I absolutely adored this gorgeous book. It's sophisticated, heartwarming, and it makes you think about life in an entirely different way.
    Lovely love letters
I stayed up reading until my eyes burned. I didn't want it to end, I wanted to read about love and letters and robots forever.
A Beautifully Written Novel of Being "Different" and of Finding Yourself Worthy of Being Loved ...
In Laura Creedle's âThe Love Letters of Abelard and Lilyâ, Lily Michaels-Ryanâs ADHD and dyslexia combine to make school and personal relationships with her peers difficult. Her younger sister Iris is academically gifted and loves to study, giving Lily even more reason to question her worth and her future. Her parents are divorced; Lily believes her father lives in Portland on a farm.
When Lily investigates noises coming from a panel dividing two classrooms and accidentally breaks the door mechanism, her story takes some unexpected turns. Along with Peter Abelard who was on the other side, Lily receives in-school suspension. Lily has known Abelard since kindergarten and once clobbered him with her lunchbox, leaving a small scar on his cheek. Abelard, a genius, is on the autism spectrum.
A shared interest in âHeloise and Abelardâ and Abelardâs ability to quote from that work initiate the nightly texting communication between Lily and Abelard. As the two begin to reconnect, they find they are able to complement each otherâs strengths and to compensate for each otherâs weaknesses. Some twists and the charactersâ challenges help prevent the novel from becoming clichéd or stereotyped as a teen romance.
The first person narrative adds a dimension and personal dynamic to Lilyâs story that is often missing from novels for the target reader group, age 12-years and older. Her family life and the absence of her beloved father create greater issues for Lily than might have been evident. Abelardâs Aspbergerâs Syndrome and his coping mechanisms, along with Lilyâs understanding and acceptance provide the story with additional positive aspects from which readers may learn.
Language and situations are appropriate for most readers. Physical intimacy consists of several light kisses and of one instance in which Abelard touches the skin under Lilyâs shirt at the waist. Language is appropriate for the age of the characters; there is some mild profanity, but no use of the âf-wordâ or vituperative speech.
âThe Love Letters of Abelard and Lilyâ is a beautifully written novel of self-discovery and of Lilyâs recognition that her differences make her special and worthy of love. Laura Creedleâs debut novel is a heart-warming, poignant story, narrated by Lily that will resonate with anyone who is or was âdifferentâ.

    5 FOREVER TUTTLE STARS!!
Forever by Monica Murphy.......5 FOREVER TUTTLE STARS!! I have been waiting for this book and it was exactly what I expected...PERFECTION! I love Jordan Tuttle in this series, he is a hot high school football player, rich, cocky and all the girls want him, but he only has eyes for Amanda. This book is Tuttle and Amanda's story and it is beautiful. The story is filled with drama, football game, teenage problems, parties, family issues and young love. Monica Murphy is one of my favorite authors, she is such a fantastic storyteller. I highly recommend this book and series, you will love it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
    Perfection!
Perfection! Monica Murphy perfectly captures contemporary YA romance with the push and pull, the yearning and angst and the all consuming rush of first love in this series. This is the final book of this series and I am finding it very difficult to say goodbye, to Sexy, Cool, Untouchable, Unfeeling, Rich, Jock, Jordan Tuttle and Sweet, Smart, Caring, Amanda Winters. Truthfully I never wanted this story to end.
This series had me smiling, laughing, melting and swooning as well as fuming and crying at the antics of young love. But I never stopped turning the pages of each book in this series and read each one in one sitting. So mesmerized with the story, main characters, and secondary characters and their journey. Loving the new friendships, first romances and serious issues as well as some family dynamics that made this Series Outstanding! Loved it! Highly Recommended!
I voluntarily requested an ARC from the author and publisher and readily wrote a honest review!
    Sweet Love
This was a sweet read. Amanda Winters' heart was broken by Jordan Tuttle in the last book - More Than Friends.
Amanda loves Jordan but he keeps hurting her over and over again. He won't tell her his secrets or share his feelings with her. She can't have a relationship like that. She's working her part-time job, helping the football team with being a water girl, and school. She's just trying to move on but it's hard. Especially when he says he wants another chance and she's all that matters to him.
Jordan loves Amanda but he can't stop thinking she deserves better than him. His parents don't love or care about him. They are all about controlling him and expecting him to do what they want. He loves Amanda and she's all he wants.

