  • #111 XOSKIN's Kroy Taughinbaugh
This podcast is brought to you by Xoskin, one of the newest and best running apparel brands on the market. They were voted the highest rated base layer for all seasons and all sports. They use 3D seamless knitting. They use RapidriCopper Technology. What does that mean? Kroy Taughinbaugh breaks it all down for me so that I can understand why their shorts are so amazing. He tells me, during our conversation, that the easiest way to say it is their gear keeps you comfortable in any condition. I can attest to that! Their shorts are tremendous. Their toe socks, called Xotoes, are outstanding at keeping you blister free out on the trails. They have these brand new wool toe socks on their website as well as underwear that’s comfortable and durable. All this stuff makes great Christmas presents. Check them out you guys! Xoskin.us. All their stuff is on sale right now for the holidays. If you make an order, please let them know we sent you!

  • #110 MAX VERT CHALLENGE WINNER // Chris Fisher
My guest this week, Chris Fisher, set a World Record by logging over 400,000 vertical feet during the month of October, winning the Max Vert Challenge of 2021. Chris is 26 years old and is fairly new to running and ultrarunning. He lives in Breckenridge Colorado and we chat about all the trials, tribulations and injuries he faced during his World Record month. He logged over 500 miles. He averaged between 13 and 18k of vert every day! This is a conversation you’re not going to want to miss. Keep your eye on this guy!

  • #109 Rio Del Lago 100 Finisher // Travis Liles
My guest this week, Travis Liles, was an early influencer on me in my ultrarunning career.  As well as an ultrarunner, he is a husband, a dad, has a full time job and does gear review for irunfar.com.  He just finished Rio Del Lago and I wanted to hear all about it as well as catch up with him.  I think you’re going to like our conversation.

  • #107 HEART TRANSPLANT RECIPIENT AND LONG DISTANCE CYCLIST // Mike Cohen
Mike Cohen is a 36-year-old cancer survivor, as well as a survivor of two heart failures, a heart transplant recipient and long distance cyclist. Mike cycled across the US to meet his heart donor’s family and to pay his respects. If that’s not inspiring, I don’t know what is. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!

  • #105 TWO SECONDS TO SPARE with Natalie Bickers
With two seconds to spare, Natalie Bickers was the last person standing at the Moab 240 this year.  She finished the race just in the nick of time to be considered a finisher of the 240-mile ultramarathon, among the other 127 finishers.  She hadn’t planned on cutting it so close.  Imagine the adrenaline of running as fast as you can for the last few miles of a 240-mile race, just to get across the finish line before the final cutoff.  Natalie did it and she’s not even close to being done with 200 mile races either.

  • #104 with MOAB 240 finisher Emily Keddie

I’ve got another dope podcast right here for you guys. Emily Keddie is someone I’ve wanted to have on the show for a while. I think I hit her up once and it fell through but I’m one of those guys that doesn’t stress when something falls through because maybe it just wasn’t meant to happen at that particular time. Well, Emily just completed the Moab 240 and I thought what a great time this would be to reach back out and see if we can make it happen. Luckily for all of us, it happened! Anyone who runs 240 miles is going to come away with some obscure stories of struggle and elation and Emily certainly doesn’t disappoint. She finished tenth place female and I absolutely loved this conversation and I think you guys are going to dig it too.

  • #103 TRIPLE CROWN RECAP with Hector Rodriguez
How lucky am I? I get to chat with some of the baddest, most skilled, most talented adventurers on the planet. Well, I’ve got a bonus episode for you guys this week. It’s so good, I just wanted to get it out! Hector Rodriguez just completed what is affectionately known as the Triple Crown of 200’s. That’s three 200 mile races within a three month window. It’s been a goal of his to complete this insane, mind melting adventure for over a year now. And he did it. We get into it all from humble beginnings to strategy to the Wolfpack that he rolls with and just what it takes to run three 200’s over the summer. These last couple of episodes have been some of my favorites and I hope you like this one as much as I did!
