I'm glad this wasn't my first Marina Adair book....

First I must say that have read all of Marina Adairs books and enjoyed them...until this one. I am surprised I finished it to be honest. I really didn't care for Emerson, why is she so mad at that world? Because one guy broke up with her because he couldn't handle all her responsibilities? It sucks but it's not enough to have the major trust issues she has. Then again, there weren't many details about that relationship so maybe I'm supposed to believe the relationship lasted several years rather than weeks as the details led me to believe. She has a very loving family and a great and caring best friend in Harper. Yes, her mom died young but again, this does not explain her trust issues. I found her general attitude to be obnoxious with the lack of a valid back story to explain her anger. She's angry because she has to help her grieving father and little sister cope with life without the wife/mother? Really not feeling sorry for her. Then there's Dax, your typical handsome guy, equipped with washboard abs and a commitment phobia. Why aren't authors tired of writing the same male character? And my last gripe with this book is the ending. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'll just say it felt like Marina Adair had a deadline to meet so she just ended the book abruptly. I will read the next one because I love that these books are set near where I live and as I said, I enjoyed all her books prior to this one so I really hope it's better.

I just love how Marina's books pull you into her worlds. I was hooked from the very beginning of this story, which was no surprise but I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. I love the emotions in her stories and the complexities of her characters. And damn you, Marina, for making me cry on an airplane!!

Oh the feels in this book. My heart is happy!! I really enjoyed Emerson and Dax's story. They had met (lol) previously and this book is their story, how they were brought together again. It's funny, sad sweet and quite hot at times.

Emerson has had to deal with death, being the one in the family holding everything together while she gave up her dream. She's trying to find her place in the world again. Dax is a soldier who has had to deal with the ugly side of war and learning how to piece his life back together again as well.

Snowbound at Christmas is a wonderful book written by Debbie Mason. It is the fifth book in the Christmas, Colorado series and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first book in the series. These stories have everything you want in a good book - humor, suspense, great secondary characters, and relatively clean romances.

The story revolves around former Boston policewoman Cat OConnor, who is currently working as a personal slave for her identical twin sister Chloe. Just when Cat decides to finally quit, near fatal accidents start to befall Chloe on the set of her daily soap opera. Cat goes into detective mode to solve who is trying to kill her drama queen sister. In comes FBI-agent Grayson Alexander who is hired by the shows producer to go undercover (as a new leading man on the soap) looking into the same accidentswith an eye toward Cat as the prime suspect. Moving the location of the soap to the charming town of Christmas, Colorado doesnt stop the accidents from happening, just as it doesnt stop Cat and Grayson from falling for each other despite Chloes shenanigans.

Becket Royce narrated this audiobook and she did a fantastic job. Her style is very natural and so real that you forget youre listening to someone read a book. Instead, you becoming totally immersed listening to the book, as if you are watching a movie with different actors. Simply put, I highly recommend this audiobook!

Nothing is worse than never being able to forgive yourself for something you did that if you knew back than how it would turn out you wouldnt have done it. Nick is living his life with a haunting past that he moved miles away to out run. He might have run but he still cant forget or forgive as the nightmares haunt him every time he closes his eyes. Everyone in town sees Nick as a wonderful guy nothing special just a normal guy until he runs into a burning building to save a child. Things just arent adding up now they want to write up a story of the new town hero but he is hiding out not wanting anything published. People start thinking he must have something to hide. When his old love walks into the bar he is shocked she left him without a word. He finds out she only wants a story but he still wants her and some answers. He will not give in to her or to have the story written. This is when things get interesting with some hot passion that two old loves cant walk away from. These two normal people are both hiding a secret and neither is willing to tell.

The narrator did a good job on the narration she was very easy to listen to with a wonderful voice. There were no high or low levels or any background noise. Her male characters were as good as her female ones. She puts a lot of energy and emotion into the audio giving you a wonderful listen. You know who is talking and what they are feeling as Ms. Hatfield weaves the story the author has given I could hear the pain and sorrow in her voice along with the anger and passion. This was really at times a heartbreaking story that the narrator delivers leaving you almost in tears. This is the first time I have listen to her and look forward to more of her audios.

This is a story that broke my heart as to old loves come together one needing a big story to move up in her job. The other wanting everyone to leave him alone to carry on just putting in time trying to forget. When Nick sees Ava his past comes flying back he cant tell her.

