There are more political ideologies than drops of water in the ocean.  Most of them are relics of the past, such as feudalism.  You never hear anyone trying to bring that back.  One major standout is socialism, an ideology that didn't do so well (to put it lightly) during the early 20th century yet is seeing a revival today.  Why are we looking to the past instead of the future?  Why is it assumed that every dead ideology is dead for a reason except that one?  Come join the speculation.
