Tash has spent over 20 years shaping future change-makers in the creative industry, previously as Programme Leader of the BA and MA Graphic Design course at Salford University then as Director of Masters Europe at Hyper Island working with international students and businesses such as BBC, EY, Unilever & Adidas. A project with the UN developed into a larger brief with two of the students pitching to the UN & at SxSW. Tash was made an Honorary Fellow when she left and sits on the Global Academic Board Her most recent step is into SNOOK, a company whose purpose is “A world where people and planet thrive in balance. Where potential is realised and everyone is empowered to help themselves, and help one another.” This is part of Tashs role as Head of Learning Design at SNOOK, to spread the understanding of the impact of Design within Industry. Tash also has spoken all over the globe at events such as Octoberfest Munich, TedX Manchester, Creative Mornings Gothenburg & for HEC in San Francisco. Parallel to disrupting design education, she has acted as an album creative for the band Elbow, carried out Skateboard design collaborations with Linder Sterling and has her own branded Meitu phone released in China. Her popular daily typographic project, 'Mundaneaday' is now it its seventh year, and its demand has expanded her portfolio to include the commission of large scale hand-lettered murals in studios around UK. Another academic side venture is Design Education, she has teamed up with the mighty Jenny Theolin to create a community, inviting all formal and informal teachers within the design industry with the intention to co-create a safe space to swap and share knowledge, experiences, research, ideas and insights, with the aim to improve the conditions for learning design at school, university and at work. Since its inception in 2019, Design Education Talks podcast has served as a dynamic platform for the exchange of insights and ideas within the realm of art and design education. This initiative sprang from a culmination of nearly a decade of extensive research conducted by Lefteris Heretakis. His rich background, intertwining academia, industry, and student engagement, laid the foundation for a podcast that goes beyond the conventional boundaries of educational discourse.
