After a couple of weeks off, we are back with a brand-new movie talk episode. Drew's choice this week is David Lynch's 2001 mystery/thriller, Mulholland Drive. It's a very strange movie that kind of requires multiple watches to really understand what is actually going on. Kevin chose Red Rocket for the second time because Drew previously hadn't seen the film. It's a great story about an ex-porn star who moves back to his hometown in Texas and ultimately tries to make his way back into the porn industry.

This week's episode is a bit of a rollercoaster ride. We've got first timer and Kevin's older brother Tyler as a guest along with CJ to round out this episode. We do a lot of reminiscing on old times plus get into topics such as movies, an old relic from the past, old commercials, punishments from childhood, offensive street jokes, incest and the reason why this is Tyler's first appearance on the show. Also, in the middle of the episode, we talk at length about some friends and acquaintances who tragically passed away back in our teen years. Like I said...rollercoaster ride. But we have a ton of really good laughs in this hour and we hope you enjoy it.

It's time again to talk movies! Kevin's choice is the 2013 documentary film, As the Palaces Burn which follows the heavy metal band Lamb of God on their 2012 world tour and the arrest of vocalist Randy Blythe on charges of manslaughter in the Czech Republic. Drew picks a movie that we both previously haven't seen, the 2021 adventure/drama film The Green Knight. It's a movie about the nephew of King Aurthur and his quest to confront the Green Knight, a mysterious sort of tree giant.

It's a real tearjerker episode this week on the movie podcast. Drew's pick is the 2022 drama film The Whale, which won Brendan Fraser the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role earlier this year. It's a movie about addiction, pain, family, religion and perspective that really hits you in the feels or at least it did to us. Kevin's choice is Greta Gerwig's 2017 Dramedy film, Lady Bird. Lady Bird is a coming of age story about a catholic high school girl with an overbearing mother who feels the need to get away from her hometown of Sacramento. Drew also shares a few stories about when he was younger and how his mom reacted to some of his behaviors.

Kevin's choice for this edition of K&DTM is the A24, Icelandic horror/fantasy film, Lamb. It's a very strange movie that we don't want to spoil in this description, but we definitely give it away in this episode. We recommend that you watch it before listening but you know, you're an adult, you can make your own decisions. Whiplash is Drew's pick and is a film about a very determined jazz drummer and his jazz teacher who will stop at nothing to realize his students potential. J.K. Simmons and Miles Teller star in this intense musical drama that is highly rated by critics and audiences alike.

Today we dive into the movies Clay Pigeons and Black Box. Clay Pigeons is a film that was suggested by a friend and is Kevin's pick for the week. It stars Joaquin Phoenix, Vince Vaughn and Janeane Garafalo in a thriller/comedy that seems to be hit or miss for the audience. Drew's choice is the Amazon original movie, Black Box about a man who undergoes an experimental treatment to try to help is memory loss from a car accident. We chat about a handfull of other movies at the top of the show and pick our next two at the end.

Also, the movie Witch House, which Kevin had a small part in, is finally available to watch for free on Tubi! So check that out if you're interested.

We are back yet again to talk movies because we truly enjoy watching and discussing some of our favorite films. Drew's pick this week is the 2019 Korean thriller/drama, Parasite. This highly rated film is about a poor family who manipulates their way into a rich families home and it has a lot of deep meaning behind the intensely wild story. Kevin chose The Truman Show starring Jim Carrey and Ed Harris. This film about a man being on television his whole life without knowing it, also has some deep meaning behind it that we try to delve into in this hour.
