    Awesomeness Fun.
This story is continued from the last book, so read in order. I love this series. It is so funny and there is always a crazy adventure happening. I do love a good children's book. Gobber the Belch is my favorite character, with Stoic coming in close. I think it is great that there is a classification of the different types of dragons and a strength category, the only part where I wish I had the actual books to look at. I love the narration it really helps to visualize the story. I will defiantly be listening to all of the books in this series, maybe a couple times.
How to train your Dragon how to cheat the dragons curse
Friend and white movie with the roles of the best thing is to make it work
Another great story from Cressida Cowell
Loved it! And my kids do too. David Tennant delivers another fantastic performance. Norbert the nutjob is a hoot.
The best book I've ever listened to
It is a great book the best I've ever listened to. I recommend to all who like a bit of a laugh.
What is a true friend ?
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to be listened to, by any age !!!
It has a moral to the whole story, team work + true friends !!
What did you like best about this story?
I truly enjoyed each page as I heard them. Disappearing, in to the story ! To pick one part is hard. If I had to choose,
I guess, the best part is the last two chapters. What a friend would do, to help another friend !! Hiccup + Fish Legs. Both, are tested !!
What about David Tennants performance did you like?
He places the listener, in the story. Excellent with the variety of voices he does, to perfection !! I enjoyed each of David Tennant's, characters !!!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Did not have the time with children's attention spans. But yes, I shall, listen to this in its entirety !!
    Any additional comments?
    If you listen + like this book. Check out books # 1, 2, 3 & 4 !!
Just as thrilling but truly different stories. Except the Viking part + dragons :-)

    GOBBER THE BELCH
DOG'S BREATH CAN ROW WITH ONE HAND AND PICK HIS NOSE WITH THE OTHER
This is another brilliant and funny adventure in the series, SEE, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. This was not as good as book one, but few books are. It is still a five star listen, no matter your age. SURE AS FISH EGGS ARE FISH EGGS, your kids will love this.
HICCUP FIGHTS LIKE A GRANNY WITH A BACK PROBLEM
Our hero is no great looker, fighter, or anything extraordinary, if anything he is a bit on the small side. Even though he finished book one as a hero for saving the village, BOYS ARE FICKLE, and Hiccup soon finds himself just another kid. This is funny and entertaining. I especially love his tiny, cowardly, grouchy, dragon, who is TOOTHLESS.
    A LOL book!
I've had a great time listening to the How to Train Your Dragon series. I find the books funny and important to the psyche of all humans.
Hiccup is wonderful and he has many challenges to face. His leadership skills are growing and he conveys to all readers that being a hero is not about being perfect, being a hero means having compassion for others. Hiccup has plenty of hurdles but he takes these in stride by doing what he knows to be best.
    Fun series for all ages.
A fun adventure for all ages. My family listened to this while on a trip and the driving time just flew by. Hiccup and Toothless are defiantly the underdogs and have lots of adversity to overcome. I just love Gobber the Belch, he cracks me up. Dog Breathe, Snot Lout, Fish Legs, Warty Hog what crazy names. The narration is super funny, I like how it explains the book at odd times. I think they could have cut down on the sound in between chapters, but this one was better than the first in that respect. The narrator does an excellent job.
    LOL!
I have a 45 min commute to work everyday, and for my husband and I those 45 mins have been quite pleasant thanks to this book. We have spent that time laughing and engrossed in the book vs getting mad at the horrendous traffic we have to deal with everyday. Granted that this is a children's book but nowhere does it say adults can't enjoy it. This, just like the first, was funny and entertaining. I love the characters of Toothless, Fishlegs and Hiccup and it has been an absolute delight watching them stumble into being the heroes. I am looking forward to the time my son is old enough to read and understand this book and all the fun we will have reading it together. Cressida Cowell is a genius and David Tennant is just absolutely amazing!
    Tennant does not disappoint
Narrator David Tennant makes an already terrific story even better. Cressida knows how to write a Viking tale, and this book is as good as the first.

