I've seen people saying that the 4 Nations Hockey tournament was brilliant and could be a massive boom for the NHL.
I beg to differ. It was fun and it was certainly a victory for hockey. But, it isn't going to help hockey in the long run. Hockey isn't going to be any more popular because of this.
Really, this tournament benefitted from a happy accident.
Hockey had a moment that was similar to the women's basketball moment a few years ago.
