The Washington Commanders lost to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day 45-10 in a blowout in the largest viewed NFL regular season game of the season. A direct result of this loss led to coaching changes.
Jack Del Rio was fired the day after the loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Del Rio was here for 4 years, as was secondary/DB coach Brent Vieselmeyer, who was a buddy of Jack Del Rio’s. Was this enough to satisfy the fans? Should Ron Rivera have gone as well?
Speaking of Ron Rivera, he went to the mic to announce the changes and said a few interesting things that are highlighted by Amit this episode. Ron Rivera will now be calling the defense, he will not be involved at all with the offense, and he cited the snowballing that occurred on defense as the reason that this move needed to take place.

The Washington Commanders host the lowly New York Giants in a battle between 3rd and 4th place in the NFC East. The Commanders lost their first meeting on the road to the Giants by a score of 14-7. In that game, Tyrod Taylor started for the Giants. This time, it will be Tommy DeVito.
Before we jump into the breakdown, we begin by addressing the Bill Belichick rumors. Dan Orlovsky went on the Pat McAfee Show and claimed that Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots are likely to agree to a mutual parting of ways. Additionally, it appears Belichick’s next place has already been determined. Would you take Bill Belichick here in DC?
We then jump into the Giants preview, eventually beginning with the Giants offense, led by Saquon Barkley, against our Commanders defense. What is the expectation on this side of the ball?

November 13, 2023 Washington Commanders 26-29 Loss To Seattle Seahawks, Game Reaction
The Washington Commanders lost on the road to the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 26-29, which saw our team drop to 4-6 on the season. It was not without its positive takeaways though.
Sam Howell now leads the NFL in passing yards, and also has shown that he is the QB of the future here in Washington. Additionally, he has now shown a clutch gene at the end of 2 different games, both on the road, scoring TDs against the Philadelphia Eagles and now the Seattle Seahawks in the final minute of each game. Brian Robinson Jr. was also fabulous today with over 100 yards receiving and 8 carries for 38 yards.
The negatives start with the referees ejecting Emmanuel Forbes from the game for a helmet-to-helmet hit on WR Tyler Lockett, who ended up being fine. The Commanders defense ultimately gave up 29 points on the day, and Jack Del Rio continues to stay on the hot seat.

This result was an embarrassment, it falls on coaching primarily, and the players need to take some responsibility as well. We were blown out at home on national TV, plain and simple.
