I decided to write one review....
...for the entire series. Buy it Buy it Buy it!!!! Jacky Fabor is a character to end all characters. Pippi Longstocking, Anne of Green Gables and Huckleberry Finn all rolled into one. I must admit I was quite surprised to find the author was male. The entire series was swashbuckling fun from start to finish and pure joyful fanciful escapism. I hated to see the series come to an end.It is good to know there will be more and I can hardly wait. KUDO's to Katherine Kellgrin!! She is absolutely incredible what a talent!!! I truly believe her narration made for an incredible audio book. I am not surprised that two books from this series won 2010 Audie Awards.
    Great series
Still love these books even after listening to eight. The Wake is one of the best in the series, never getting slow and keeping the action going.
    Superlatives Depleted!
Where does The Wake of the Lorelei Lee rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Right near the top. It's not the prose or the story (which are good) so much as the fantastic performance by the narrator. It's pure entertainment that makes you taste the salt air and feel waves. If you are interested in nautical history or tall ships, if you like historical fiction, early 19th century in particular, you should try this series. Start with Blood Jack and enjoy.
What did you like best about this story?
Ms. Kellgren is a one woman tour-de-force. There are so many, many characters, accents, regional nuances and languages in the series and she manages to not only capture them but make them real.
Which character as performed by Katherine Kellgren was your favorite?
    She IS Jacky Faber.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I definitely did. However, I'm getting pretty nervous because there are only two books left in the series!
    Jacky is growing up!
Another fine book and inspired dramatic narration. One thing that LA Meyer does with Jacky is to tell her story in the historical context (much of it accurate) of the times she lived in. I'm not sure why people think this is a young adult book per se besides having a youthful main character.

    Super Short, but entertaining
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would have made it longer, and a little more suspenseful.
    Any additional comments?
It wasnt a bad listen at all. There just could have been a lot more to it. I think I expected something a little longer and suspenseful because of the movie. Still, as usual, the book was better.
Want My Money Back: "Updates" Ruin This Book
Who convinced the author to "update" this 1970s novel? It's not just that Vietnam becomes Iraq and the characters trade Cokes for Starbucks. References to contemporary technology are randomly inserted, and sloppily, too: giving the characters cell phones simply makes several plot points unravel. It's all a mess -- from the strange mixture of 70s and millennial slang to the bizarre juxtaposition of text messages, GPS and a throw-back communal hall phone. When I saw that this book was unabridged, my assumption was that I was getting an intact vintage novel -- not something dumbed down for a world that can't fathom life untethered from a cell phone.
    loved it
i loved this book i honestly loved it.
i recommened it if you havent read it ypu should before the end of tbe year.
    Great suspense throughout
Loved it! Ms. Duncan is a master at weaving suspenseful tales. I really enjoyed both the story and the audio performance.
    Great Class Novel
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The film didn't do this book justice. It (the book) is so much better. I have to remind my students that you can't start the book thinking about the movie, because it is so different. This gets the class engaged to what is in store.
    Any additional comments?
This is a great book for struggling readers. It keeps them on the edge of their seats the entire time. My class has read it every year and even the ones who have to read it again are excited to find the clues they missed the first time.

