye to S5!

This week, we’re literally hanging out in an airport where everyone (except Joey and Pacey who are at the Yacht Club in Capeside) appears to be. We’re desperately try to wrap up some storylines in the most blandly generic way possible and it’s annoying. We’re chatting Phil the Psychic Pigeon, how going home for the summer isn’t as bad as everyone seems to think it is, Dawson’s love letter templates and how Dawson’s Creek loves a washed up 19 year old. So, let’s hang out in an airport being dramatic AF about how our lives are nothing, be completely gaslit by the Dawson’s Creek writers, be fully confused by everyone and everything and wave goodbye to season 5. Coo coo!

This week it’s the start of summer and we’re back in good old Capeside (well some of us are anyway). Joey is looking for her dad and Dawson is (hopefully) going back to LA. Elsewhere, Jack and Jen are being privileged and AlexPearlnecklace is trying to kill Pacey. We’re chatting Kathryn’s son’s swear jar (a very special and, we hope you agree welcome, appearance), how AlexPearlnecklace has taken to talking like a Disney villain, a massive tangent about cockroaches on heroin and The Chipmunks. So, let’s inconceivably get our terrible stories published, jump in the Porsche of destiny, decide whether to go to Costa Rica or The Hamptons (decisions, decisions) and take yet another a ride on the Joey/Dawson train from hell. Reap the whirlwind, baby!

This week, we’re revising for finals or banging older women or forgiving Todd/Eric for his terrible treatment of Jack or who knows at this point actually. Pacey and Audrey are arguing AGAIN, Dawson ‘bumps into’ film critic Amy Lloyd while Jack stresses about calculus. We’re chatting how sexual harassment is played for lols (give us strength, please), Katie’s new LinkedIn profile, a very visceral reaction to Sketchers and whether we’ve been doing kissing wrong all these years So, lets revise madly for exams, bang (or not bang) older women, continue with the epic, toxic and ridiculous drama and just generally be awful. And remember, she’s a femme fatale with an MBA in taking your man, watch out!

This week, we’re hurtling towards the end of the season and very little seems to be actually happening… Pacey is interacting with Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks (or Tamara Pt 2 if you will), Joey is trying to get rid of Charlie and Dawson and Oliver inexplicably seem to have managed to reschedule that big important meeting they should have never cancelled in the first place. We’re chatting the actress who plays Alex (Pearl Necklace), a great Status Quo joke, whether Dawson’s Creek is sponsored by Levi’s and another reedy vocal performance. So, let’s get fired or not get fired, mess up a meeting then save it and want Charlie but not actually want Charlie and wonder what the hell is actually going on (nothing. The answer is nothing). Fun times.

This week, it’s the 100th episode of Dawson’s Creek and we are SO excited! We’re in Florida (perhaps) and it’s Spring Break! Woooo! Well maybe not because Joey is still entertaining Charlie, Jack is drunk, Jen is ill and Pacey and Audrey are having another pointless fight. Also, Dawson and Oliver are dragging a 4 hour car ride out over the space of a day. We’re chatting some crazy continuity (yes Kathryn googled many journey times), some fairly intense grammar analysis, arsehole mates and pitching tents. So, let’s hop in the jeep of white privilege, have a bad cough (look after yourself, Jen), completely underplay some of the best storylines (and character) this season, continue to entertain a total f-kboi and get all SOULMATES, JOEY on it. Happy 100 everyone!
