Oh, What A Tangle Web They've Weaved!

I love finding new authors and WOW did Ahren Sanders enthrall me with Hotshot! The story intrigued me with all the drama and angst, and kept me engaged. When I first started listening, I was afraid this story would have a lot of teenage drama, but once I realized the direction Sanders was taking it, I couldn't stop listening. Well worth the time.

Some spoilers;

Lizbeth nicknamed "Bizzy" meets Crenshaw "Shaw" when she was fourteen and going through chemo treatments the same time as Shaw's younger brother Nick. Close in age, and having a connection, Nick and Bizzy hit it off, beat cancer, and become best friends. While Bizzy and Nick may be best friends, she also formed a bond with Nick's older brothers Shaw and Mathis; however, she's always had a special connection to Shaw. Over the years, the three brothers became protective of Bizzy and watched over her.

Ten years later, Bizzy and Shaw realize what everyone around them already knew, their feelings run much deeper. Shaw asked Bizzy to go on a business trip with him to help her relax since she is under so much stress. She doesn't want to go because of her secrete crush on Shaw, but reluctantly agrees when all the brothers insist. While on vacation, Shaw confesses his feelings for Bizzy, and Bizzy confesses hers. The chemistry between them was explosive and HOT. Great Series

Excellent writing, really enjoyable series and great narrative by both narrators. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

stole my breath and my heart

This was a very action-filled story with lots of moving parts. It took me a minute to get into it, but once fully engaged in couldn't but it down.

I also listened to the audio and the narrators were to perfect choice for the characters they portrayed.

So thrilling

Tia didn't disappoint, yet again. I loved this second book in the series and just can't wait for Book 3!!!

Zelda & Cal Continued

As much as I loved this book, it was a lot darker than the first one. I had trouble listening to a couple of the scenes, which included torture that was a little too graphic for me, so be forewarned. However, I loved the characters and the suspense. Ms. Louise knows how to weave a tale with great characters and lots of romance and mystery. This reminded me of the classic movies I love, like To Catch a Thief and the Bond movies.

Both narrators were very good in their own right, but it would have been so much better if the woman read the female parts and the man read the male parts instead of alternating chapters, which makes the narration inconsistent. I think this is more expensive, though, so I can't really blame authors for opting not to do it.

Overall, I recommend this audiobook and feel it's definitely worth a credit. I hope the third book, Dirty Dealers, will be made into an audiobook. I really liked Logan and look forward to his story, so I'm waiting with bated breath.

Narration ruins it again

I don't know if the authors have done something to piss the folks at Blushing Books off. clearly there's some bad blood.

The stories in this series are good, better than many in the genre. Formulaic, HEA books with hot scenes, but also providing reasonable character depth and a good mix of drama, humor and pathos.

But, while these books make a decent read, the narration in the audiobook is an absolute horror-show and makes enjoyment of them almost impossible. Painful. The only way I was able to get through them was to think of the reader a prompt for an actual narration going on in my head. And I did that much mainly out of a sense of support for the writers.

The reading is stiff, with bad, awkwardly timed inflection and elocution that makes it seem as if this is the first time the reader ('cause this *ain't* narration) of the audiobook has encountered the script. The narration in each of the books of the series is consistently bad.

This quality of the reading in this audiobook is a frank betrayal of the writers. It seems designed to garner bad reviews. Worse, however is that it is a giant "f**k you" tp the listener. Bad production values on the level of those in this audiobook show absolute disdain for the listener. Which is curious in a business where the listener or read holds the power over success.

So, the only thing I am left with is that the writers pissed Blushing Books off somehow, because these tracks feel like vengence.

Fun, sexy story

I loved the authors development of the relationship and the smart dialogue and interesting storyline. I'm excited it's a series and can't wait to listen to the next story. The narrator did an excellent job.

Completely intoxicate me, I am sitting at work with earbuds in, and this book has my attention! Jane Henry and Maisy Archer have a winning series started with the Boston Doms! Heidi hears her neighbor spanking his date through the window and is totally intrigued by what she hears.

One to keep you hooked...

River of Love is the third book in the The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor series. This book is Sam and Faiths story and can be read as a standalone; however, reading the others in the series will enhance the story enjoyment. Sam has a history of being a player but now is hooked on the one woman that wants nothing to do with him. Faith is recovering from a break-up that emotionally devastated her. As a result, she starts an online support group called WAC Women Against Cheaters. As they spend more time together, they each learn more about the other, and the attraction rises. This story is engaging and will keep you hooked. I enjoyed listening to this narrator, and definitely recommend this book.