    Brooklyn
Andi Alpers is on the edge. Shes angry at her father for leaving, angry at her mother for not being able to cope, and heartbroken by the loss of her younger brother, Truman. Rage and grief are destroying her. And shes about to be expelled from Brooklyn Heights most prestigious private school when her father intervenes. Now Andi must accompany him to Paris for winter break.
    Paris
Alexandrine Paradis lived over two centuries ago. She dreamed of making her mark on the Paris stage, but a fateful encounter with a doomed prince of France cast her in a tragic role she didnt want - and couldnt escape.
Two girls, two centuries apart. One never knowing the other. But when Andi finds Alexandrines diary, she recognizes something in her words and is moved to the point of obsession. Theres comfort and distraction for Andi in the journals antique pages - until, on a midnight journey through the catacombs of Paris, Alexandrines words transcend paper and time, and the past becomes suddenly, terrifyingly present.
Jennifer Donnelly, author of the award-winning novel A Northern Light, artfully weaves two girls stories into one unforgettable account of life, loss, and enduring love. Revolution spans centuries and vividly depicts the eternal struggles of the human heart.
    Editorial Reviews:
From Brooklyn to Paris and from the 18th-century to the 21st, Jennifer Donnellys Revolution covers a vast spread of geography, culture, and time. Emily Janice Card does the heavy lifting in her narration of Andi Alpers, a Brooklyn prep school misfit and gifted musician with enough life experience for someone three times her age. Card delivers Andis heartbreak and depression with remarkable awareness, her intonation constantly evolving and adapting to the development of the character. When Andi finds a mysterious archaic diary while accompanying her father on a trip to Paris, narrator Emma Bering voices a smaller but vital role as Alexandrine, a French actress living in Versaille as a companion to Louis Charles, son of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, in Revolution-era France. Card and Berings collaboration yields a stunning performance of an alliance between two women separated by three centuries. Revolution will charm Francophiles, historians, and musicians alike.
Following the tragic death of her younger brother and the divorce of her mother and father, Andi spirals into a severe depression. Arguably the most stable in this arrangement, her father, an award-winning genetics professor at Harvard, takes notice when he discovers that Andi is in danger of failing out of high school. He insists that she join him on a business trip to Paris to focus on writing her senior thesis and her mental wellness. Initially reluctant to leave her mother behind, Andi soon finds a reason to explore Paris the diary written by Alexandrine detailing the final days of the French monarchy and the Reign of Terror.
The entanglement of Andi and Alexandrines storylines as Andi becomes engrossed in the diary offers a fascinating glimpse into both contemporary and 18th-century Paris. Donnellys striking construction of these two worlds is accompanied by Andis acute perception and passion for music of all eras. From Beethoven to Radiohead, music plays a central role in Andis emotional recovery and journey throughout Revolution. Card inhabits the musics supporting role ardently.

    Fun read
I really enjoyed the characters in the story (and the entire series). Some parts weren't entirely believable and others weren't developed as much as I'd hoped, but that didn't stop be from being totally sucked into the story!
    Lacked intensity
    Any additional comments?
The story lacked the intensity the other two books had. I was kind of bored actually until near the end where there was some level of suspense. Overall, the book was just ok for me.
Simone has written some really nice stories! Enjoy
I enjoyed this as much as the 1st...looking forward to the 3rd...Love the Fuentes brothers.
Love the Loyality of family and it is very easy to lost in these stories.
    Another Great Book!
Would you listen to Rules of Attraction again? Why?
Yes. The first book was great. Now I just have to know what is going on with the rest of the characters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dick, the father. He was so cool. Seems he had a handle on things.
Have you listened to any of Roxanne Hernandez and Blas Kisic s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The first book. The narrators rock in this book. Spot on!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did smile a lot at the general attitude and playfulness of the characters. Think I really enjoyed the dough fight.
    Any additional comments?
Audible rocks. You really give us your best efforts.
    great
Love this trilogy and can't wait for the final book. but I wished the audio book had a full cast of voices or different voices reading the stories.

It was a very entertaining and fun! A good audio book. It kept me busy during work!
    Loved this Book!
I was unsure as to whether I wanted to listen to this book or not and I am so glad that I did. I saw it was going to become a movie and I love to read a book and then see the movie to compare. Even if you don't want to see the movie, definitely read or listen to this book. I think every girl can relate to the main character. Even though the ending was predictable, it was a feel good funny love story.
    Fun
A little over the top, but that's high school for you. Good narrator, entertaining story. I hope the film version doesn't change too much.
    Omg
Loved the book can't wait to see the movie it is going to be awesome can't wait to see it
    Decent Story, Horrid Narrator
I started reading this book in the bookstore and the storyline is interesting, a little naughty without being raunchy - basically a fun fluffy read. When I got the audiobook I was shocked at how bad the narrator is. She is monotone, stiff and bored sounding throughout the first half of the book and the second half is only slightly better. I definately won't be looking for any other books narrated by Ms. Grafton.

