This story was awesome! We continue to see the love that blossomed between the protagonists in this book. And we have a plot twist! Her former love appears! The problem is he wants her too and we don't know what type of dragon he is. Overall, an excellent read.

A satisfying ending

The sixth and final volume in Tamara Rose Blodgett's and Marata Eros' supernatural romance/erotic thriller is a satisfying end to the series although, after the violence of the previous instalment, the finale almost feels like an epilogue. It's not, of course, because there's conflicts and issues yet to be resolved and the authors wind up those threads nicely.

Featuring what, I believe, is the longest sex scene in the series, the ménage à trois is an experience in itself, with the writing taking us into the thick of the action, so to speak. It's intimate and hot, but also made me smile.

The final showdown between the two factions was dramatic, but suffers one of the main faults of a short story - it's over too quickly with not enough sustained tension to make it truly exciting. To compensate however, the story has been building to this moment, amongst others, and the outcome really does hang in the balance.

After six episodes, I've grown to love Holly Elise as a reader. She's been consistently good in defining the characters and in playing out the explicit sex scenes in ways that are erotic without being a laughable cliche. It's a very delicate balance and she walks that tightrope comfortably.

Other than Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty trilogy, I've not delved into erotic fiction before, and this has been my first audio adventure into it. My copy of this volume was provided complementary through AudioBOOM but in retrospect, I would have been happy to purchase it. I hope a box set of all 6 volumes is released eventually as a single purchase. The Shifter series has been quirky, exotic, erotic, thrilling and funny. It's been a fun ride and I'm pleased that I've had the opportunity to listen to it.

"Monica Is Not In Her Comfort Zone"

In this sequel Book 2 of the Beastly Beauty Series, Monica is questioning her own values of acceptance and decides to stay with Hugo at the mansion. The British villagers plan a primitive witch hunt against Hugo. Yes, he had been cursed, but inside he's a good man. Will Monica be able to adapt to living his hermitage life style and will he tell her about his curse? Can she trust him? If she leaves there will be no more money sent to the states for the care of her father. Hugo loves her, but ... can he continue showing her his best side of warmth and affection? He has a lot on his plate now with the uprising of the villagers.

good read and really enjoyed the it. Would read more by this author is future. Plot was great and believed

Fun read

This is a Fun read albeit a little slow paced. Hugo and Martha continue to explore their relationship while also dealing with new problems. The book ends in a cliffhanger (I'm not a big fan) so be aware.

Trouble and introspection

In this second book Monica must come to grips with the answers she now has. She also has to come to terms with her inner turmoil and Hugos on and off personality. Now there is a problem with the villagers that must also be dealt with. As the story heats up, we are presented with some moral issues we all must face. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

Monica is still cool.

Monica is now living in the UK and she decided to give her upcoming nuptials a real chance.

But all is not well in this world. Her betrothed is feared. Hated. Envied and thus Monica becomes involved in the middle of an abduction.

Again the romance is sweet but how the townspeople and the police can be so "cool" about everything made little sense.

If you want a sweet fast shifter read then this is a book you might like.

"Oops, Monica Can't Sort Things Out"

As the village people seek revenge on Hugo, they kidnap Monica. She wakes to find she has not been tied up or locked in an empty dark room. She's in the living room of a small house sitting in a comfortable recliner. Monica has learned her father's condition has taken a turn for the worse. She has to return home to be at his side. The villagers mean her no harm but want to protect her from the Beast as they believe he killed his previous wife and unborn child. They tell Monica she looks so much like the deceased wife. This story does not possess the fire of the previous episodes. There is way too much filler descriptions rather than dialogue and action.

Getting wild, lots of questions.

Book three things are really heating up for Monica and Hugo. She is kidnapped by villagers and must find a way to escape. Her father is dying at home. Her best friend is worried. Hugo is worried and feels abandoned. What will they all do. Will Monica get home. Will Hugo follow. Will Dad get better. Will her friend relax. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my Monica!

This series is now starting to really take form.

Somethings are beyond literary license but the sweetness and the good old fashioned love story makes up,for this. But how, oh how do you move to the UK while your dad is dying?

I understand the necessity for the plot BUT!!!!!!

A romantic appetizer.

This was a feel good, if not downright sappy short story! I loved it! Sure, it wasn't logical but when are romances EVER logical?? (I took off one-star for the lack of logic but no more.)

After cleaning out her grandfather's apartment, Sarah is left with a box of HIS memories, along with some pictures he used to talk about with her. Going to sleep that night, she is awakened by a field soldier in WWII that she eventually places: her grandfather's US Army buddy, James 'Lightning'! He arrives during a storm and after he and Sarah fall in love, he stays.

How cool is that?

This is a short story so there's just enough revealed about the characters to make this story plausible but not enough to bog you down with too much (unnecessary) information. A good appetizer.

I love the story!

Time travel is an impossible concept anyway, so what does it matter how it happens in a story? In Fireworks, Denise Alicea doesnât even bother to explain how a handsome solider in the past suddenly shows up in her heroineâs house. As a reader who loves romance more than time travel, Iâm just as relieved to not see any incomprehensible time machine in the story. The story has lots of potentials, the story line is compelling, the writing is great, and characters are lovable. Further development of the story is still up to the readers to imagine but Iâm looking forward to a sequel.

Please Stay ALittle Longer!

I received this too short story in a book fair give-away. It was sweet and refreshing time travel story. My only complaint was that I wanted it to keep going. It could of made a beautiful love story! This is my first story by Denise Alicia but it won't be my last!

Fireworks

I loved this book wish it was longer. It's a story about a girl who just lost her grandfather. While looking at his pictures, she sees his best friend James who died while at war. While asleep the power goes out. When she hears a crash she goes to see whose there. James appears. Great short story.

I loved it! The handsome

I loved it! The handsome, thoughtful gentleman. The strong, beautiful woman. The sweet romance set in a bygone era but in the modern time. All the elements of one of my favorite types of stories. Ms. Alicea needs to bring these two back again!

A exciting read...

The Solitarian: Part 1 of The Amaranth Series by author Chalyn Amadore is a combination romance, suspense, science fiction and thriller all rolled into one. Seventeen year old McKenna Duvall was vacationing in the Palasca Mountains in France. While hiking alone one day she became lost; when it started raining she took refuge in a cave where she discovered a man with hair that was long and tangled. His clothing was old and dirty. He helped her find the trail that would lead her back to the cabin where she was staying along with her parents. Each day she brought him food and clothing. His name was Keyan McGrath. They quickly became friends and he shared his secrets with her. He was an Amaranthine. The Order of the Falcons had slaughtered his parents many years ago and they were searching for him.

The Solitarian captured my interest and held it to the last page. I stayed up most of the night turning pages eager to know what would happen next. Chalyn Amadore is a talented writer; her descriptions are vivid and I could see the scenes as they played out on the stage in my mindâs eye. Keyan and Kenna were my favorite characters. It was fun watching their love for each other develop. Dr. Jack Duvall was an odd character. His role took me by surprise; he was truly evil. This book was written for young adults however I would not recommend it for anyone under the age of 16. I have only one criticism and that is the proofreading. There are numerous mistakes throughout the book. I suggest the author hire a professional proofreader. I would like to give this book a 5 star rating but with so many errors it receives a 4.

the girl is useless in the woods until the guy returned and taught her. they are getting closer and then he gets sick and she nurses him to health. at the full moon, she finally keys into why he is so special. but you will have to figure out why. the girl and the guy live in happiness and she does not think of living with anyone but her man and they ive in the woods happily forever ;)
