Husband and wife owners Dexter and Marilyn Meadows were looking for a new adventure after retirement and Dexters love of the land led them to Umpqua Valley. From Southern California by way of Tuskegee, Alabama, the couple has been married for over 50 years (52 to be exact!) and through this new adventure with Meadows Estates Vineyard and Winery have been able to produce wines mostly known for their rich and earthy tastes such as a Syrah (which received 92 pts) & Pinot Noir, Grenache and Merlot.

Through planned events, workshops, a tasting room, onsite lodging, wedding venue, vineyard and grounds tours, Meadows Estates isnt just a place for wine, but also a community destination.

Dexter MeadowsDexter holds a bachelors degree in architecture from Tuskegee University and a Masters degree in landscape architecture from the University of Michigan.  He is a licensed contractor and landscape architecture in the state of California and enjoys wood working as a hobby.