Great story about a serious topic
I liked that the story dealt with a very real subject that affects a lot of people. Grace was strong but not inhuman and I liked that she tried to teach her classmates about consent and women's rights. The narration was ok, the male narrator didn't really sound like a teen so the words didn't match the voice. But overall a good story, even paced.

"Normal" is something I could only dream of being called. "Mental" or "screwed up" is what I'm labeled. But actually feeling other people's pain does that to a girl. I'm not an empath. I'm crazy! That is, until I meet one guy who makes it all go away.
The problem is, he's even crazier than me. At least I thought that in the beginning, before the coincidences became undeniable. But, if what he was saying were true, he would not only become my savior, he would also open my eyes to a world filled with angels, demons, witches, and an ancient curse that I'm caught smack bang in the middle of.
Either way, I already knew he'd be the death of me.

I can't imagine how Lu feels and endures all those negative emotions which leads her to committing suicide all the time - so sad!

    Publisher's Summary:
Inspired by the real psychology study popularized by the New York Times and its "Modern Love" column, this contemporary YA is perfect for fans of Eleanor and Park.
Two random strangers. Two secrets. Thirty-six questions to make them fall in love.
Hildy and Paul both have their own reasons for joining the university psychology study that asks the simple question: Can love be engineered?
The study consists of 36 questions, ranging from "what is your most terrible memory?" to "when did you last sing to yourself?" By the time Hildy and Paul have made it to the end of the questionnaire, they've laughed and cried and lied and thrown things and run away and come back and driven each other almost crazy. They've also each discovered the painful secret the other was trying so hard to hide. But have they fallen in love?
Told in the language of modern romance - texting, Q&A, IM - this clever high-concept YA is full of humor and heart. As soon as you've finished listening, you'll be searching for your own stranger to ask the 36 questions. Maybe you'll even fall in love.
    Critic Reviews:
"I'm completely obsessed with this book. Filled with some of the wittiest, most authentic dialogue between two strangers I've ever read, Grant's 36 Questions That Changed My Mind About You is one part true romance, one part grit and compassion, and one part sass. If there is a more modern, more relevant YA story than this one out there, I've yet to see it!" (Jill MacKenzie, author of Spin the Sky)
"Full of heart, humor, and the occasional flying fish, 36 Questions That Changed My Mind About You is an absolute delight. I dare you not to fall in love with this book!" (Rachel Bateman, author of Someone Else's Summer)

    Predictable, but cute!
I thought this book was so cute! I'm very familiar with the study the book was based on, so I was really excited to pick it up and see how it was played out in book format. I read the book in one sitting, and really enjoyed it! It's a YA romance about two teens completing 36 questions with each other with the intention being a psychologist will study the results and see if they feel connected or attracted to each other after answering them all. What I will say is that the book is very predictable. It's a typical girl-meets-boy story with lots and lots of misunderstandings until they eventually start to understand each other, etc etc etc. Despite the predictable plot (which is pretty much a given in this type of book) I found the story and characters enjoyable. There were some drawings throughout the book, which I really liked and thought was a nice touch!
The one qualm I had was that there was a ton of build up to some bad event that happened in Hildy's life, and when it finally came to light at the end of the book, it seemed like there was going to be more resolution with that particular storyline, but the book ended and I felt like it was rather abrupt and that there could have been some more closure in that regard.
Overall, if you're looking for a book that's light and cute and has a happy ending, this is the book for you!
It's a great back and forth of dialogue between the two characters
It took some time getting into the rhythm of this book.

