    Publisher's Summary:
Anthony Hetheridge, ninth baron of Wellegrave and chief superintendent for Scotland Yard, will marry Kate Wakefield in three weeks. It's inevitable - the invitations are out, the flowers are ordered, the cake is chosen. But murder waits for no man - and no wedding.
In London's prestigious West End, a disgraced CEO has been murdered at Hotel Nonpareil, an exclusive destination. No one, it seems, liked Michael Martin Hughes. Not his estranged wife, Thora, or his defiant son, Griffin. Not Hotel Nonpareil's manager, its head of security, or perhaps even the two most important women in Hughes' life: his future bride, Arianna; and his secret girlfriend, Riley. And before Hughes died, he incurred the wrath of none other than Sir Duncan Godington, longtime nemesis of both CS Hetheridge and DS Paul Bhar.

    Good English Scotland Yard Mystery
Very upper " Lord" voice is the narrator. But...Lady Hetheridge's voice just did not fit!
The story was good. A little tongue in cheek.
The murderer was a very smarmy fellow!
    Movie.?
I would love to see a movie series on this series. The characters could be great.
    Good series
I really like this series. The stories are clever and the characters well developed. The narrator is great for all the character EXCEPT Kate. I know she's supposed to be from the poor side of town but she sounds like Betty Boop or Minnie Mouse.
Barely made it to the end
I wanted to like this book and there were moments when I enjoyed some of the humor but overall just did not enjoy the narration at all. It might be more enjoyable in print. The plot was not that intriguing. Sorry!

Narator rushes through the tale survives
An enjoyable story line and engaging people. Read the book to avoid the irritating narator
Difficult Narrator but loved the story
Would you listen to Daisies for Innocence again? Why?
Yes. I loved the story. Loved the magical garden, descriptions made me feel like I was there . . . and I wish I was! And of course the little corgi Dash.
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Iliana, the magical gardener!
Would you listen to another book narrated by Vanessa Daniels?
Ummm . . . probably not unless it was a book that I just had to hear and couldn't find time to read.
    Any additional comments?
The narrator was very difficult to sit through. There were many mispronounced words, such as Newfoundland and pergola. She also takes awkward pauses and reads quickly so I caught myself rewinding to catch missed words.
    Aromatic!!
I really enjoyed this story and the narrator was perfect! I want her little shop!
    Very Good Start
I really enjoyed this book. Bailey Cattrell created interesting characters in a nice town. There is a little romance and an interesting mystery. I look forward to the next book.

She's a good writer but I really like the souther pasta series much better.
She's a good writer and I love the narrator. This book got a little raunchy with the bad language and the "sex toy party". If she keeps getting raunchier I will stop reading this particular series and hope there will be more of the southern pasta series. I thought for it to be a cozy mystery, it needs to be safely clean and lacking in foul language. She's an excellent writer though and the narrator is great!

When Finch is found murdered in his shop, the Roseland sisters, with the help of two fine felines, are drawn into the search for the killer.
    Members Reviews:
    Excellent continuation in the series
I really enjoyed this book because it is a well written and skillfully plotted mystery.
We learn more about the likeable cast of characters introduced in book 1 and are also introduced to 2 new characters who have important roles in later books in this series: Victor Finch and the cat Circe.
Victor Finch was cruelly abused by his brother Thaddeus fifty years ago. They have not been in contact since Thaddeus pushed Victor down a flight of stairs, crippling him for life and stealing everything he owned. Victor comes to Sweet Cove hoping for some healing and reconciliation between them but Thaddeus is murdered.
Victor's story is quite moving because he suffered so much yet was willing to forgive.
He stays at the B&B and becomes close friends with Angie and her sisters. At the request of police chief Martin, they work together using their psychic gifts to help find the murderer, and are helped by their cats Euclid and Circe.
This is another good cozy paranormal mystery that readers can enjoy.
Murder and mystery continue for the girls
    Book 2:
With the move into her inherited home a beautiful old Victorian home just down the street from her old bake shop location, Angieâs sister Ellie is preparing to open a bed and breakfast. Angie has big plans for her new bake shop; however the construction is taking longer than expected.
Courtney before graduating is working part time in Finchâs Confectioners when Mr. Finch is murdered. Mr. Finch was very mean and nasty and not many were very upset about his demise. Mr. Finch has a brother whom he has not seen in 50 years, who just happens to show up the day of the murder. Itâs an interesting story line when you learn more about the deceased Mr. Finch and begin to see why the girls are attaching themselves to their guest, Mr. Finch.
While searching for the murderer, we now have two cats helping out. The story line is good, the humor and laughter is great.
A Sweet Cove Mystery-Murder So Sweet
Let me start off by saying that the only violence that was ever mentioned here was the murder. Poor Angie and her sister Courtney find the body of her employer of 10 days, Mr. Finch and the investigation begins, also they begin to gain knowledge that they have powers of their own. Only two develop at first, but slowly but surely they will come to terms with it. They solve the murder, they gain a house guest of the two legged kind and also a house guest of the four legged kind. This book is easy to read and the characters are great and the plot is easy to follow. But it is better if it is read in order. The cats are wonderful and intelligent and very protective of their owners.....
    More great reading fun!!
Love these sisters ! They are smart self sufficient fun loving and make me wish to be their friend.