Looking for narration that will have you laughing out loud, blushing at the sexy times, and cheering at the HEA? Look no further Walk With Me delivers on all fronts. Filled with humor, hotness, and pure happiness Alexander Collins delivers a spotless performance.

I love Seth and Eli SO much!

Their story takes place over thirteen years, allowing you to really get to know Seth and Eli and to root for them to be together. This isnt a typical insta-love story. There is definitely relationship building and some major UST. When the sexy times finally commence after the slow, slow burn? Lets just say Seth may be professional and proper in the pulpit, but he is a freak in the sheets, and me likee. Me likee long time.

This is also one of Cardenos funniest stories. Seriously, there are so many laugh out loud moments in this, I cant even count them all, but I sure am grateful for them. The invitations at the beginning of each chapter are hysterical, and all the wedding shenanigans and fails are worth listening to the narration for alone.

Low angst, humor, heat, and light fluffy goodness fans of the Home series collection (and newcomers alike) should be absolutely delighted with the story and narration performance. The story and narration is perfect!

The fish graveyard reception! Cupcakes and nail glue, it was hysterical.

An okay story..

Good narration and enjoyed it. Story wise it's a little unreal.. How the story flows, just a little everywhere.. Always doubting and all, a little too much which sometimes confuses me..

A POWERFUL SUSPENSE & A BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY

Dual POV's, the narrators were good and the plot was full of emotional highs and lows, humor, suspense, a twist or two and an up/down romance that had plenty of sex and sizzle.

Unsatisfactory narrating.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I've listen to the whole series and having new narrators really distracts from the story for me. The new female narrator is choppy and it sounds like she's reading. The accents don't sound right and the male narrator just isn't as masculine sounding as the previous one. He can't pull off the Mac McCarthy character at all. I have been looking forward to this release for quite a while and I was really disappointed. I apologize for being negative.

Terrible Narration

This is my first book by Felicity Munroe I hope I do not have to listen to her narration in this series again!

Unexceptional

I'd hate to say "The Affair" was a waste of time but I couldn't identify with the characters. I really don't know why. It may have been the narration; the way it was presented or the content. I just couldn't relate.

Wonderful story!

I highly recommend this audiobook story about two people who lost their spouses and are feeling devastated by it. Encouraged by family and friends, they both go to a support group for those who have lost spouses to death and they meet there for the first time. This book is cleverly written and has a little surprise at the end. It is about coming to terms with loss, guilt and new love. The narration is very good and I enjoyed the audiobook very much.

**AUDIO REVIEW**

Paisley lost her husband on their first wedding anniversary to a massive heart attack. Ben's wife died after a battle with cancer. This is their story.

Okay, first up, I usually write a story review and then an audio bit, but for this book, the lines blurred, and I struggled to separate the story from the narration, so, this review runs away with itself, and I apologise if it makes no sense. I couldn't stop, I just needed to get it all out.

Had I READ this book, I would have been in tears, almost constantly throughout. LISTENING doesn't have that same effect, but it has a different effect.

Its deeply emotional, from both Ben and Paisley's POV, in the first person. They meet when they attend, at great protest, a bereavement group.

Erin Mallon tells Paisley's story and Chris Chappell tells Ben's. This is the first audio I've listened to that has dual narration, and I loved it. Loved we get Paisley in a female voice, and Ben in a male.

Good story, Terrible narrator

The person reading this audio book sounded as though she was just trying g to get through it. She read with the same enthusiasm she might read a boring g grocery list.

A 20 year Fued!

When one women refused to grant forgiveness to a friend, over a small digression, how this grew bigger and bigger over the years. It almost cost the happiness of two grown children.

But an accident and a flask of scotch showed the ladies what was truly important!

Did the narrator bother anyone else?

I am a Debbie Macomber fan and so far I have enjoyed the story, predictable, a light read. But I am struggling with the narrator! It's as if she is reading the entire book as one of the snooty mothers. It's quite exasperating, which is exactly how the narrator sounds. It's borderline ruining the listen.

Love and forgiveness

It was a delightful book. Christmas is a time for celebration of Jesus birth and love and forgiveness for all.

Trite

You don't expect much from a Christmas romance...just a little romance and a little happy ending and hopefully some happy tears. This book did not produce. And the reader was so overly effected.

I would not recommend this book.
