Short, Sweet and Steamy

This was a just a sweet little nugget in the Off series to let you know what happened to some of our favorite characters from other books in the series. This book was just long enough to explore the quick romance between Cady and Zane and get us caught up on the lives of the past romances in the series. Sawyer Bennett definitely knows how to keep me interested.

As usual Charlotte North and Matthew Holland did a good job with the narration. I love that they can do so many accents. Keep narrating and I will keep listening.

Since this is a novella, I would recommend paying the reduced price and not use a credit. But I would say it was worth the price I paid. I'm loving this series.

an awesome finish to this collection

I loved this story it was funny, sweet, hot and steamy. the performance was greasy as well. this series was super enjoyable, anything I've read by Sawyer Bennett has been fantastic and this book for right in. loved it

Thrill Ride

On a couple of ocarina A detachment of SEALs were aboard ships I served on in the Navy and afterward as a CIVMAR on Navy civilian manned ships. The last time was 9/11/2001. A rubber boat came out of Sardinia to take them off. The personalities of the Black Knights are so much like team members I knew. This book was so good.

I want more.

Thrill Ride

I really enjoyed this story. It was refreshing to meet a heroine who was strong yet couldn't control her tears. I also liked the mystery of Rock's "side job". It was very well done. My only complaint is the narrator didn't do his Cajun accent justice, lol.

The Best

Loved loved loved best in series so far, but hate the words #required for review

poor narration and the female lead cries ALOT

I struggled to get through this book. The storyline would have been okay with the exception of the very poor narration and the fact that the female lead cries through almost two-thirds of the entire book. it is very difficult to believe she works for a clandestine operation when she cries at every single thing.

I'm addicted to Elizabeth Hayley! The first book, Dazzling, had me salivating for more D and S and Radiant couldn't get here fast enough! Fast paced and HOT HOT HOT, you are going to want to devour this trilogy...but don't be surprised if at the end you are counting the days until Exquisite releases.

Poor story

This book was poorly done and the storyline was just repeated over and over. Breakup, go back and have sex, and continue on till the next time with lots of sex in between. An almost total waste of my time and money.

Great read. I just love these quick read books. Also the way James is adding other authors to write some of these with him. It helps him get to the romantic points.

James Patterson Bookshots

I did not realize this book only carried james patterson's name because it was published under his "bookshots" and he had nothing to do with its contents. I bought all 3 books but only read the first and half of the second. Then i gave them away. I love james patterson, have read all of his books, but this was definitely not his style. I do not recommend this book unless you are looking for a "50 shades of gray" type book.

Jammed

Jammed with sex. The sex scenes are excellently written, but there are too many too close together. They are really hot. Bravo.

The narrator was fine I just couldn't finish the story. I didn't like the characters they were one dimensional. Linda Howard has way more better books than tears of a renegade that are definitely more worthy of an audiobook feature. I Would love you to acquire some of her other early works, Cry no more, Dream man, After the night, All the queens men, Kiss me while I sleep.

Surprisingly great

I bought this audiobook not really knowing what to expect, but I was so engrossed in this story from the beginning. The hero is a rich movie and music producer and the heroine is a waitress, janitor and credit card help line operator. The two seem really unmatched at first, but they begin a relationship. I just can't say anything more, but there are shocks and surprises that made me gasp and I had tears in my eyes several times- and I rarely cry over books! Mental illness is dealt with quite tastefully and the narration was very good. I recommend this angst filled story wholeheartedly!

A DELICIOUS KALEIDOSCOPE OF FEELS

Felicity got talked into attending a Sugar Baby party where selected 'beautiful' people are given a number, socialize and hope that one of the rich and powerful members will choose to 'sponsor' them in exchange for companionship, sex or whatever is bartered for. Felicity had three jobs, could look after herself financially and when she wasn't working she was at home reading, talking with her roommates or watching films. She didn't really want to be there and certainly didn't want to mix.. but when she went snooping around the mansion she's watched by Billionaire Theodore Darcy and he will, if Felicity will let him, change the course of her life.

Despite his millions and his success Theodore Darcy is missing something in his life - he's annoyed with his brother for hosting a Sugar Baby party in his house.. but when he sees a beautiful woman lost in her own emotions playing his piano - Theo's instincts and libido took notice. But despite their off the charts chemistry No. 13 didn't want anything from Theo except sex that came with an end date and that was initially fine with him. However, the more 'encounters' they had, the more he wanted to get to know the mysterious, talented and unpredictable woman who'd captivated him and consumed his thoughts - but the trouble was Felicity wasn't in it for the long haul.

An entertaining story that had push-pull elements to it and enjoyable banter as Theo tried to reign in Felicity who was friendly with everyone but came with Daddy issues.. and there was angst because his parents expected so much more too. Likeable easygoing characters - heroine was funny, sassy, talented and happy and the hero was mega in every way - sexy, dirty, handsome, thoughtful, sensitive, compassionate, loving and loyal. There are plenty of sexy hot times, light times, sweet times, happy times and fun times..

