Didn't finish this, can't the stand male narrator!

I'm sure the story would have been just fine, as I have listened to many other audiobooks by this author and enjoyed them. But I just couldn't finish it. The male narrator ...GAAHHHH!!! I've never listened to anything else that he has done, so maybe he was just off on this narration, I dunno. He had zero enthusiasm where I felt there should have been some, I mean he was like ... monotone ... just lacking any and all emotion. Omg, I just figured out what his voice reminds me of - the guy from The Goonies who says "heeeyyyy yoouu guuuuuyys"!!! And when he did the voice for the role of the woman, it reminded me of when SNL does skits on the Kardashians, that whiny sedated sort of voice....just terrible. I've listened to a gazillion romance audiobooks and I am not hard to please, very rarely do I find an audiobook so lackluster that I need to leave a review to say so. Again, my negative feelings about this book are solely because of this male narrator's "performance".

Incredible as always

I have read all the books of Marie Force and this continues the tradition of my favorite author. You can't go wrong reading any/all of her books. In fact I have all in print and most in audible to listen and have listened to many numerous times.

Warning Awful Narration!

I have enjoyed passed audio books from this author and truly looked forward to this recent release. I enjoyed the story; however, this male narrator was a robot and it was painful to listen to.

My Heart is Restored

Kate Canterbary did Sam and Tiel justice. They are my favorite Walsh couple and I love their relationship. In this story we see them grow in their independence as well as a couple and it was beautiful.

Lucy Rivers and Christian Fox are a great team and I enjoyed their interpretation of these beloved characters. Perfect pacing and emotion had me both laughing and crying from beginning to end!

Well now this one is my new fav

Each book gets better. I like how the story continues with all characters still in play and the overlap of events from a different POV.

Back to My Favorite Couple

Back to my favorite couple, which was cool except... I thought we'd be moving to the next couple. It made me think that this series could've easily been written in chronological order, mixing all couples throughout (kind of like the BDB series) and each ending with one sibling's HEA.

Anyway, I'm a Walsh family fan, and I'd enjoy any chance to spend more time with them. And focusing on my favorite couple was nice. Thier story wasn't finished after thier first book so here we get more closure.

Wow

I'm never disappointed with Kate canterbarys stories. Having read this before the audio came out I knew the story, but the audio adds so much more to the feelings. Listening to Christian Fox in certain scenes had me laughing like a fool, and Lucy Rivers had me tearing up!!

Amazing as always!

This series is one of my very favorites and Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers do a great job narrating. The continuation of Sam and Tiel's story was sweet, heartbreaking, funny and lovely.

Would you listen to Aidan again? Why?

Yes, I actually bought the book on Amazon,read it awhile back and saw that it became available on Audible so I had to purchase the Audble version so that I could feel the emotions as portrayed by Sean Crisden and Jillian Macie. It makes the characters feelings jump off the page.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cara Jacks, because she is feisty, has a good sense of humor and is she is strong and she knows what she wants out of life. Since life is so fragile and is never a guarantee.

What does Sean Crisden and Jillian Macie bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Well for me it just enhances the story to have it portrayed by others. I can't get the true

feeling when I read a book. I like to hear the voices and the inflections of the performance to really feel the emotion. I did cry with this book. The performances were great.\

As I mentioned I read the book several months ago and just by re-reading on audible it made me feel like it was a new story i have never heard before.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in one sitting. I am fortunate enough to have a job that allows me to work with my ipod and I am able to listen while I work.

Cara and Aiden meet coincidentally while they are on a respite from their normal lives trying to get over hurts. I love the instant forward connection that Cara actually pursuits. Aiden is not sure they should hook up but she is on board and they both give in. They become friends with benefits and spend some time together before Aiden is called away for a family emergency. However Aiden has already begun to have feeling for Cara but deoesn't let her know. Cara knows she is not able to have a committed relationship, so she intends to leave after he is gone. Aiden senses that too but isn't too concerned as they have family/friends in common. They come together after Aiden loses his Mother.and they pursue a relationship.

Someone from Cara's past surface and reveals a secret Cara has been hiding and they break up. They have a big fight where he cries and she cries and So did I.

It is a good story, Lucian and Lia are involved and so does Uncle Lee and Peter Jacks, Cara's father. Its a great story and heart warming and I would definitely read it again. I am currently going through my library and re-reading books I have purchased and read so this is just another in a long catalogue of books.

amazing series

I loved all 5 books. I laughed, cried, and much more lol. I loved the emotion, love, and dedication of the characters. I hope this series continues for I can't get enough of it

Narration is lovely

Joel Leslie does a great job with the character voices (and, oh! how I love his Jamie and Vinnie voices!), pacing and timing.