It gets better and better!

This book is about a person's ability to change in order to be worthy of someone's love and the other person's learning to trust enough to let love in.Sam's brother has warned him away from Faith, the physician's assistant that works in Cole's practice. He knows Sam is a huge player and doesn't want to see Faith hurt. Sam's attraction to Faith overcomes everything else and he wants to get to know her better. Unfortunately, Faith knows about his reputation, too.She's convinced he's a cheater.

When Sam shows up at an event to raise money for the group Faith has put together to help women who have been cheated on, his jumping in to help is the first chink in Faith's armor against Sam. He has lots more work to do to get close to her.

I absolutely loved that Sam was so determined and worked so hard to try to get Faith to give him a chance.

B.J. Harrison's narration is a smooth, melodious delivery that relaxes you from the first word and oozes romance.

Absolutely loveit

once again the Richie sisters write a great story. they have become one of my favorite writers

Narration fell short

I absolutely love this book. The plot, the characters, just everything, it worked for me. I'm not a fan of the authors' other books really so you know, my love is based 100% on the book. That being said, I felt like the narration was not really up to par.

When the narrator is reading Tora, it's fine, no issues. When she reads male voices however, that's when it falls flat for me. Her voice goes a little stronger (more male like) speaking one line to a softer one (more female) in the next. There is a line where it reads "... he says in that low husky voice" yet he sounds just like Thora does. It's not as if I'm expecting the narrator to sound exactly like a man, I just think the way she read Nikolai was not consistent throughout the book.

Still, it wasn't horrible or hard to listen to. I do think I'd rather read the book again as opposed to listen to it.

Love Love Love

I hesitated downloading this book because of the cover. Ya, I know don't judge a book by its cover, but in this case, I couldn't help it. The cover of Amour Amour, looks like cover of the cheesy 70's Harlequin romances my grandmother used to read. But based on some reviews from Goodreads, I gave it a go, and wow is this worth a read. At first at takes a little while to warm to the MC Thora, she's weak, insecure and not all that charming. But after Nik and his lovable family members are introduced into the mix, you can't help get sucked into wild world of the Vegas circus scene. I can' wait for Luka's book.

Amazing

The narration was very good. The story is original and very well written /told. Time to fall in love! I give it 5 stars because there isn't a 6 star option.

I would definitely listen to this book again, I've actually listen to it three times already....and I'll be going back for more. I found that when I was listening to this book I became completely immersed in Thora's world and all of the people in it.

Loved this one

Wasn't sure about this book after reading the synopsis and the lack of audible reviews posted at the time. I couldn't tell if this was worth my time and $/credit. However all that being said I'm so glad I took a chance on this one. This was such a sweet story but had a dirty side as well. Overall it was a cute lighthearted story that's funny, sexy at times, but not overly so, and keeps your attention from start to finish. The narrators are amazing and only add depth to the characters. This book is worth a credit/$.

Couldn't finish

Started out OK, but the 'story' deteriorates' fast. Why would anyone like the male lead - a man who degrades a woman is NOT sexy. And on what planet would a woman think she can get 'revenge' on a man by giving him a BJ. Just stupid. I want my credit back.

Great Addition

The Wicked Prince: Royal Scandals Book 5 by Nicole Burnham. Prince Alessandro has always been the wild Barrali. He loves adventure and going his own way. He meets Francesca Lawrence when he is impersonating his brother, Crown Prince Vittorio. Once his impersonation duties are complete Alessando returns to his wild ways. However, he is dissatisfied with his life and is looking for a new escape. Frannie left a lucrative job to open a shelter on the tsunami ravaged island of Kilakuru. She travels to Sarcaccia to meet with the Queen to request additional funding for the shelter and in is in hopes of recruiting some volunteers. When Prince Alessandro appears at the shelter in the South Pacific, shes sure he has no idea what he is getting into and is just whiling away his time. As he spends time at the shelter she comes to realize that the children love him and enjoy spending time with him. She is beginning to feel the same but is afraid to trust her heart to the heartbreaker Prince Alessandro. Alessandro feels that his past indiscretions make him an unsuitable partner for Frannie.

