A very ribald retelling

This is a delightful if not very strange little tale. The endless loops were ingenious and the solution to breaking them only needed a loving heart.

a quick, hot read

Talk about a quirky take on an age old fairy tale! This was a well written and put together tale. Tipton takes readers on a fast paced and comical journey through her inversion of Beauty and the Beast. I enjoyed the larger than life descriptions and how they brought the characters to life. Quinn was simply too good to be true. His interactions with the other characters really let us know whoâs who. The individuals that Tipton fills the story with were also a lot of fun. I will admit, there were a couple of scenes that I couldnât understand the purpose of, other than to increase the heat of the novel, but those scenes definitely were hot.

My final thoughts? As an erotic retelling of a well-known fairy tale, with a twist, it was a good story. I will warn you, however, that Tipton stays very close to the original fable, adding in sex to fix all problems. It was a quick, hot read that I quite enjoyed.

I absolutely ADORED this story.

Changing Her Tune will break your heart while waiting for Tess to learn to trust herself. Tess has had it rough at home and then with her ex. So when Austin Shaw the football star says she is his mate she has a hard time trusting in it. Austin can only do so much. He puts himself out there and Tess can either take a leap of faith or bury her head in the sand. When she needs a neutral 3rd party she calls ROAR.

Nice premise, poor execution

Sarah takes a tumble while hiking in the woods, finding herself pursued by wolves and then in the arms of a strange man who makes her tingle. Things heat up from there.

OK, so I like the premise of the story but the execution needed some help. First, this tale is marked BBW Big Beautiful Woman. Yet theres never any mention of Sarahs proportions at all. So, its just a label slapped on the cover.

Next, several descriptive phrases are repeated more than once. This is a short story and in order to not sound repetitive, its important to dig out that thesaurus and make it work for its existence. The repetition definitely dulled the sexytimes. On the other hand, at least we get to the sexytimes pretty quickly. Thats a bonus because thats why were all here, right?

Then there was this silly moment where Sarah realizes her mystery man isnt wearing any underwear and it makes her blush in embarrassment. The problem is, she already has his personal bits in her mouth. Yep. I mean how embarrassing can the lack of underclothes be in that moment? But I will give it a point because it made me laugh.

Lastly, theres more than one reference to a mans personal equipment being limp. In context, after the act, its totally logical. However, its not particularly sexy. So over all, this story didnt do anything for me. This tale was supposed to all sexy bits; instead it was just all kinds of awkward.

The Narration: Trevor Clingers technical production was well done. The volume is a steady level and theres no repeated sentences or such. However, he does have a ton of odd pauses, kind of like Shatner when hes poking fun at himself and pausing between every 2 or 3 words. Also, Clinger didnt really have different voices for the characters and he doesnt have a particularly sexy voice.

Horrible ...

This was the WORST book I've ever purchased from Audible.com... Horrible story and even worse narration. If it was possible to give zero stars or even negative zero I would have. Life is to short don't waste your time listening to this.....Audible, Im really disappointed that you would even consider selling something of such poor quality. I assumed you had some kind of standards as to what you sold on your site.

A GREAT NEW STORY, A BLEND OF HISTORY AND PARANORMAL....

I really enjoyed this book but I wish it continued or that I knew there was another book to continue their story, I so wish I knew what was going to happen next. Loved the way it starts with the Viking raid on a village, an one man,even though he spoke a different language asking a woman to go with him, taking time to make her understand, giving her a choice. He learned to speak her language so he could talk to her on the way home, protecting her sending her to his home, spending months letting her get to know him and his ways, But know one will tell her where he goes at night and why ? So finally one dark night she followed him, to find a secret she never dreamed of. Can he make her understand? Can she except what he is? Can the love she already feels help her to except his love over her fear? A wonderful story that I hope continues and that I get the chance to read them.

A four star shifter romance.

Bearly a Viking (Paranormal Werebear Shifter Romances) by Lacey Edward is a tale of a shape shifting Viking, Asbjorn. His band captured Edith from her village where they took all valuables & killed her husband, Alfred.

It was necessary for me to use google translate for many of the expressions sprinkled throughout the story. It seemed to switch between Swedish & Norwegian. Edith spoke German at one point instead of English. Because of this I gave it four stars.

Edith is tied to a mast on the ship returning to the Viking's homeland. Asbjorn is weary because of his transformation into a bear & back & his stomach hurt. They arrived & he kept her hidden from the Earl. She began to learn the language & help with his sister's children.

There is an erotic scene towards the end of the book but it advanced the plot to the conclusion.

Keeps you wanting to know more

I wanted to read this book because I love stories about psychics and the story was about Raven LeClaire who was a Tarot reader and psychic. She is co-owner of an occult shop and besides selling occult items she also reads Tarot cards for customers. The story starts really starts when one of her customers goes missing and a detective shows up to talk to her--Viktor Thorssen. Instantly they both feel something is familiar to them about the other, but only Viktor knows what the connection is. Viktor has a dark secret and because of that secret, he can't tell Raven how they know each other. This story is full of surprises and keeps you wanting to know more and more--so you have to keep reading. I won't tell you the story or you would not need to read the book if you knew all. Let's put it this way, the book was so good that toward the end I knew I wanted to read the rest of the series--so I as soon as I finished the story, I immediately bought the whole book collection of the last 4 books. Best money I ever invested in a series.

Tried saving money getting cheap book. Story was ok, bit ended and I thought the rest of the book deleted or something. Weird ending to g Ave NO ending.

I loved it!

I so enjoyed this book for lots of reasons. I loved the setting and the story draws you in right from the first. It is great that it is well written and well paced and everything is unveiled at exactly the right time. The characters are likeable, have depth and mystery, and are fully fleshed and believable. I am hooked on this series!

Great book if you like this style of Paranormal romance. It sets a great plot and you will wonder at the end what happened to one of the main characters. Lacey keeps it sexy and just enough for you to not want to put it down until you are done. I am not a big thick novel fan this one was just right and set the mood for the evening.
