Det er klart at det vi tenker om virkeligheten har mye å si for hvordan vi lever. Dersom alt er kaos får vi bare gjøre det beste ut av det for vår egen del uten en stor plan videre - men dersom vi er en del av et designet univers, da ser det hele totalt annerledes ut.
Det vi har funnet ut er at verden viser design - tanke - et sinn. Gud er en meget god kanditat for det, viser Jonathan Wells.
James Tour går i denne videoen steget videre og forteller hva han tror på angående Jesus. Han vokste opp som jøde i New York, og hvis du kjenner litt til denne gruppen, så er det få som går ut med at de har blitt kristne. Hør et spennende vitensbyrd her.

Denne videoen er lagd sammen med Dr James Tour, kanskje en av de mest siterte vitenskapsmenn som er på kloden, med sine 700 vitenskapelige artikler. Men du kommer til å være overrasket. For det som James er mest opptatt av, det er Jesus Kristus. Han snakker om Jesus omtrent hver gang han gjør noe på youtube, han nevner Jesus i businessmøter, og han gir alle som vil muligheten til å skype en time ha ham, hvis de vil bli kjent med Jesus. Han leder folk til Jesus - ukentlig.
Forhåpentligvis får kona til Dr Tour lyst til å se fjord og fjell, for da er de klare for tur, sier han. Det kan bli et spennende møte.

Matti har møtt en god del motstand fra etablerte krefter, men han blir sjeldent imotsagt på det faglige. Selvfølgelig har det også vært en personlig reise for ham. Og han ønsket på ingen måte at Darwin skulle måtte ta feil om en del av sine teorier. Han forteller om at det var en "krig i hans hodet og hjerte i 2 år" for å finne ut av hva han selv tenkte og ville satse på videre.
Om Dr Matti Leisola er en ekte vitenskapsmann er det ingen som stiller spørsmål til. Hans portefolio er udiskuterbar, da han ikke bare har utdannelsen, men også praksisen på plass med å forske på og utvikle, samt selge mikrobiologiske produkter, som han og teamet har designet om til spesifike jobber. Enda er det mange som ikke vil la han slippe til talerstolen i sine universiteter - ikke fordi han ville fortalt noe religiøst, men fordi hans innsigelser til opplest og vedtatt Darwinistisk evolusjon er vrient å motsi. At han fikk den prestigefulle Latiz prisen, og brukte anledningen til å nevne Designeren kan du få høre i disse to spennende videoene. Her er en mann som endret livssyn i lys av vitenskapelige oppdagelser, og som så viste designet i naturen til flere gjennom dialog og diskusjon.

Dr Stephen Meyer er ikke bare dyktig til å fortelle vitenskapshistorie, eller forklare vanskelig biokjemi med enkle eksempler, han kan også dra trådene sammen. Det gjør han i dette intervjuet. Når han ser på alt sammen, alt fra BigBang til finjustering, til mikrobiologi og DNA, til eksplosjoner i fossilene - så er det noe viktig som står igjen under streken for ham.

Vi har brukt en del tid på å dekonstruere lærebøkenes fremstilling av makro-evolusjon, og sett at design er en mye bedre beskrivelse av det som skjer. Du har kanskje hørt om "Intelligent Design"?

Først tror Michael Behe at jeg tuller, når jeg snakker om at motorene i cella er designet slik vi gjør det i dag, og hvem eller hva som kan være ansvarlig for det som finnes av maskiner i cella - men så skjønner han at jeg tenkte å høre hva han tenker.
Han svarer rett ut, samtidig er han veldig bevisst på at biologi ikke sier noe om hvem eller hva som har designet det vi finner. En spennende samtale!
Hva betyr det for deg og verden at ting er designet, vs om de hadde blitt til ved tilfeldigheter?
I dette intervjuet tenker Ann og jeg litt høyt rundt dette. Husker du den unge mannen som styrtet et helt fly fullt av passasjerer og seg selv inne i alpene for noen år siden? Hva om han hadde tenkt med hele sitt hode og hjerte at hans liv og de andres liv hadde en dyp mening og betydning. Hadde han handlet annerledes?
Hvor vi kommer fra forteller oss mye om hvor vi skal.
Ann er ikke redd for å se på sakene og lete etter bevis, selv om det kan få resultater som gjør at hun må endre mening.
Jeg husker godt våre lunsj-samtaler da jeg var i Seattle på sommerkurs om Intelligent Design. Jeg liker innstillingen som disse folka her: Follow the evidence where it leads.
Da jeg var i Seattle og fikk møte en del av staben i tankesmien "Discovery Institute", ble jeg meget imponert. Dette var forskere som ikke bare hadde sine faglige bakgrunnene i orden, de var åpne for å ta feil, og ville ha dialog med hvem som helst som hadde noe å si om tematikkene. Der møtte jeg også Ann Gauger, og vi hadde noen gode lunsjsamtaler sammen.
For kurset og nå podcasten, var jeg så heldig å kunne snakke med Dr Ann Gauger i en avlappet stue-setting, der hun deler tanker om sin reise i livet.
Her får du høre hvordan hun begynte å tenke "design" og etterhvert ble aktiv i Intelligent Design think-tanken Discovery Institute i Seattle.
Dr Axe er innom den gigantiske forskjellen mellom mennesker og dyr, samt hva det betyr for oss mennesker at verden er laget med design og mening.
Jeg husker godt en online-diskusjon på apologetikk facebook gruppen ang om mennesker er dyr. Det virket for mange at det bare å stride i mot sunn fornuft og vitenskapelige funn å hevde at mennesker var noe annet enn dyr.