Hollis McCarthy has narrated all the books in this series. She again does an excellent job with the accents and characters voices, including the children. She appears to have an affinity for the Barrali family and their accented speech. Ms. McCarthys ability to make the come alive, is a great asset to the narration of the book. Her telling of the story has you feeling the emotions that the characters experience. The narration flowed nicely with no stops or stammers. There dont appear to be any miscues in the reading.

I absolutely cannot wait for more

It's so hard to choose a favorite with this series, but I think this one comes closest. Nicole Burnham writes wonderfully with great storylines. I enjoy "the world" she has created. I cried at the end of this one. I absolutely cannot wait for more.

Hollis McCarthy's voice is perfection while reading these stories. She has made these books a delight to listen to while I'm on longer trips. The story plays out like a movie in my head which makes the monotonous drive less tiring.

Prince Alessandro's character has come full circle in this book. He started out in the earlier Royal Scandal Books as the party prince. But in his Alessandro's story, we get to see the party prince mature, find his purpose in life and fall in love.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book. I already knew that Marina Adair was a good writer. Her books are easy to read with great characters. But this audiobook was a shorter one, so I really expected it to be a little short on story for what I enjoy. I was so wrong. This book was full of depth for the characters and the backstory and loaded a great emotional punch. I loved listening to it!

My heart absolutely broke for Darcy especially and more and more of her story was revealed and it became obvious just how much she'd lost when Gage's brother betrayed her. But I also really loved that Gage and Darcy had been friends when she'd dated his brother, although he always felt more for her.

This is a family of brothers (I love that) and I like how they all get together to talk through the family issues. They're really close and I do like that kind of dynamic in a book.

Overall this was just a great audiobook. I'm just sad that none of the other books have come out since this book came out quite a bit ago(writing this as of August, 2017). I'm ready for more Eastons.

Chasing I Do

This was a good story except for the end. The conflict was resolved in one paragraph. I mean, there was real conflict. Serious conflict between the Hero's mother & his love interest and between him & the woman he loves. And then it was just brushed away like it was never a real threat. I hate when an author does that. One of my pet peeves! But I liked the characters and the build up of the story up to the ending.

Good handling of a familiar plot line. Grandma was a good twist, but the handling of same resulted in a cliffhanger, which was annoying, because Granny owes a huge apology to the heroine before obtaining visitation.

Short and under developed

LOVE!! Love Rage! I've loved her in all the books. Her personality is hilarious and I loved getting to know her in this book!

Loved It! Awesome Story!

I've been wanting to try the world of T.M. Frazier and finally took a chance, and WOW I'm glad I did! I loved "All the Rage." Not too dark, not to light but a good mix of grit, dry humor, heat and action with reverse character roles. Instead of the hero being damaged, it's the heroine, and Rage was such a unique indifferent character. All the positive reviews are spot on!

Hollie Jackson and Roger Wayne's performance was great! They did an awesome job portraying the characters, and I liked how they delivered the dry humor.

Well worth the time, credit, or sale! If you like dark MC stories, this is one you will want to add to your audio collection!

I have to admit, I only physically read 1-2 books a year. I listen to hundreds, but I have to realllllly want a book to find time to physically read it. I found time for Rage, and it was a fantastic choice! Listening to it once the audio came out was even better. The narration was amazing and totally matched Nolan and Rage. This is such a unique book. Rage isn't your average girl. It starts with her as a child and we get a look into the mind of a not so average kid. She tries to be "normal" and even enlists her best friend to help, but eventually after years of suppressing her inner self she accepts who she is and embraces her uniqueness- becoming Rage, a bad ass chick with no conscience and no regrets. A killer for hire. A legend. Except one of her missions involves keeping an eye on Nolan- a hot guy in a wheelchair with an ugly mutt at his side, and from there things get entertaining!!! I laughed until I cried at the pool scene. It brings a smile to my face every time I think about that scene you will fall in love with Nolan and Rage and this book will be one of the best you've listened to.

THIS INTENSE GRITTY ROMANCE CONSUMED ME

To my knowledge, there has never ever been a book like this before - it's an outrageous story about Rage an outrageous character who was born without the empathy or remorse gene and that makes her a very dangerous character indeed. But instead of disliking her you wish you had her as a friend because her whole attitude, badness and unintentional dry humor is so endearing and funny. At 16 she rode away on the back of Smoke's Harley....
