Really bad production quality

I am clearly not on the same page as other reviewers of this book. It was all over the place. There are just too many characters to follow and not enough build to make you care about them. I usually enjoy a mixed narrative, but the multiple POV did not flow smoothly.

I really loved the concept, it just did not come through in my opinion. From the start the story drags, it takes a long time to get to the major plot points. By then I just could not care about the characters. Monique was not my kind of gal, while she was sassy, she tried to rest too much on her fairy sex power. Kieran, might care about his sister, but he seems to be more about his own interests. Daniel appears to be a nice guy, but he just did not excite me.

Unfortunately, I listened to the audiobook narrated by Kellie Kamryn, she just did not do it for me this book. She has a nice pace and decent voices. The major issue is the quality of the recording. There is a background noise that makes it sound like she is miles away for me the microphone. It makes it very difficult to enjoy this book.

The combination of poor production quality and slow story, made this a less than stellar read. I was so disappointed because the blurb and cover held such promise. Maybe this would have been a different review if I had read it instead of listening.

Interesting but weird.

I thought this was a little on the weird side, I didn't really understand the shadows and how they were made nor why they found a human form at night but were a shadow of a bus or phone booth or whatever in the day. It was an interesting story even thought I thought it was a little out of touch lol. I got this in a box set with a few of the others other books. The audio was great by the narrator I truly enjoyed her voice and her narration.

I am going to listen to the rest of this series maybe it will all come together for me.

As much as I love reading urban fantasy and paranormal romance

Interesting storyline about shadows. As much as I love reading urban fantasy and paranormal romance, I have never read a story like this about shadows of humans (and not at all like ghosts). It's a quick, short, easy read however the ending seemed rushed and the cliffhanger drove me crazy. I realize that the author needs to do that in order to get a reader to buy the sequel but I think the author could have at least finished Erebus and Aurora's conversation.

Will definitely be getting part 2 to find out how their story ends.

Peculiar, driven, witty, interesting, hooked,perfect; in short, it was a great read and the author always surprise me with unique stories that can really capture any person's imagination. The story lines, the plot, it kept me awake all throughout the night with my reader. Cant wait for the next part.

This is a short intro to the series. I am looking forward to reading the rest .I would recommend this book to others. W.J. May is a good author. Her books quickly capture your attention.

Outstanding edge of your seat listening!

Mary Buckham is a master story teller and INVISIBLE POWER did not disappoint! I was literally on the edge of my seat during the whole listening experience. Bravo to Susan Eichhorn Young for bringing the characters to life. Ready to start the next book on the series!!

Susan's voice works the story

What did you like best about this story?

It continues Alex's struggle to find her missing brother and her desire for Bran.

What does Susan Eichhorn Young bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Susan has the voice that has me picturing Alex and its not that whining voice that some have. The smooth voice has you mesmerized and seeing the story just a bit differently then reading alone. I have read the read the books already but listening to it made me see it a bit differently.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Can't stop a Noziak!

I bought the e-book too. I started listening with a ton of skepticism. I enjoyed book one in this series so much I didn't see this book being better, Man was I wrong! This book gave the characters a vibrancy few books do today!

The finding of her brother by blood magic. She didn't want to use blood magic!

Bran, but I like alpha males.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Briton and the Dane: Timeline to be better than the print version?

Not better but different. Both offer great intriguing suspenseful fun.As much as I loved reading this story the audio version was a total escape. I could visualize every scene because of the great writing and wonderful narration.

What other book might you compare The Briton and the Dane: Timeline to and why?

I don't think it compares to any other story. This is an original and much better than some blockbuster films.

Have you listened to any of Michele Lukovichs other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first performance by Michele Lukovich that I have listened to. I think she enhanced this already amazing story. She has a soothing and inviting voice.

I did listen to this book in one sitting. I wasn't planning on it but time passed and before I knew it the story was over.

I love Mary Ann Bernals powerful stories and Michele Lukovich did a wonderful narration. Very easy to listen to and believable. This audio book is a great escape. Perfect story where you can just close your eyes and you are there. Would highly recommend.

Timeline is masterfully written, as I could visualize all the action going on around me and packed with ongoing suspense and captivating scenes that make it hard to put this book down. I was caught up in the emotional tale that was filled with romance, deception and intriguing encounters. This series is so delightfully entertaining that is makes you feel like you are a fly on the wall watching things that are not made for your eyes.

WOW!!!!!

I was able to get an advanced copy of this book, and I just read the whole thing on a plane ride home from vacation. It was QUITE the emotional plane ride, thanks to this awesome book.

As with the others in the series, it focuses on a group of vampires and humans in Las Vegas, with sex, excitement, and rock n roll. The writing is just phenomenal, you feel like you are in the story.. I felt like I was in Vegas, being threatened by a VERY angry/sexy vampire, extremely uncomfortable when boundaries were pushed, etc, etc, etc

I am not a vampire person and I am not a romance novel person, but it doesn't matter when you are reading this book. I was sucked into Callie's life and with her I smiled, was anxious, and even got a bit teary!

Do yourself a favor and BUY THIS BOOK. Better yet, buy all 3 if you haven't, and then schedule a few days to do nothing but get sucked into the excitement.
