Prince of Ravescar is another wonderful story. Prince,Sofie,Roxanne and Devin. Devin the Vampires Corrine Sherbrookenamed him. Fun, fun, and lies.
Loved the Characters! Two Heroes!
I have read all except 2 Of Catherine Coulter's books! She has the great ability to write in many different styles! Just go to her book list page & look at all the different catagories of her books she has written over the years!! From Viking Era to Regency to the FBI Series!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Catherine takes a confirmed bachelor, Julian Monroe who is the "Prince" of Ravenscar , throws in a determined mother who thinks he should marry again & has even picked out a bride for him. She then adds mysterious death of his wife, Lilly which occured three years before. His former brother-in-law suspects Julian murdered Lilly and only with the help of his half-nephew, Devlin - the rumored vampire will he uncover the truth. Instead of having helpless females, she adds Sophie Wilkie and her aunt Roxanne Radcliff, who defy the damsel in distress mode, each getting themselves out of bad situations using cunning and brains!
One reviewer claims she couldn't figure out why the men choose the women they did. If she really read the whole book, it tells you in plain English!
The story has a lot of twist & turns and has a surprise ending
Disapointed
I am a huge fan of Catherine Coulters, however this book was a disapointment. Too many complicated relatives, I found myself having to remember who was related to whom and how. I did not feel the usual attraction to her characters. The men lacked the typical male strength. I found toward the end, I no longer cared about the answer to the mystery message from the dead father, grandfather, step-brother. I typically do not do this, but I was skipping over many pages to get to the end. I was disapointed.
Excellent book, enjoyed the characters and the plot.
Read the Sherbrooke series years ago and missed this one. Excellent read and recommend this book to all Sherbrooke fans.
just out of place in a wonderful series
I absolutley love the Bride Series and especially Catherine Coultuer's
writing, this Prince of Ravenscar was so out of place.
