Most people treat Job’s friends like fools, but the truth is more complicated. In chapters 15–17, we enter the second cycle of dialog between Job and his companions—and it gets intense. Eliphaz accuses Job of guilt based on how much he talks, while Job insists on his innocence, pleads for justice, and begs for death. In his cries, we hear the echoes of Jesus, the innocent one who would also be pierced, misunderstood, and left in silence—yet become our Advocate.
