Brilliant!

Once again Tillie Cole has written a masterpiece of a romance! I loved this very romantic story about two star-crossed lovers who meets in a vineyard in Italy. The heroine has been raised to become a queen and has been betrothed to the de facto prince of Italy since she was a child. When the time comes for her to travel to Italy to marry the prince, this American/Italian woman finds that she's not attracted to the playboy prince, who leaves her at his estate while waiting for the wedding and goes off jet setting around with other women. While waiting, she meets the maker of one of the finest merlot wines in the world. Over learning about the wine they fall in love with with each other, but they have the problem of her betrothal (on which her family's business depends). Can she make the decision for love, or will duty win out. Great narration!

This is a beautiful story that is performed with feeling.

My only concern is the overly long gap between chapters.

I had previously read this book but I do like to listen to them on Audible as well. The story is a 5 star read and I would give the Audible version the same rating as the narration of this book is spot on. Some times with Audible books the voices don't match the characters but both voices were just brilliant.

Book hog

Love hockey. Love romance (hubster calls them women's porn) mixing the 2 every even crappy performances I am happy to hear. However you hit a hat trick. Again with the other purchase.... More hockey would be like winning the cup. But since they have so few and even fewer in audio I take what I can get. They just don't get reviews. EVER. this is my 3 review this year including all books and I have purchased over 535$ in audio books alone just this year. So well done.

Some of my favorite narrators doing a great job! This was a sweet listen. I usually like listening to steamy scenes when it comes to Lee Samuels. I had to wait until three-fourths of the book for the steaminess. I would've preferred this on sale but it was still worth my credit.

Interesting enough

This isn't too complicated of a story. Rick is an over sexed porn star and Beth is a virgin wanting to write about the porn industry from a virgin's POV. She somehow finds herself in a love affair with Rick, learning about all the things she has seen but never felt. I thought it was interesting to see Beth explore her sexuality. I didn't really like the characters very much. Beth was a bit pretentious and Rick was insensitive and a times crude. I also thought that their relationship was a but rushed. Stories about Porn stars always seem to raise questions about monogamy, sexuality and how the two work within a relationship. Thick Rick was no acception. The arguments made are always interesting but this story as a whole was just okay. I probably would not recommend this book to anyone interested in a porn star romance

Lacy Laurel was okay but not amazing. I don't think Elliott Kane should have narrated his own book. His delivery wasn't the greatest and the recordings quality was poor.

Liked it, but wasn't as sex positive as my expecta

Definitely a different kind of romance. I was curious to what a romance book featuring a virgin with a man who literally tattoos the number of women his body has been in was going to be like. I think it had an intriguing premise, but the disappointment was that for a book that was "trying" to go for sex positivity, it wasn't very sex positive. The heroine had a mild change on the industry, but only because the love of her life was a porn star. I have a hard time believing if she hadn't fallen for him, her opinion would've still been the same. It was also weird how much she humanized him, yet all the other people in porn were talked about less than favorably. I think the hero was a good example of someone who didn't have the privilege of being educated or skilled in anything that could make a living as a day job, so it was weird how they kept going back and forth when she knew what she was walking into.

Going on to the hero...he wasn't that sexy, but even if he was, even as a pornstar he didn't seem very knowledgeable on how filming scenes worked.

A great book that works on different levels

I requested a review copy of Just Look Up because Iâd heard so many good things about it. Surely it couldnât possibly measure up?

It did.

Lane is an interior designer up for a big promotion at work when her mother calls to say her brother is on life support following a motorcycle accident. She returns home, but is immediately thrown into conflict with everyone in her family (except perhaps her father, who only gets about two lines in the whole novel). The reasons behind this conflict are gradually revealed as the novel progresses

Ryan was also in the motorcycle accident, but escaped with minor injuries. Heâs from a bad background, but heâs made something of himselfâwith the help of the Kelley family, who were surrogate parents for him and his sister throughout his teenage years. Heâs always had feelings for Lane, but never felt good enough for her. Now he meets the adult Lane, he realises she has issues, and he might be able to help.

Just Look Up was a great title that worked on many levels.

There was the obvious, that we have to look up to see the world around us, to live. Lane spent much of time looking down at her phone that she missed what was going on around her. And the more subtle, the way Lane consciously or subconsciously looked down on herself.

It seemed to me that looking down was a habit formed early in her teenage years, where she looked down because of her low self-esteem. I could relate to thisâand I suspect many grown women can, especially those of us who were bookish teenagers who were never part of the âcoolâ crowd.

To me, Just Look Up showed the lie that many of us believe in our teenage years.

The lie that we donât fit in because arenât good enough.

Generations of Biscuits

Author Deborah Smith has written a delightful, quirky, Southern novel incorporating food, family, and finding love. Family in the South usually goes back for generations and this story doesn't disappoint. As the family tree's gnarled branches are exposed, the adept narration [AUDIO] by Misty Gray flips effortlessly between a medium southern drawl and a rich Scottish brogue, adding Delta's thick deep south and various other voices ranging from Appalachian to New York which take center stage as required. Although there is an HEA (Happily Ever After) rounding out book #1, a clear overarching series arc has me wanting to start immediately on the next volume.

Imaginative magical foodie story.

Wonderful, magical story of love, loss, and a new beginning with quirky fun characters. I enjoyed this audio book and recommend it to those fanciful romantics out there. I voluntarily reviewed this audio book after receiving an advanced copy.

Just lovely!

Just lovely! As always Ms. Herron's characters are well fleshed out. I spent the whole story wanting to listen to bluegrass! Fans of her earlier work as well as new readers looking for an escapist read will not be disappointed! Curl up for the day with this, under the covers or on the beach, because you won't want to put it down.

Take some time away in Darling Bay!

Loved this read! Reading this was like setting down with a cup of tea and some good friends. Set some time aside and get to know the folks in Darling Bay. Can't wait to read Rachael's next one!

A darling little romance.

You know they're going to end up together in the end, but that doesn't mean it's not fun to watch them get there. I have to wonder how many delirious romances the town of Darling Bay can play host to before it starts to get a reputation... Loved the music angle.

Wow! This was Fantastic!

I loved this story so much I just ordered the next two books in this series. The story itself was written so well it was easy to read. The story flowed so effortlessly. I loved the quirky characters inhabiting this small town. This was a really fun, quick read with just the right romance and heat. I had to admire Adele's gumption and had work, I would have never expected that since she was once a big star. I also loved Nate right from the start. The way he was able to make something of himself, after being raised the way he was, was something to behold. I also loved the way he took the downtrodded under his wing and made sure they got the things they needed, without running rough-shod over them.

I would highly recommend this book!

Good Old-Fashioned Romance

Written for a modern audience, The Songbirds of Darling Bay is a fun, quick read with just the right romance and heat. Set in a coastal town in Northern California, the characters are quirky and real, the lovers are real people with good points and character flaws like the rest of us. I am looking forward to reading more about the people of Darling Bay.

Hot and Sweet

This was quite an interesting story with a good plot. I loved the hot Scottish dom. The narrator's Scottish accent was exceptional. I intend to look for more books by this author and narrator.
