  • Commanders Hire Brian Johnson, Jason Simmons As Pass Game Coordinators | Super Bowl LVIII Prediction

The Washington Commanders made 2 more coaching hires this week, 1 on each side of the ball as a passing game coordinator.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Commanders have hired Jason Simmons, who worked with defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. in the past with the Green Bay Packers, and then did some more pass game work with the Carolina Panthers and Las Vegas Raiders.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Commanders have hired Brian Johnson, former offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles this past season. Before this season, he was the QBs coach for the Eagles, working closely with Jalen Hurts for 2 seasons. He also worked with Dak Prescott at Mississippi State, so yet another offensive mind that has experience with good NFL quarterbacks to join offensive Kliff Kingsbury, who has worked with Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, and Kyler Murray.

Washington Commanders Head Coach Dan Quinn was unveiled to everyone in his introductory press conference. He sat in between Josh Harris and Adam Peters as they all answered questions together about team identity, aligned vision, and what Dan Quinn learned from his time at Atlanta.

The Commanders also hired Dan Quinn’s defensive pass game coordinator in Dallas, Joe Whitt Jr., to be their defensive coordinator. KDot calls this the most underrated move of the offseason! Do you agree with him? Amit is also fired up for this hire, citing Whitt’s experience with Green Bay, Cleveland, Atlanta and Dallas.
The Commanders weren’t done there. They also hired Kliff Kingsbury, former Arizona Cardinals Head Coach, to be their offensive coordinator. This was a highly publicized move due to his relationship with USC QB Caleb Williams. Will the Commanders move up 1 spot in the NFL Draft to select Williams?

The Washington Commanders will NOT be hiring Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson this offseason. Johnson informed the team while they were en route to interview both him and Detroit Lions DC Aaron Glenn that he would be staying with the Lions for another season. The remaining head coaching vacancies remain the Commanders and the Seattle Seahawks.Where to from here? The remaining candidates are Dallas Cowboys DC Dan Quinn, Houston Texans OC Bobby Slowik, Baltimore Ravens DC Mike Macdonald, Baltimore Ravens D Line Coach Anthony Weaver, and our very own Eric Bieniemy. Which one of these candidates will become our head coach? What if it’s someone that isn’t on this list? • Washington Commanders Head Coach Update, Ben Johnson A LOCK 🔒? NFC + AFC Championship Game Picks

The Washington Commanders and Seattle Seahawks are the last 2 teams in the NFL that still have head coach vacancies! Remaining options include Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson, former New England Patriots HC Bill Belichick, former Tennessee Titans HC Mike Vrabel, Dallas Cowboys DC Dan Quinn, Houston Texans OC Bobby Slowik, Detroit Lions DC Aaron Glenn, Baltimore Ravens DC Mike Macdonald and many more. Which one of these candidates will become our head coach? What if it’s someone that isn’t on this list? In Adam Peters we trust.

We then take a look at the NFL landscape, beginning with a breakdown of the AFC vs NFC. What are the differences between the 2 conferences? Looking deeper, we see that the AFC is more loaded, both in terms of QB and coaches. That leaves opportunity in the NFC. Then we go a level deeper and look at the NFC East, and see that there is even more opportunities with implosions occurring with the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. Can the Commanders rebuild quickly?
The AFC and NFC Championship games are this weekend, with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs traveling to take on the Lamar Jackson led Baltimore Ravens. The other game features the San Francisco 49ers All-Star team, featuring Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and more, hosting the Detroit Lions, led by QB Jared Goff. Who will win those games? KDot and Amit make their predictions.

  • Adam Peters Intro Press Conference REACTION | Washington Commanders New General Manager!

The Washington Commanders introduced Adam Peters as the new General Manger of the franchise today! Josh Harris and our new ownership group got their man to begin the rebuild. It marks a new beginning for a franchise marred by poor decisions on and off the field from prior ownership.

KDot and Amit provide what happened at the press conference, what the takeaways are, and why there are reasons for hope and optimism moving forward.
Adam Peters suggested that the focus will now be on the Head Coaching search. Current candidates named are Houston Texans OC Bobby Slowik, Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson, and Baltimore Ravens DC Mike Macdonald, to name a few. The goal is to get a coach that is a leader with a high football IQ, and that is aligned with the vision of both Peters as well as Harris and the rest of the ownership group.
On the subject of roster building, that will be done by the GM and Head Coach together. The team will build through the draft and supplement through free agency. That is the Adam Peters philosophy.