    Members Reviews:
Laughs and suspense from the very beginning!
I love all of Ann Charles books! The Audible version really does a great job of "bringing them to life". I highly recommend you give them a listen - you'll be laughing out loud one minute and cringing in suspense a beat later!
More of Violet's adventures in Deadwood
This is a sub-par entry in the Deadwood Mysteries series by Ann Charles. Not a heck of a lot happens in the first half of the book, and rather than being a self-contained mystery within a larger multi-book story arc (as the earlier books were) just ends on a cliff-hanger of a revelation. I hate that!
Violet, an incredibly strong character in most aspects of her life, continues to doubt her relationship with Doc. Or rather, Doc's feelings for her. "Does he love me? Oh, he can't love a woman with kids! He told Tiffany he didn't want to get married! Does he love me?" Over and over and over. But she won't ask him because she's afraid of the answer. Their sex scenes are fewer in this book, but remain X rated.
All that being said, I did enjoy it, and if you have read the previous 4 books in the series, you will definitely want to read this one. The story arc of paranormal happenings in Deadwood, and Violet's place in them are moved forward, albeit grudgingly.
Caroline Shaffer's narration continues to shine. Every character, male and female, is clearly defined. Her voicing of Old Man Harvey continues to be a hoot.
I'm going to finish with a pet peeve. I can't understand why the Audible version of this series is not released at the same time as the books. This book was published more than a year ago, and there is now a 6th book out which still isn't on Audible. Record them faster, people! This is a series that really comes alive with a good narrator.
    This Is A Great Series
This is a great series. I enjoy the banter of the characters and the twists and turns in the plot. The Kindle version is available on Amazon, but, I'm waiting for It to be available on Audible. The narrator brings the story to life and makes the book more enjoyable.
Great fun! Characters are quirky and the storyteller does a great job
I'm enjoying these off the wall paranormal "cozy" mysteries. Got hooked by accident as I was looking for something less intense in the mystery/police procedures venue. Try one of these seven Deadwood novels and I know you will have a fun time listening.
I can't wait for the next book
This series has been by far one of the most entertaining I have listened to in a long time... I'm on the edge of my seat here waiting for Meanwhile In Deadwood to be available on audible....

