In this week’s episode, my friend, Linda Moon and I talk about lessons for the perfectionist from the cutest Disney movie ever—Encanto! We DO talk about Bruno (#sorrynotsorry), Mirabel, Abuela, and Luisa, and how they teach us so much about our own struggles with people pleasing, hiding our flaws, and not wanting to rock the boat. Linda and I talk about how easy it is to entangle perfectionism with our identity, but how God is reminding us that our value is not wrapped up in what we do. Today’s episode is *pure gold*! I can’t wait for you to listen in!
Before you dive into the episode, let me introduce you to Linda: Linda Moon the Director of Grow Kid Curriculum for Stuff You Can Use and the Director of Education and associate pastor at her church in La Cañada, California. She has been a children's pastor for 15 years, but has served in kidmin ever since the 7th grade! As such, she has experience in nearly everything from leading Bible Study to volunteer training to... worship song... choreography. She has a bachelors degree in biological sciences, masters degrees in theology and in cross-cultural studies, and a doctorate degree in educational leadership, with a concentration in educational psychology. She and her husband have two sons, ages 8 and 4. You can find Linda on instagram @_lindaluna. To learn more about Stuff You Can Use, visit stuffyoucanuse.org.