    Disappointing After the First Arc
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would have a difficult time deciding to recommend this book to a friend. I would say yes, due to the fact I enjoy the first four (first arc), and they might enjoy continuing. However, I would also say no due to the fact I did not care for this book. I felt like there was not really anything happening, and it made me dislike my favorite liar, Hanna. I would say, yes to a die hard fan.
If youve listened to books by Sara Shepard before, how does this one compare?
I have listened to many books by Sara Shepard before, actually, I listened to The Perfectionist literally before this one. This one did not compare to her other books. I felt like not much happened right then.
Which character as performed by Cassandra Morris was your favorite?
My favorite character is always Hanna, but sadly, she made me dislike her with her attitude in the book. But, I will stick with her and say Hanna was my favorite. I also like A.
Was Wicked worth the listening time?
No, I feel that Wicked was not work my listening time, and I regret using a credit to purchase this title.
    Any additional comments?
I adored the first arc, the first four books, but this made me sad and not want to continue the series. I do not like saying that, but that is how I feel. Of course, I am an adult, so this might be greatly different for a young adult reader.
    Great
What did you love best about Wicked?
I liked the fact that Spencer may not be a Hastings.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Wicked?
Ian being killed because I do not think he killed Allison.
Which character as performed by Cassandra Morris was your favorite?
    Hannah
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes
Theres a New A In Town
The girls are back to their normal life now that A has been reviled and Alis killer is in jail. Well, it starts that way anyways but soon there is trouble with Alis killer and a new A is starting back where the old A left off. If you enjoyed the first four books of this series I am sure you will like this one also. It gets frustrating that the girls never seem to learn from their mistakes but hey if they did the books would not be so entertaining.

    Amazing
    Really enjoyed story and performer!
Her voice fits perfectly with each girl and has such a unique take on the story
    Addicted to the Series
    Any additional comments?
I love Cassandra Morris (the narrator). She does a great job in every one of the books I have listened to that she has done the recording for.
    guilty pleasure
If you have followed the Pretty Little Liars series and enjoyed it you will also enjoy Killer. These books are like a good gossip magazine for me and they are hard to put down. I am really irritated at the girls parents, I know the girls are not the best kids in the world but the parents (especially Spencers) are really starting to drive me crazy. In this book you are driven more into the mystery of what really happened to Ali and of course more into the drama that is everyday life for Hanna, Spencer, Emily, and Aria in Rosewood. Hanna is still having issues with her stepsister and father, Spencer is still trying to figure out her real life and about the parents she thought were hers and the mom that might be her real mom, Emily is finally happy with her boyfriend but A cant have her happy for long (or is A involved at all?), and Aria is still dealing with her new stepmom and her moms creepy boyfriend while she is trying to figure out her own love life. Then of course you have the whole Ali mystery still plaguing the girls and it seems like A is trying to help them figure it out. So is the new A helpful or just trying to pull the girls in too deep? This book ends with a bang, it will have you hurrying to download book 7. This has been a guilty pleasure series for me and I cant see stopping anytime soon.

