Aaron and Glenys answer a listener's question about how they address the health of very large clients. Is there a size limit to HAES, and do they still feel HAES is appropriate for even the largest bodies? Or is there a size at which they start recommending weight loss?

Aaron and Glenys tackle the topic of orthorexia. Orthorexia, while not an official eating disorder, describes the the obsessive behavior that some people develop in pursuing a "healthy" diet. Like any eating disorder, it can be complex and involve other mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders. And while most people don't have orthorexia, your hosts see more and more people showing up in their practices who are suffering from symptoms of orthorexia linked to years of chronic dieting - and it's not helping their health in any way.

Aaron and Glenys get to the topic you've all been waiting for: SEX. More specifically, sex and body image. In this episode, they speak to Dr. Linda Baggett, a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in counseling psychology and an expert in the intersections of gender, body image, sexuality, and trauma. They discuss all things sex and body image: the embarrassment many feel of being seen naked, the cult of secrecy around female genitals, the role of patriarchy in sexual relations, how sexual orientation intersects with body image, and so much more. Linda currently is part of a group practice called Thrive Psychology where she helps people learn to have healthy, pleasurable relationships with themselves, others, and their bodies, overcoming weight stigma, trauma, and repressive sexual and gender norms. She provides online therapy to residents of California.
