One of the biggest statements I hear from women is “I don’t know who I am”
And when you’re unsure of who you are, your voice (aka your personal power) is compromised where you:
Accept what’s unacceptable
Entertain relationships that don’t compliment you
Never speak up for yourself
Conform in order to be validatedAnd when you continuously downplay your needs and what you value, you discredit your existence and your freedom!
Setting boundaries is something that get's overlooked but in actuality, your boundaries are a necessity!
It’s a major part of your self-love foundation and when you are boundary less, you have no limits on how you allow others to treat you and most importantly, you haven’t valued your own boundaries with yourself.
On this week's podcast episode, join me as I talk with have a conversation with Chautè Thompson, a licensed psychotherapist who does extensive work with families of separation and divorce to discuss the importance of boundaries, why many have difficulty setting them, and how to start implementing them in a healthy way.