Great way of telling the history of Thanksgiving
Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, is a wonderful way of sharing the history of the pilgrims and the struggle that they went through. Rush Revere show a group of student what hardships the Pilgrims had to deal with on their quest of religious freedom; ending with the story of the first Thanksgiving.
This is a great way for children of all ages to learn just what the pilgrims had to live with. Rush Limbaugh does a great job in the narration of his book. This is a book that you will want to listen to over and over again.
    Reviving history
Where does Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
It's top notch. A kid's book that's like a good ride through unknown and intriguing territory. Really two stories: one the real-life history of the Pilgrims exodus to America and the school kids fantasy of a time traveling teacher and horse.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims?
The contrast between the near starvation of the Pilgrims on arrival in America and the cornucopia of a 50s drive-in.
What does Rush Limbaugh bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
His seriousness, respect and humor underscore the story at appropriate times.
Great for young and adult readers
If you could sum up Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims in three words, what would they be?
    Captivating, educational, positive
What did you like best about this story?
    Historical accuracy with appealing storyline
Have you listened to any of Rush Limbaughs other performances before? How does this one compare?
    Yes--my fave so far
    Any additional comments?
Buy it for yourself and for anyone who wants to learn history while being entertained
    Entertaining, Engaging, and Educational
Mr. Limbaugh tells a good story in a fun way so that you don't even realize that you're learning history. I enjoyed it and so did my kids aged 6-16. I look forward to the next one.
    Good Listen, Entertaining and Informative
The idea of this book was very creative. Rush is a decent narrator. You are entertained and informed all at the same time. Enjoyed listening with my 12 year old son. He was impressed. Recommend

    Typical Roald Dahl fun
If you like Roald Dahl quirkiness and humor, you'll love this one too...the quirkiness and word play of books like the BFG and the Twits with hidden value in the story like evil, greed, and bad being defeated by good in crazy, impossible ways. A unforeseen, imaginative, unexpected hero and funny twist of events leading to good defeating bad.
    Great narration
He had great impersonations of all the characters this book is the best book ever.

Admiral Westfield sucked in his breath and released it in a tremendous gust. "My dear," he said, "let me be clear: You are a young lady. You will not tell silly tales and you will never be a pirate."
Hilary Westfield has always dreamed of being a pirate. She can tread water for 37 minutes. She can tie a knot faster than a fleet of sailors. She particularly enjoys defying authority, and she already owns a rather pointy sword. There's only one problem: The Very Nearly Honorable League of Pirates refuses to let any girl join their ranks of scourges and scallywags.
Girls belong at Miss Pimm's Finishing School for Delicate Ladies, learning to waltz, faint, and curtsy. But Hilary and her dearest friend, the gargoyle, have no use for such frivolous lessons - they are pirates! (Or very nearly.)
To escape from a life of petticoats and politeness, Hilary answers a curious advertisement for a pirate crew and suddenly finds herself swept up in a seafaring adventure that may or may not involve a map without an X, a magical treasure that likely doesn't exist, a rogue governess who insists on propriety, a crew of misfit scallywags, and the most treacherous - and unexpected - villain on the High Seas.
Will Hilary find the treasure in time? Will she become a true pirate after all? And what will become of the gargoyle?
    Members Reviews:
    Best Narrator Ever!
If you could sum up Magic Marks the Spot in three words, what would they be?
    So much silliness!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Her gargoyle was a great addition; love the novelty of a traveling gargoyle.
Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgrens other performances before? How does this one compare?
Such a range of wonderfully unique and funny voice makes this story SO much better than when read in the book. Crazy, silly, funny characters are completely experienced when K.K. does them!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not required, you can stop and pick up later without losing out on the enjoyment.
    Any additional comments?
Thank you for two of my favorites in one book: Magic and Pirates!
Fun! This is a real adventure
Would you listen to Magic Marks the Spot again? Why?
Katherine Kellgren gives a wonderful performance as she narrates this tale of the high seas. It was a pure delight!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Magic Marks the Spot?
Hard to pick just one and not give away the story. Hillary leaving to join the Very Nearly Honorable League got me hooked, but the adventure continued.
What about Katherine Kellgrens performance did you like?
Her different voices for the characters.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
    Spunky heroine take sail!
    Very entertaining book amazingly performed
My seven-year-old twins chose this just because they enjoyed another book read by the same reader. I tried to tell them that that was a poor way to pick a book, but as usual they turned out to be right and I was wrong. We loved every minute of it. The narrator's voice characterizations are unbelievable.

