  • Personal Achievement - You, Even Better!

As you crest one mountain top, the view from the top reveals other exciting new peaks to climb.  You may have noticed that throughout our podcasts, we constantly use the term "grow and become", (it actually came from my Morning Moxies on my YouTube channel @TheLarisaGroup - check it out!), which sounds somewhat open-ended and that's intentional.  Our mind continues to grow (if we feed it regularly, that is!) and as we learn new things, our interests change and so too do our goals and achievements.

Today marks Day One of our Four Ps to Peak Performance Challenge. This month is all about Personal Achievement and in this episode, we dig into your Core Values and Your Legacy to create your Personal Mission Statement. Your Personal Mission Statement will be the driver of your goals so don't skip this important step! Take note!

  • 2021 Recap _ My How You've Grown!

(This is Part One of a Two Part session) You're no doubt familiar with the statement you can't drive forward always looking in the rearview mirror, right? Sometimes, you do need to look back so you can see how far you've come, how much you've grown. We've grown up always cognizant of the calendar and the passage of time and as we draw down toward the end of the year, perhaps enjoying some holiday festivities, we also tend to reflect on what has been. So we thought, why not take a look back over the past year?

In this episode, we take a look back at 2021 AND share with you some of our favorite podcasts over this past year. Our focus has always been about topics that affect women everywhere, especially as we learn to thrive in this new normal of an ongoing pandemic. And not just looking back, we're also giving you a teeny taste of what you have to look forward to in our next season as we open up 2022.

(In this episode I also mentioned one of the crypto platforms I use, so here's the link I promised - we both get $10 in bitcoin after you sign up and fund your account: coinbase.com/join/troche_a7 )

Now, lean in for possibly the best conversation you've had all week.

  • B.E. A. S.T.A.R. - How To Shine Every Day!

BE A STAR – Quick, what is the first thing that comes to mind as you read that? Are you a mover and shaker, innovator, or are you still hiding behind your potential? Have you thought about having a starring role in something BIG? What we are talking about as we wrap up 2021 is, where do we go from here?

Whether you have been following us this year or even if you’re new, check out what we have promoted this year. Our weekly Divas, Diamonds, and Dollars podcasts by Sisters and Sistahs hosts are for and about you: whether you are starting all over, or are on your way as a multipreneur, or already have a staring role as a Voyager or Trailblazer. As we reflect on the many things we have shared this past season, we know that life sometimes requires repeats, and sometimes just starting all over altogether. No matter the situation you can still “Be a Star”.

Much of my career (Cecelia here) required motivating others, creating a high-powered productive cadence and ultimately contributing to the overall mission. I borrowed this title from my former role as a leader. My team came up with a value statement to go with our mission and vision. You can apply this concept to your personal or business endeavors:

    • Be transparent to build trust.
    • Empowerment at all levels.
    • Act with a sense of urgency.
    • Seek excellence.
    • Take ownership and be accountable.
    • Assess and take smart risks.
    • Respect others.
    • In this podcast we break down the detailed steps you can take to shine every day! Lean in for possibly the best conversation you've had all week!

    • Trailblazer Interview Series with Guest Trailblazer, Charlynda Scales: When Opportunity Knocks, Answer the Door!

Have you ever dreamed of being your own boss but still haven’t taken the plunge?

Today we’re excited to bring you an installment from our signature Women Trailblazers interview series. We probe the minds of experts from all walks of life to bring you 10 Questions and the Expert Answers that launched them from traditional 9 to 5’er to an Innovator and entrepreneur.

How many of you know someone at work, but later find out they have another side altogether: as entrepreneurs, creators or trailblazers for others to follow? I met Charlynda Scales at work a few years ago. Like many of us, our professional relationship was one of mutual respect but otherwise we were too busy to connect on a deeper level.

Now, I am happy to introduce you to the businesswoman, Charlynda Scales, who has been called the Daytonian of the Week, has hosted charity events, and has her product in the largest grocery store company in America.

Charlynda is a Tennessee native who spent 11 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force, the last five of which have been at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. While still on active duty, Charlynda founded a Dayton-based business called " Mutt's Sauce," producing an all-purpose sauce based on a family recipe her late grandfather bequeathed to her.

She is a Clemson University graduate, with a degree in Aerospace Science and Business Management. She also holds an MBA in Management and Strategic Leadership.

Lean for possibly the best Trailblazer conversation you'll have all week!

    • Change Your Life with an Attitude of G.R.A.T.I.T.U.D.E.

The perfect time to destress seems to be November because of the American holiday Thanksgiving. But sometimes thinking about our blessings doesn’t last long because we’re caught up in the push by merchants and commercials that focus on material matters.

Being grateful starts a lifelong journey of gratitude. You can find many devotionals that point to scriptures about being thankful. Many have spoken about writing in a “gratitude journal”. We posit that this is a deeper contemplation that moves you beyond a momentary appreciation to an overarching attitude of appreciation.

Studies show feelings of gratitude have actual health benefits. From showing appreciation to others with a ready "thank you" for services rendered, thank you cards for you team, thank you gifts for your clients - there are many ways to express your appreciation. Being appreciative for the many ways you have been blessed, for the opportunities that have come your way, for the life you lead, the business you've grown - these are the things that create an attitude of gratitude. Just remember to remember. Being grateful shouldn't just be a one a year event, if should be part of your life, incorporated into your daily rituals.