    Sweet dreams bake shop
I am a very long time fan of Agatha Christie, and have been very surprised that this type of mystery , still exists. Yes , very happy to know that Miss Marple is alive and well baking cupcakes.
    Fabulous
This was a fun and interesting story. You become acquainted with the characters so that you can feel the storyline through them. I really enjoyed it and the fact that no foul language was interwoven made certain that I will read everything this author writes. Thank you!
    Sweet but predictable
This cozy mystery is a pleasant diversion but, alas, I suspected the culprit almost immediately!
    The Sweet Dreams Bake Shop
    Any additional comments?
"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."This is a nice, mystery with a bake shop, victorian house, and a death all wrapped up together.I must say I figured out the villan, but not the reason why. The ending left me wanting more. The narration is very well done.
    Fun read with promise!
What made the experience of listening to The Sweet Dreams Bake Shop the most enjoyable?
I found the characters believable and interesting as was the story line. That this is the first of a series, you had to expect some lead in about the people being introduced. There is humor, and remember why you thought you would read it ... it has some mysterious circumstances that will appeal to your curiosity.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Sweet Dreams Bake Shop?
In spite of all the down stuff happening to the main character, she pulls herself up by her floury shoes and cooks on. Forced to move out of her bakery and find another and "wham" it happens and we love it! Well ... I did.
Which character as performed by Carla Mercer-Meyer was your favorite?
The chief cook and bottle washer, she is sweet and able, just like my sister.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Nothin' says lovin' like muffins in the oven.
    Any additional comments?
I joke a bit, but really this was a good read considering what the author is trying to do. She introduced her story line, her peopled surroundings, lost a dear friend, and while losing her store decided to try to find out who would do such a dirty trick. I liked it enough to want to read her next book.

The gossip around town is that architect Haywood Dodd plans to make a big announcement at the party. But before he can address the crowd, he's found dead, with Patricia standing over him, holding the murder weapon. Anxious to clear Patricia's name and perhaps broker a truce with her, Carly would love to use her snooping skills to find the real killer. Only she has bigger problems to deal with - ghosts are flocking to her for help, including a very persistent Haywood Dodd....
    Critic Reviews:
"The Magic Potion Mysteries will put readers under a spell." (Ellery Adams, author of Murder in the Mystery Suite)
    Members Reviews:
The best yet in this series
    Any additional comments?
A Ghost of a Potion is the third book in the Magic Potion Mystery series, and I honestly believe that it is the best so far in this series. As far as the plot...basically, Carly is a white witch, magical potion maker, and empath. Many of her friends and family also have special gifts, but not all of them. With Halloween approaching, ghosts who have not been able to "cross over" will look to her (and her cousin Delia) for help to resolve their unfinished business so they can move on. A murder occurs, giving Carly one more spirit to deal with. Her boyfriend, Dylan's, mom is accused, and Carly tries to help clear Patricia's name (even though she hates Carly).
The first two books were excellent and introduced a nice variety of quirky characters, who I enjoyed getting to know. But I think that in this installment the characters personalities and interactions were very finely tuned - it all just seemed to come together so smoothly. Heather has managed to introduce an improbable scenario and make me feel like it was natural. I was especially impressed with how she managed to mesh several different sub-plots seamlessly into one story, and they all just flowed together and became one. I liked that the reasons for some of the spirits not being able to move on where not just "find out who killed me", but instead were more touching.
In the end, I was extremely satisfied with the resolutions of all the sub-plots (although we have to wait for Dylan's reaction in the next book - which is OK). It all just felt good and right, and I was sorry when the book ended. As a matter of fact, I was so drawn into the plot and characterizations that I ended up finishing the book in one day. I kept looking for a place to quit, but never found one. I had to know what was going to happen - and, to me, that is the sign of a great book. I look forward to more in this series.
    Super fun and cute
Where does Ghost of a Potion rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
This book is a cute light hearted read. The story is cute and the mystery was pretty original. This is the 3rd book of three and I read all 3 and was very pleased!
What other book might you compare Ghost of a Potion to and why?
These books do remind me a little of the SookieStackhouse books, but more PG.

    Ouch!
Where does Dead with the Wind rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
It's a pleasant cosy, which is what I bought it for.
If youve listened to books by Miranda James before, how does this one compare?
Mediocre - I missed Diesel the Maine Coon cat.
Would you be willing to try another one of Jorjeana Maries performances?
NO! While I'm not familiar enough with Southern accents to comment, her persistent mispronunciation of basic French words like "maman", "tante", and even "Ducote", the surname of two of the main characters, was wince-worthy.
    Entertaining
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Just what I wanted: light entertainment.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
    The taste of the South
Do you think Dead with the Wind needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Oh, yes! I want to see what the sisters get up to next.
    Narrative
Really enjoyed this audio except for the "voice" of child. That grated on my last nerve.
    Fantastic!
This was such a good book I hated for it to end. The characters were believable, enough detail so you felt like part of the story but not to much to keep up with. I can't wait for the next one!!
    Wonderful
A terrific mystery, twists and turns, humor and well written. Enjoyed narrator as well.

