The Washington Commanders have some big contract decisions to make this offseason and next offseason. We focus today on S Kam Curl and his need for a contract extension. The former 7th round pick in 2020 has outplayed his draft stock so well that even if he were a 1st round pick, he would have been a home run pick. Should the Washington Commanders invest in Kam Curl long-term, knowing that Chase Young and Montez Sweat are also due? If you had to pick 2 of the 3 players to extend, which 2 would you choose? The Women’s World Cup kicks off in just a couple days in New Zealand and Australia! The US Women’s National Team (USWNT) looks to win their 5th World Cup and 3rd one in a row. Can this team win 3 world cups in a row?

Netflix recently dropped a show called “Quarterback”, which features 3 QBs: Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota and former Washington QB Kirk Cousins. We begin the episode by talking about Kirk Cousins return to Washington with his Minnesota Vikings this past NFL season and the hit he took from Daron Payne. KDot attempts to feel for Kirk Cousins, while Amit remains solid on his stance that Kirk Cousins leaving was a good thing long-term for the Washington Commanders franchise.

KDot is BACK and we begin by talking about the Washington Wizards new direction with the trades of Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis and 3 day Wizards legend Chris Paul. The Wizards also added 2 new players through the draft in Bilal Coulibaly, Victor Wenbanyama’s teammate, and Tristan Vukcevic. Does KDot like the direction the franchise is headed? Do YOU like the direction the franchise is headed now?

The Washington Wizards were the center of the NBA universe this week, and set the whole league on fire by first trading All-Star G Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns for G Chris Paul, G Landry Shamet, 6 second round picks and 4 first round pick swaps.  Then, they traded F/C Kristaps Porzingis to Boston, just minutes before his opt-in deadline, to the Boston Celtics in a 3-way deal involving the Memphis Grizzlies for G Tyus Jones, F Mike Muscala, F Danilo Gallinari, and the 35th overall pick in this year’s draft (which then got traded to Chicago for 2 more second rounders).  Finally, Chris Paul was flipped to Golden State for G Jordan Poole and a 2030 protected first round pick + a 2027 second round pick.  Which one saw the best return?

The Wizards added 2 new players through the draft tonight in Bilal Coulibaly, Victor Wenbanyama’s teammate, and Tristan Vukcevic.  What do we make of them?  Are they ready to play now, or are they higher upside players?

Now that the Wizards have made all these trades for future assets and their draft picks tonight, where does that leave them?  What hope do we have for the present and the future?

Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards, led by new team president Michael Winger and GM Will Dawkins, are looking for trade partners to move the all-star guard. Fans have wanted Beal moved for a long time to signify a solid long-term plan built on developing a new crop of young talent. Where could Bradley Beal get moved to? What would you want in return? KDot and Amit discuss the news in the NBA for our Wizards.

Chase Young is BACK at minicamp and all reports say he looks really good.  However, Montez Sweat is also in the mix for a new deal and both players are in contract years.  Are we able to sign both of them to long-term deals?  Should we sign both of them?

Eric Bieniemy is coaching the offense and is letting the squad have it.  Fans are LOVING it!  Amit and KDot react to the news that Bieniemy has a particular attention to detail while also being unafraid to express himself and make sure his players are getting it all right.