    Publisher's Summary:
In this 2009 National Book Award finalist, Rita Williams-Garcia proves that she has an uncanny ability to project unique voices (Publishers Weekly). Jumped is told in alternating points of view between three girls as they struggle to make tough choices when they become involved in a fight at their urban high school.
    Critic Reviews:
So well observed that the characters seem to leap off the page. (Publishers Weekly)
"Leticia, a gossipy high-school student, knows that 'Girl fights are ugly. Girl fights are personal.' She says this after overhearing that Dominique, the tough-as-nails basketball player, is planning to beat up pink-clad fashion-plate Trina at 2:45.Bouncing between the three first-person accounts within the span of a single school day, Williams-Garcia makes the drama feel not only immediate but suffocatingly tense, as each tick of the clock speeds the three girls toward collision.Along the way, the characters disregard of such high-school stalwarts as A Separate Peace and Of Mice and Men subtly prepares the reader for the messy and gut-wrenching conclusion." (Booklist)
    Members Reviews:
    Good Message
I love Rita Williams-Garcias books. This one is real and deals with then unfortunate circumstances that happen daily in schools across the nation. Girl drama is personal but often laced with envy, jealousy and self hatred. The whole snitches get stitches mentality keeps society from the truth and in danger. Dare to be different and speak up, it may alter someone's life.
The voice in this novel is amazing.
Dominique is a rough and tough basketball player. Trina is a pretty-in-pink girl who thinks she's all that. But Trina messes up when she brushes past Dominique, breezing through her personal space when Dominique isn't in a good mood. Dominique is in trouble with her coach over her bad grades and she's trying to intimidate a teacher to pull her grade up a notch. Her solution: take her anger out on Trina after school.
Meanwhile, Leticia is a busybody who overhears Dominique's plan to jump Trina. Her friend Bea urges her to tell someone what she knows, that a fight is going to go down. Leticia can either warn clueless Trina--who didn't stick around Dominique to hear the threat--or do nothing at all.
The voice in this novel is amazing. The novel shifts between the three distinctive points of view of these girls. Also, the story takes place in one day, and I eagerly awaited the outcome: what was going to happen after school with these three characters?
    Quick, easy, and real
The book "Jumped" by Rita Williams-Garcia really hits the nail on the head when it comes to girl violence and the apathetic attitude of those around. All three main characters are totally oblivious to the thoughts and feelings of others, including the girl who ends up being jumped. The ending is so powerful and really shows how this generation feels about each other. As a high school remedial reading teacher, this book is a welcomed addition to my classroom library. It's a quick read, with easy enough vocabulary to appeal to the most reluctant reader.
    Five Stars

if you like the first you will like the rest
This is the same review I wrote for the first book but the story line has not changed a ton if you like the first you will like the rest. I have just finished book 5 of the Pretty Little Liars series and have already downloaded the 6th book to start soon. I am 26 so I am not a teenager, who is the audience I think these books were aimed at, but I love them anyways. These books have been like a great gossip magazine for me, you know the kinds you love to read but hide from everyone else. The people in these books never learn from their mistakes, are rich spoiled brats, and you find the parents just as bad as the kids (most of the time) but yet you cant wait to see what will happen next. The story revolves around four girls in high school who are being tormented with secrets from their past by the mysteries A. I cant explain why I like these books I just do they pull you in. Dont expect some huge deep story line these are shallow gossip at its best, and Im loving them.
    bad
very, very repetitive .sounded like the first book and same plot . nothing new happened
    Loved it!
Where does Flawless rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

Who was your favorite character and why?
I defiantly loved Emily the best, I feel like I can relate to her on so many levels!
What does Cassandra Morris bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Cassandra does an awesome job! I love how she bring feeling and heart to the book series!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I feel like I'd rather stretch out the book and make it last longer. I try to get 4-5 chapters evernight

I loved the book so much! I had to do a novel study for school. I decided to do PLL because I had seen the T.V show so many times and I love it, so I thought I should read the book. I liked it so much that I wanted to read book two, I tried to order it from the library, but our library didn't have it and neither did our local bookstore, so I decided to use Audible.
    Thank you so much Cassandra!

Aria can't resist her forbidden ex. Hanna is on the verge of losing her BFF. Emily is freaking out over a simple kiss. And Spencer can't keep her hands off anything that belongs to her sister.
Lucky me. I know these pretty little liars better than they know themselves. But it's hard keeping all of their secrets to myself. They better do as I say...or else!

    Best Yet
This was my favorite so far and I have just finished book 5 of the Pretty Little Liars series. A really steps up the game in this book.
    Repetitive
I am really enjoying these books with one exception: the first 8-10 chapters of each book are spent summarizing the previous book. It wouldn't be bad if it was the first 4 chapters--one for each character. But this won't prevent me from finishing the series. I'm addicted!!!
    Only one real annoyance...

This book is well written and performed. My only real complaint is that the reader mispronounced the word "Moët," which is easy to do.
    LOVED IT!
I loved this book! The series is amazing and I've probably listened to each one at least 3 times! Sara Shepard is an amazing author and I look forward to reading everything she has ever written! If you haven't read these books then start now. They are intense and full of mystery and they constantly make you want to know what will happen next.
