    Publisher's Summary:
"Your true name is Red Rex. The baddest of badasses, an alpha warrior beyond compare..." Or, at least, that's what he's been told.
Eighteen-year-old Gaige Dupond has his life all mapped out. Lose his virginity to Emily. Get married. Become a pro soccer player and travel the world.
His father, a pure-bred Deltarc from another planet, whose race is growing extinct on planet Earth, has other plans - either confirm that he truly takes after his warrior father, and not his dearly departed empath mother, or snuff out his existence.
All plans go awry, however, when the dangerous red darkness in Gaige is awakened like a beam of hell flickering from his right eye, in a brutal ceremony. Pursued by a vicious Deltarc bounty hunter, Deltarc tracking hounds and his father's wicked minions, he loses his home, his life, all that he holds dear in pursuit of the truth.
In his quest to find his mother, victim to a corrupt cryopreservation project in outer space, and right the wrongs inflicted on him, he finds something far darker - his own sinister motivations and the need to feed on something other than human food. His only companion, a lab rat refugee named Sojourn, Gaige knows he'll never be loved - not in the way he'd always envisioned. Will he find the revenge he's seeking, or will he become an evil replica of his father? That's the last thing he'd ever wish on himself, but it may be his only option for survival.

Loved reading this book but hearing it! WOW!
Would you listen to Red Rex: Blood Echoes again? Why?
Yes, the story is intriguing but when you add hearing the characters tell it. Amazing

I am not good at comparing books but this is a must listen to!
What about S. Johnsons performance did you like?
I liked the variety in character voices. S. Johnson really brought them to life for me.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
At times I cringed, at times i smiled and laughed.
    Kudos Calinda
Would you consider the audio edition of Red Rex: Blood Echoes to be better than the print version?
    Any additional comments?
Calinda B has crafted a very intricate, well described story. I had no problem visualizing the worlds she created.
Gaige is a normal boy attending high school, playing soccer and in love with his girlfriend Emily. He suddenly faces a very violent coming of age at the hands of his father. While he searches for his mother with the help of his teacher, an older woman and an escaped lab rat, he learns to use his new powers. As he finally accepts himself for who he is now, all of his other problems work themselves out.
I absolutely loved this story. Kudos Calinda.
    Couldn't do it
Would you try another book from Calinda B. and/or S. Johnson?

You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    This Story Delivers

    Publisher's Summary:
Battle Beyond Earth: Retaliation. The third instalment in an epic new series that tells of humanity's desperate struggle to survive in an uncertain and war-torn future.
War is almost upon the Alliance of four races. The window to prepare themselves for the invasion of the terrifying Morohta armies grows narrower each day. Colonel Mitch Taylor remains in recovery from the horrendous wounds he suffered at the hands of a Morohta prince. Lieutenant Jones leads sweeps throughout Alliance territory, watching and waiting. All fear the arrival of Queen Bolormaa and her sadistic sons, together with the vast armies they command.
A distress beacon leads Jones to the wreckage of a long lost ship, but what begins as mere curiosity turns into a terrifying fight for survival. A savage horde of primitive creatures, sent ahead of the main enemy force, lie in ambush. Cast out into space in a seemingly random pattern to attack any and all targets they can find. Taylor awakens to find that he is facing not only the enemy, but also pro-Bolormaa sympathisers back home. They must put an end to these new threats if the Alliance is to have any chance of standing against the Morohtan armies. Taylor has no choice but to return to a battleground he is all too familiar with - Earth.

    A new game
Each time I think there is no more possible scenarios to read about the author just keeps on shocking me. The impossible keeps me begging for more. The writing skills are sensational, and so transcriptional I'm in awe just keep on writing.
Decent sci-fi in a military vein but in the future
While the writing has a few grammatical mistakes and the writing can be a bit tedious, the story is fantastical and rapid pace. I enjoyed reading the entire series to this point and look forward to the follow on books.
    Non stop Action!!
Wow, this just gets better with ever installment . A lot of current parallels to current events at times makes this very hard to put down . I can't wait until the next fight. Colonel Taylor " give 'em hell!!"
    Getting Closer
Keep on keeping on. Enjoying the series from N Thomas. Been building up to the final showdown, looking forward to it.
    Needs to be longer
Story advances way too quickly. For my liking, needs to add more depth instead of jumping between plot points. Other than that, of course it was a good read.