I picked up the audio because I genuinely enjoy Joel Leslie, particularly his Australian accents, so even though when I had read the story I had been frustrated I thought maybe listening would have a different impact.

If anything the narration brings the bi-erasure that drove me crazy even more starkly to notice.

So while I can be objective and say the narration was wonderful, as expected, the story itself was almost more maddening to me via audio than reading.

There was an opportunity here to be inclusive.To give voice to a very marginalized, often persecuted, group...and it wasn't taken. Not only wasn't it taken, but I felt like the story took every opportunity to shut bisexuality down as hard as it possibly could be at every mention. And that's disheartening.

If you can completely ignore the bi-erasure there's a lot of warmth and love in this book.The friendship between Liam and Aaron is very sweet, the interactions between Vinnie and Aaron are, for the most part, lovely, and it's a fun, cute read with likable characters, low angst, lots of sweetness, and a wonderful HEA.

Great narrator but not a great romance~~spoilers~~

Warning there are possible spoilers in this review. This book made me uncomfortable. Let me begin by saying I love m/m romances. They are by far my favorite genre and at least half of what I read is m/m stories. I also enjoy the GFY theme. That being said I was uncomfortable during this entire book. Til the very very end, Aaron keeps telling Vinnie that he is straight, that he's not gay. This is reiterated over and over many many times throughout the course of the story. Aaron is not gay, he likes and dates girls. Yet Vinnie decides he is in love with his straight roommate Aaron and passive/aggressively manipulates the situation over and over to herd Aaron into intimate situations. He gradually breaks down Aarons protests and defenses, creating increasingly intimate encounters.

Fantastic Story that Soars From the Ashes

If you could sum up Untouchable in three words, what would they be?

exquisite, incredible, pure bliss

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the absolute beauty of the characters. They were already true to themselves and to each other no matter how hard things became. Their core strength pulled them through the hard times and their love was their constant encouragement.

Have you listened to any of Anastasia Watleys other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I listed to Lovely within this same series, and this story reached even farther into my heart and left an even deeper mark in its wake. I love this narrator's voice. It's like pure seduction wrapped in silk and topped with a luxurious white ribbon. Both books were performed by her in a manner that left me breathless and anxious for so much more. I am not sure anyone would read this author's books and give it as much justice as this narrator can. These stories comes to live and blossom under her melodious and rich, relaxing tones.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Can a woman disappointed and dejected her entire life finally open herself to the one man who would give her the world on a silver platter along with this fragile heart?

This wildly irresistible story has touched me on such a deep level that I know I will carry its mark for a very long time to come.

FASCINATING STORY

What made the experience of listening to Untouchable the most enjoyable?

Anastasia watley really made the story interesting. She is an excellent narrator.

Who was your favorite character and why?

London was tmy favorite character. Even though she waffled back & forth about being a sub, she was a very caring person.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene in the club where the H is being a dom to London. That was extremely hot.

I would recommend this to anyone who is into BDSM. The Dom here is very good & the fact that the club had such great rules concerning the sub. Everything had to be consensual.

A SEDUCTIVE & SEXY INTRODUCTION TO THE ROUGHNECKS

Rags to riches - Boone and his brothers have hit it big after striking oil on their land and Boone is continuing to use divining rods to find more oil at other sites the brothers own. They are down-to-earth rednecks who've always lived in a trailer.. but now they can afford one each. When You See Crazy Coming, Cross the Damn Street

This was an enticing romance that kept me listening and interested to the end. Who knew that a tattooed up, facial pierced Irish rock star could be so sexy, and dense. Cillian seemed to know everything about what Renner wanted and was completely clueless about his bandmate/former girlfriend. But he was awfully cute anyway. I love that even with everything Renner had to be insecure about, she didn't let that make her a jealous shrew. Love the chemistry between Cillian and Renner. The story fell in line with the others in the series.

The narration was good and the Irish accents, especially by Matthew Holland were easy to listen to and understand. Charlotte does a good job with the female voices and a passable Irish accent. I would listen to them narrate other books.

Definitely worth the credit. This is the the third book that I've read in the series and I am still looking forward to completing the series. Good job Sawyer Bennett.

Angst-filled romance

Pretty basic romance. Lots of talking and soap opera melodrama.

The male narrator's male voice is super-sexy, but his female voice is off - it takes you out of the story.

A few hot sexy times. Mostly vanilla.

Another great addition to this series.

Great listen

I really enjoyed this book. A few of the annunciations made my skin crawl, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. I cried, I got angry, and I laughed. This book sucks you in and a few times I found myself responding the same thing as the characters at a climactic point. It's easy to get pulled into Sawyer's books.