Sugar wants to know everything about them - she loves the way they dress, their unfamiliar language, and, best of all, the stories they tell of dragons and emperors. Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10
    Publisher's Summary:
Now that Septimus, Jenna, and Beetle are 14 years old, they have assumed larger roles in their Magykal world. Beetle is the Chief Hermetic Scribe of the Manuscriptorium and Jenna will soon be Queen, but Septimus is still battling the remnants of the Darke Domaine, which will remain until the power of the evil Two-Faced Ring is destroyed forever. To accomplish that, the ancient Alchemie Fyre must be relit - a task that sends Septimus to the very origins of Magyk and Physik, testing both his skills and his loyalties to ExtraOrdinary Wizard Marcia Overstrand and Alchemist Marcellus Pye.
In a journey that encapsulates the entire Septimus Heap series, Septimus continues to discover who he is and expand upon his Magykal power and skills. Fyre weaves together every character from the series and incorporates many of the Magykal places from each book. Written with Angie Sage's distinctive humor and heart, Fyre is the grand finale that celebrates the greatest Magyk of all: When the Fyre inside is kindled and when the Time Is Right, anything is possible.
    Members Reviews:
    Waking the Fyre
Fyre (2013), the seventh and last book in Angie Sage's entertaining Septimus Heap series, enriched and disappointed me. The main story begins a short time after the events of the sixth book, Darke, during which Septimus and company managed to stop Merrin Meredith's Two-Faced Ring-guided Darke Domaine. Now Marcellus Pye, reinstated Castle Alchemist, is secretly restarting the great Fyre beneath the Castle for the first time since the Great Alchemie Disaster 500 years ago. ExtraOrdinary Wizard Marcia Overstrand is keeping the dangerous Two-Faced Ring in a magically Sealed Cell as she waits for Marcellus to become ready to DeNature the artifact. The two Darke Warrior Wizards trapped in the Ring are threatening to escape to extinguish Princess Jenna's line. Marcia's Apprentice Septimus Heap is still equivocating between Alchemie and Magyk. Septimus' oldest brother Simon (now fully redeemed after his year in the Darke) and Lucy Gringe are getting married in a well-attended ceremony. Sarah Heap is feeling happy because for the first time all eight of her children are together, but also stressed because the gifts for Jenna's impending Coronation are piling up. Jenna's biological father Milo is working on a secret project, while her biological mothers ghost is still waiting for the right time to Appear. Jenna is missing the easy relationship she had with the old Beetle, and, worse, is fearing that the Dragon Boat is dying. Aunt Zelda, the Keeper, is forgetting things, but luckily her Apprentice Wolf Boy is becoming ever more confident and capable. And the Wendron witches are still hoping to bag a trophy princess.
For the first part of the novel Sage lovingly tours the Castle (and its Palace and Wizard Tower) with her quirky characters, as if preparing herself and her readers to say good-bye to it all. Then, as in most of the books in the series, mind-boggling adult blunders lead to complications for her child heroes (now 14) to deal with. As in other books in the series, Sage introduces appealing new characters, in this case the Drummins, Alchemical salamander-dwarfs with shiny dark eyes, suckered digits, a complex system of burrows, a lyrical sign language, an affinity for Fyre, and the ability to hibernate for centuries when cold.