    Publisher's Summary:
In the future, robots are part of our daily lives. They serve and protect us, they watch our families and keep them safe, they treat us when we're hurt, and they take our orders when we're hungry. There is, though, one untapped market....
Meet Sally. A fully-functioning-female-human-imitation-android, created as a companion for the lonely men of the world, the first of its kind. But, there are problems for her creator.
Robotics engineer Dr. Harold Okamura is finally given an opportunity by Mr. Jerrald Axell, the CEO of a company with dubious intentions, to realize a lifelong ambition: to create a robot that is indistinguishable from a human being. The problem is doing so breaks the first law of modern robotics, an offense punishable by imprisonment. Good thing for Harold, then, Mr. Axell is powerful enough to skirt such laws. But that's not the only problem on the horizon. In fact, it's the least of Dr. Okamura's troubles.
Before Sally can be brought to market, she has to go through a trial period. Dr. Okamura and his faithful android servant, Cran, monitor Sally as she is tested by three clients - - all men of very questionable motives.
From the author of The Death of Death comes a more mature, technological tale.
Autonomously Yours is a story of relationships, emotions and tragedy, as told, literally, through the eyes of the world's first Compandroid.

Can this be in our future?
Set in the future, where robots/androids are a part of everyday life, Dr. Harold Okamura has created a female android companion for lonely man. With skin that feels real, and a body that changes depending on the desire of the owner she is the most human looking android invented. But, she is highly illegal and can be punished with imprisonmentâ
Dr. Okamura wasnât acting alone, he built the compandroid for Jerrald Axell, a man with little to no morals. Mr. Axell has set up three clients willing to test out âSally.â Each client has questionable motives and morals.
This book is not my cup of tea, there is some violence, but the writing is good and the subject is an interesting one to ponder. Especially as we are probably getting close to this becoming a reality.
Mr. Parker, this story has definitely made me think and for that I thank yo
    I Shouldn't Have Read It
If this book was a movie, it would be rated at least R, for sexuality, language, and graphic violence. All of that was totally gratuitous. The author had a genuinely good idea for a story, but he could have pulled it off without the crude details and foul language. I really shouldn't have kept reading once I realized what this was, but some of the characters were truly likeable, and I wanted to see what would happen to them. (Unfortunately, the ending wasn't really an ending and didn't satisfy in the least.) If you are at all sensitive to graphic sex, gore, violence, or profanity, don't read this. You'll regret it like I do. I'm only giving it two stars because the characters were all unique and well developed.
Another great work by K.N. Parker!
Another great work by K.N. Parker! The story focuses on a engineer obsessed with the well being of his creation, an android designed for companionship but as the story develops, we are introduced to a myriad of inner darkness.

    Tech can ruin your day
Tech can ruin your day or I can destroy your world. Here is the story where man recognizes the danger and tries to fix it. But of course evil men always want their way even if it means death of a world. There is a storm on the horizon.
    Don't wast your time
Very poorly researched in Military protocols and Procedures. A cliche rogue General who is a mass murder and impending environmental disaster.
Totally ignores the realities of Military Command.
Storm on the Horizon: The Zone
This is an average sci-fi story. This is not very fast moving, and it seems to take for granted that you know what`s going on, when you are lost.
    Good book
An interesting book that you won't want to put down. A unique approach that twists into an unexpected surprise ending.
A Novel of the Present and the Future
PAW has written a war time novel of unexplained events, telepathy, and transfer of person across parallel universes. The future interferes with the PST to avoid a complete failure of society as we know it. The military personnel move from universe to universe by man made worm holes. The military thinks they are fighting aliens when they are fighting humans from the future. This is an excellent read for the genre..... ER

Thieves - Review, by Anike Kirsten
If you could sum up Thieves in three words, what would they be?
Curious, entertaining, and mysterious; Thieves had me guessing all-throughout.
What did you like best about this story?
I particularly enjoy the "crusader" and his unlikely accomplice - how the two contrast each other. I'm left wondering how they ever got together, who came first? I could feel like I was right there, watching the entire story pan out; my alliances to each character shifted as Mariah brought their personalities to play.
Mariah voices her story with excellence and professional quality, bringing her characters to life in a lovely cyberpunk short that has me questioning the future.