Okay

After receiving a threat, Clair is being guarded around the clock at her fatherâs orders. Her bodyguard, Michael, is a hard, stoic, and honorable man, who will do anything to protect Clair.

Just like the title states, this is one night with her bodyguard.

Story was okay. It had one threat, one love scene, and a happily ever after.

Fun quick read

This is a short story about Claire Kenyon and her bodyguard Michael Lyle. Michael is her father's head of security. He has be previously offered a position with her fathers company but declined. It becomes clear that the reason Michael is not pursuing his career is because of his feelings for Claire. Claire suffers from extreme shyness. She does not like social interactions at all. Michael understands this and helps her feel more comfortable. This is an easy short read.

The following information if provided so that each person can decide for themselves if a book is for them. It is in no way a judgement of the book but rather provided with the knowledge that different people like different sorts of things.

Language: This book had mild language. Just use of very mild swear words in appropriate context.

Sex: There is a fairly graphic sex scene it is not until later in the book and is a man/woman scene.

Story: This book is a short story but the emphasis is on the story not the sex so scores high on the sex to story ratio

Funny Series!

This was instalment three in the One Night Novella series and another quick and easy read. In this one we meet Claire who is painfully shy and the man that has been working to protect her family for years.

The plot follows the typical formula of a contemporary romance but it does so in a short amount of pages. Within the few pages you will find everything from romance to some hot and steamy action. In other words, a great read for fans of contemporary who don't have a lot of time on their hands to commit to a much longer story.

I have slowly been working my way through all of the novellas in this series when I need a quick reading fix. So far I have not been disappointed. I could really relate to Claire in this instalment because I too suffer from extreme shyness and a bit of social anxiety. I felt like I really understood her.

I look forward to reading more from this author when I get the opportunity!

Claire and Michael were very alike. Michael was her bodyguard so he was very quite and reserve and very much like he said in the novella - furniture. Claire is not good in crowds and is very much an introvert. So she too is very quiet and reserve.

Heart-Broken, Heart-Warming, But Not Heartless!

Winter Renshaw delivers a heart-felt emotional story with a plot that leads you to believe the story will unfold one way, but weaves twists that take the plot in a different direction. I really enjoyed this story, and the loved the characters.

Some spoilers:

Aidy finds a journal and her curiosity has her reading the private thoughts within the pages. She's captivated and swoons over the passion, love, and longing, the writer has for one women. She knows these thoughts are personal and decides to return the journal to the owner; however, the bearded moody man that lives at the house where she found it, denies every seeing the journal and doesn't want fans leaving stuff on his doorstep. Frustrated and a little angry she leaves with the journal. However, fate has a way of bringing two people together.

Ace was angry, lost and hurt after a heart-breaking betrayal, and from the accident that forced him to retire early from his passionate baseball career. Once Ace is convinced Aidy is not a stalker, he finds her attractive and thinks of her often. A few more run-ins, texts, calls and a steamy weekend at the lake house, these two start falling into a steady relationship, but when his past comes knocking at the door, Aidy questions their relationship and if Ace can every truly love her.

Loretta Rawlins and Nelson Hobbs performance was solid! They did a great job with the characters and emotions.

Great story and well worth a credit.

Pleasantly Surprising

I really enjoyed this story and the narrators. I've read several books by Winter Renshaw and have never been disappointed, including this one.

The story line flowed well and although some of it was predictable, there were many parts that came as a surprise. If any of them are like Ace, I'm looking forward to reading more about the remaining Amato Brothers.

I fell in love with the characters in this book. I love the Ying and Yang pull between them. I felt myself rooting for happy!! xo

Good listening

I enjoyed this audiobook about an injured former baseball star and a make-up artist who meet when she finds an abandoned journal full of love writings in the rain. He's jaded and wary, she's romantic and free spirited. Things aren't always what they appear.

Not My Favorite

But sometimes our scars are the most beautiful storytellers.

I am a huge fan of the Palm South series, so when I heard that this follows Skyler and the other characters I knew I needed it! I will not say I was disappointed, but I did not like it as much as the Palm South Series.

This was a little too slow for me. I normally can finish books in a few days, but I found that this one took me a few months. I just had a hard time picking it up. I think this was due to loving the other series so much, and not due to not enjoying this one. I was a little confused when this takes place, as I thought it was written before some of the others but it still mentions details from the others. It did not bother me at all, but I recommend reading the Palm South series first. You will have a better appreciation for the characters and the side characters.

I also did not love how some characters were portrayed in this one. I did not feel like they were the same as how they were in the series. I did not like Erin in this at all, and Skyler was not as hardcore as I was expecting. I did enjoy that all of the characters were sprinkled within the story though.

I still really enjoyed this though, and I was happy to get back into this world! I cannot wait for more.