    WOW!!!!
I had read the 1st book in 3 days, and I loved it!!!!! I was so worried that this book wasn't going to be as good as the first, but I was wrong completely!!! This book might have been better!!! When I read the back of it, I was surprised and kind of sad that it wasn't from Fo' s point of view, but I loved Jack! This book was amazing, and if you have any thoughts about not reading the book because you are afraid that it won't be as good as the other one, or you think that it won't be as good because it's not from Fo' s point of view, read it anyway!!!! You will find that you were completely wrong!!!! But if you do decide to read this book, read the first one first! You would probably still be able to understand the book and the plot, but if you read the first one, the entire book will be much better and more shocking and emotional. THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING AND I LOVED IT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Cured
I absolutely loved Stung! I read it in a few short days, and was so excited to dive into Cured. This one totally changes the point of view, which I wasn't too sure about at first, but once I started reading, I got into it immediately and couldn't put it down. This one focuses on Jack, who we met briefly in Stung. So much has happened since they found a cure, but Jack wants to bring "his" brother home, but needs Fiona, her twin brother Jonah, and Bowen to do so. We meet new characters in this one as well, and it was hard for me to know who to trust! This is a fabulous story, loved it and highly recommend!!
    INCREDIBLE
I read the first book and I was waiting for my moment to read this. This book is incredibly heartbreaking, makes you smile, makes you feel the love and feelings you never thought you'd feel for a book. If you want to read an incredible book this is your choice
    Awesome ending
Great book once again. This book is told by Jacqui rather than Fiona which at first I didn't like, but later thought it was a nice switch. It does a great job wrapping up the problem "Stung" had introduced and explains a few things that need to be figured out. This book touches on futuristic problems of pollination and how using pesticides could pose on our crops. It was a great, fast read.
    Good read
Action, adventure and tale of young love! This series is definitely aimed for young adults but a good read and makes you feel good about people.

Which made me sooo very sad as I looked forward to this one ever since I finished the Altered series. And not to mention this was the most expensive ebook Iâve purchased in the last year. Bummer.

    Love the story...
But not so much the narrator.
I've read this story myself at least 4 times, I love it that much. I purchased the ebook before it was split into two separate books. Maybe because that's the way I've read it, but I like it better as one. This one just felt unfinished and it was a very awkward place to end it.
I love Charlie and Diego and I'm eager to read about their further relationship development.
I also love the storyline and various characters.
I'm not sure I'll continue listening to the future audiobooks in this series. Although Zachary Antonioli isn't bad, he's not great either. I think it's more a tribute to Jeff's writing that we can tell which character is speaking, rather than the narration. Zachary managed to get some inflection in his voice at some places in the book, but he really didn't distinguish voices much at all. I'm sure it's difficult to do that, but it makes the book sound so much more alive to give each character a distinct voice.
    Bad editing mars this half-of-a-story.
Barely into the book, I was so distracted by the narrator's obvious cut-and-paste performance I almost quit listening. It felt like they went though and sliced out any and all silences in the performance, and simply cut and paste any corrections in without caring about audio levels or mic quality or tone-of-voice differences. And then there were several obvious places where they forgot to cut out the narrator's obvious corrections and restarts of sentences. It's like they completely rushed the editing of this audio book and it suffers for it.
Fortunately, the reading does get better about 10-15 chapters in, presumably because the editor got bored with making the book move at light speed for whatever reason, and finally let the narrator breathe a little more. I just wish they hadn't screwed up the beginning several chapters so much. The narrator himself is decent, though because of the weird cut-and-paste editing, he has obvious changes in tone mid-sentence a lot.
The book itself is good, once you get through the open few chapters of dancing around the subject of witchcraft given away on the front cover. It has an intriguing premise and a believable cast of characters.

When the Viators learn of a plan to steal a dangerous device from the inventor Nikola Tesla, only a race into the past can save the natural timeline from utter destruction. Navigating the glitterati of the Gilded Age in 1895 New York City, Hope and her crew will discover that high society can be as deadly as it is beautiful.
In this sequel to the dazzling time-travel romance Into the Dim, sacrifice takes on a whole new meaning as Hope and Bran struggle to determine where - or when - they truly belong.
    Cover design by Cara Llewellyn.
