We read this before bed , it was a cute little story. I'm glad the egg found a home. Thanks to Terry being so helpful.

Very cute

My son is still young (under a year) but he was pretty attentive when I read him the book on my kindle. I think this would be a great book for older children learning about animals, as it goes through a few varieties of animals and how they protect their eggs/babies. Very cute.

So cute!

I really enjoyed reading this adorable story to my son who is a toddler. Because it was on kindle there were some pages without pictures which some what lost his attention but that is not the authors fault, I think it would be better to have the physical copy which I am going to get because its such a sweet story about a little freckled boy. I think the best age group for this would probably be 5 and under but that is just my opinion. All in all it was a very great very sweet story. I highly recommend it for your little ones. You should check it out like I did and then if you like it order the actual hard cover or paper back.

Originally I read it to my 11 month old grandson but after a couple of pages he was done. Then I read it to my two year neighbor and he loved it. Now he wants to read it every day. His mom comes and gets it to read it to him every night until she can buy the book. I received this book in order to review it.

This is a pretty annoying audio book for parents. Kids may enjoy it (mine don't) but multiple listens and you'll want to pull your hair out.

Beautiful Adventure

What a cliffhanger!! I can't wait to read the final book!

I generally go for cute lighthearted middle-grade reads. This one can be cute at times but I would describe it as dark, atmospheric and absolutely addicting.

I first picked up this series in the audiobook version. Fiona Hardingham is one of my top three favorite narrators hence I couldn't resist. I listened to the first book and started off listening to this book, but stopped a few chapters in as I really wanted to savor it first hand. I'm really glad I did.

There's one theme that I both love and kind of, if ever so slightly, resent. That is the fact that Harmless is an absentee father--BUT he is a warrior. He is loyal, hard working, determined, and dependable when needed. I see him as taking on the role of a true soldier; one who's calling is to defend country first and then family. Which makes sense as he is the high chieftain of The Luck Uglies. I resent this role as it's hard to read about a family going without a father figure, but the truth of the matter is, it happens. It is part of our society, and it is often presented through a dark lens. It isn't the ideal situation for a family, but it accentuates the importance of solidarity, hope and the role of a strong maternal figure--which Abby O'Chanter so gracefully embodies.

Paul Durham has done such a wonderful job with this series. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a middle-grade adventure with a bit of a bite and a lot of heart.

Lovely art work and fun repetition

While not a big fan of the Old McDonald song, I grew to like it via Pete's interpretation and colorful art work. I also get to like the many repetition and different animal sounds the book suggests, with its corky drawing and easy to read layout. Thanks Pete for re-introducing me to this tiring old song.

Love it!

My siblings and I used to read this book when we were little and it made us want a dinosaur friend (like Clifford the Big Red Dog makes you want a giant dog!). My sister and I had looked quite a few places for it and finally found it here. So excited! I'm ready to share it with the next generation of little ones âï

Great book for kids of all ages

This was one of my favorite books from childhood and now it's one of my 2 yo daughter's favorites too. It is also a great first book to read for elementary school children. (It was one of the first things my siblings and I ever read aloud.) Cute story and I highly recommend it.

Fun old-fashioned story

Fun little book. It reads just as if you're telling a bedtime story. It was one of my son's favorites when he was a preschooler, so I picked up an extra copy to give away. This is an old story, and I think it's aged just fine. (No parts that seem insensitive now, which is an issue I've had with some other older stories.) I'm glad this has been reprinted.

Nostalgic little read!

I absolutely loved this book as a child. One day it popped into my memory so I set out to try to find it for my little boy. None of the online bookstores had it (B&N, BAM), but Amazon did! I was only able to get it in paperback, but I am still on the hunt for it in hardback. It is a story about a boy named Danny who goes to the museum. He sees the dinosaurs and wishes they were alive to play with. And one is! They spend the day together doing many different things, and then the dinosaur goes back home to the museum that night. It is a simple story with very simple illustrations, but still fun. So glad I found this again!

Good Book, Good Condition - Bummer of a Label!?!

Book was in good condition, BUT, they put a big sticky scan label on it! We were giving it as a gift and once we removed it...the gift tissue paper stuck to it! Bummer!

Pete the Cat going downhill

We love Pete the Cat but it hasn't been the same without Eric Litwin. The writing in this particular book seemed especially bad. Too many different things going on and Pete saves the day by starting to play the guitar???

Good, but different than the others

Dinosaurs and Pete the Cat sound like a perfect mash-up for my toddlers (3 & 4), but this book deviates from the normal Pete the Cat formula. In that it doesn't have a sentence or two per page, but multiple sentences, and doesn't carry the repetitiveness that most Pete the Cat books exhibit (which I've found is wonderful for beginning readers).

However, the drawings and stickers were a huge hit, just a lot harder to keep the toddler attention span focused for reading these books.

All-in-all still good, just not great.

Only buy if they are dino lovers

The other reviews were right its not catchy like most pete the Cat but my son is obsessed with both so he still loved it. Only buy for dino lovers

Not really Pete the Cat

You can't change authors?! Who does that? Write a new series with a new title; this book is nothing like Pete the Cat. In fact, boring, the text is difficult to read for 1st graders (not in print but a semi script).

Great story!

Pete the Cat stores are always awesome. This one is no exception. My son just loves it!

I am an eight year old girl and I really like this. My favorite guy is Mr. Bump. My brother likes Mr. Tickle. We really like Mr. Dale's voice. My brother and I like to play like we are the characters. Mr. Noisy is really funny! I think this audiobook is really good!
