What do Ehud’s left hand, Shamgar’s cattle prod, and Jael’s tent peg have in common? God used them all to lead a broken people. In today’s reading, we meet four early Judges—Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar, and Deborah—and begin to see a leadership pattern emerge: God raises up unlikely people with unlikely tools to rescue His people. But not all leaders rise to the challenge… and not all weapons look like weapons.