Olivia realizes that each setup represents a cliché. And who better to decode the cliché clues than her Bayside Book Writers group?
    Members Reviews:
    A Wonderful 2nd Installment!
Would you listen to A Deadly Cliché again? Why?
Absolutely. I am an avid cozy mystery listener, and this is hands down my new favorite series. I love the characters, I love how they are developed, and I love how Karen White delivers a spectacular performance.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Absolutely. The plot had A LOT going on, but in a good way. You have a few different things that weave together, and the whole time you are unsure who to trust or what will come next.
    Which scene was your favorite?
You learn a bit more about Olivia's past and how that shaped her as the person she is today, and wow it will leave you feeling so many different emotions. You feel sadness, but also a sense of peace for her. The scene at the end of the book which addresses her family is one that was narrated so well and my favorite for that reason
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book brought out every single emotion. It made me cry, it made me feel grief, it made me feel joy, and a sense of redemption. I laughed at a few different parts, and really felt like I knew and understood the characters.
    Any additional comments?
I highly recommend that you read this series in order! For starters there is a book club, and that theme carries through each of the novels. This is important because each of the characters books are sampled throughout, so for example you will get to hear chapter 2 of Harrison's book, and then later on you get to hear Chapter 2 of Malay's book. However, this folds over into each series, so in the 3rd book of this series the stories continue, and it helps a lot to put them together! Also, there are a few different plots happening, two of the running plots deal with murder and mystery, and one plot deals with Olivia's business venture, and a fourth plot deals with Olivia's personal life (and boy thats a huge and shocking story line). You get to know each character more personally, and reading them in order amplifies that.
    Okay, NOW it's a series!
The first book was a bugger to get through. Now that a few characters are established, especially Olivia, the author has been able to further develop her and have the reader develop right along with her. There were several laugh out loud points for me. I tend to go with Olivia's type of humor. And then there was a very tearful point for me, too. The author has me as a loyal listener. Let's hope the momentum keeps moving!
    gave it some thought
Would you listen to A Deadly Cliché again? Why?
    no...but then I don't listen twice.
What did you like best about this story?
    the story itself
What about Karen Whites performance did you like?
at first I thought her too clipped too precise. but then realized it really did seem to fit the character.

Soon, rumors of crazed zombies abound in the Miami media, and the Krewe of Hunters, an elite FBI unit of paranormal investigators, is called in. Brett and Lara find themselves working with the Krewe - and working closely together. An elderly crime boss who's losing his memory seems to be key to solving this case, but...there's no motive. Unless Brett and Lara can uncover one in the Miami underworld. And that means they have to protect themselves. And each other.

    Disappointed
I waited a long time for this audio book, and I was really disappointed.
The story was not good. I love Krewe Of Hunters, but this one didn't do anything for me. It wasn't intense like the others, and it was predicable.
The story wasn't believable at all. Zombies, really. Almost zombies, not any better. The love story was boring and predictable. Not one of my favorite HG books. I feel like I wasted a credit!!!
    Awful
I was amazed that anyone could string so many cliches into sentences. Apart from the ridiculous story line and the turgid prose, the narration was awful. He could do Cuban but he couldn't do woman.
I did however get to the end, but I think that says more about my life than the book.
    Thrilling book
Where does The Forgotten rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
In the top listening entertainment. I thoroughly enjoy Heather Graham as a writer. There is romance, mystery, suspense and it keeps you wanting to read more.
    Entertaining
Y first audible purchase and I was very satisfied . This was a good story and I found it very entertaining . Hard to turn off .
    Series becoming too formulaic
I have ready/listened to all of the Krewe of Hunters books and early on in the series I found them to be an exciting mix of crime, romance, and the paranormal. As the series has progressed the story lines have become imitations of previous books. I keep listening out of a loyalty to the author, but I think this will be my last Krewe of Hunters book. Heather Graham is a great author so I do suggest her other books.