    Publisher: Swordworks Books
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 3 votes
    Genres: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Sci-Fi: Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
Invasion is the first installment in the epic new Time War series that throws futuristic supersoldiers into an alternate history where they must fight the ultimate enemy in a world that is entirely alien to them.
The year is 2074. War has raged for 12 years, and biological weapons have decimated much of the world's population. Many have suffered degrees of mutation. Faced with dwindling human resources, both sides turn to genetic experiments to create enhanced supersoldiers, in a desperate attempt to survive and win the war. The Allies of the free world call these men Augmented and Psychologically Enhanced Servicemen. Also known as A.P.E.S.
The war is coming to a close, and one squad of A.P.E.S, led by the fearless Sergeant Wyatt Corwin, has a chance to kill the enemy leader, Maximilian Villiers, and end the war in one decisive action. But in their final hour of victory, Villiers cheats death by escaping through time in a machine he has kept secret from the world. Corwin and his comrades have no choice but to pursue Villiers through time. But they find themselves in the most unlikely of places; the height of World War II. Villiers has arrived ahead of them, and allied himself with the Third Reich. The Nazis' obsession with super weapons is fueled by the deluded genius of Villiers. Already they have begun to turn the tide of the war.
With the Soviet Union beaten and the Allies struggling to stave off defeat, Corwin must locate Villiers and prevent him from changing the outcome of the war. The security of the free world and the future of humanity is at stake.
    Members Reviews:
    Good premise badly executed
Unbelieveable combat events and many loose ends weaken what could be a very good series foundation. We don't know much at all of the arch-villain Villiers and his henchmen, or the history of world conflict that created his forces and the A.P.E.S. A major loose end occurred when the APES discovered the advanced jet aircraft in western Europe, but nothing was ever evident of Nazi use of this dominant technology, and the captured B-2 precursor just "disappeared", and was not heard from again. Neither state is realistic at all. Next, where were all the Americans? By 1943, Britain was practically tilting into the Channel with the weight of U.S. forces - nearly a million strong, based in Britain, both for air power and in anticipation of what became the D-day landing. Finally, two of the three female members of Corwin's team are lesbian, an obvious nod to present-day political correctness - overstated today and certainly not a dominant state, else drastic population decline. Thomas should either have proffered a future society making this team semi-believable, or should have built his characters on reality.
A sad excuse for a book
A sad excuse for a book. This could have been a good book. Instead it reads like a pathetic clone of any of several other books. It is filled with grammar and spelling errors. The writing is juvenile and simplistic. I wasted my time and money, don't waste yours.
    Fantastic War Novel
Time War:Invasion is full of action and entertainment, I felt like I was watching a movie. A futuristic Sci Fi Novel that starts out in the year 2074. Much of the population has been wiped out and injured severely. To get the help needed and to survive, they decide to experiment and create supersoldiers.

Please, please, please if you are going to narrate your own book make it professional. Do not have background noise that is not congruent with the story, do not have people speaking in the background as if you are in the schoolroom, and finally please do not have noises that distract from your reading. the story was wonderful the performance was amateurish at best.

    Having read all three books,
Although the premise is new and fresh and the characters are fine, suspension of disbelief only goes so far. Gasoline and functional cars are found on every corner. Our heroes retire to an island where these city dwellers magically develop the skills to sail in the ocean, grow crops, preserve food, general survivalist skills, etc etc etc.
I probably actually only read less than a 10th of the book, as the majority of it was endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless endless (get it?) descriptions of THE SAME THINGS over and over again, so ultimately I skimmed 9/10ths of the book. Not much happened in this last book. Less by far than the others.
I majorly regret spending $2.99 on this book. They would be worth .99 if all three books had the tedious nothing removed and became one book.
How much more can one man take?
INK Blue resumes our story of Edsel, Lash and Aiden approximately 5 years after the close of INK Black. After the disastrous encounter at the amusement park, the trio has sought asylum and peace on an island off the English coast. While Edsel and Lash seem to be content with their solitary exile, Aiden is growing restless at having no other human interaction, and no real way to find an eventual mate. The trio decides to make a short trip back to the mainland to assess the current state of the world and try to fulfill Aidenâs request.
Once on the Mainland they meet Michael, an eccentric older Awoken gentleman who becomes fast friends with Aiden. The trioâs brief âvacationâ takes a bizarre turn as yet again, Edsel finds himself the recipient of a bizarre Inking at the hands of Michael and a chase ensues to rescue Aiden and Lash from the clutches of their once benevolent friend.
I must say that I have mixed feelings about this book. The series as a whole was great and there is a definite conclusion to the story, but I didnât feel that there was really any resolution for Edsel. This poor guy has gone through so much, I just felt that there should have been something better for him than how this story ends. I know that some people will love the way this series ended but I personally am holding out hope for an INK sequel of sorts that follows the remaining characters down their continued paths. That really is the great thing about the state of the world that Al has created with the Lethargy, Eventuals, Whole, Awoken, etc. This entire concept is a goldmine for great storiesâ and we have already seen three series based off of this world.
