After a couple of false starts we get to speak to Kevin living in Scotland who had been to Airdrie vs St Johnstone who gives us a report Dan Phillips now at St Johnstone and is immediately given Ambassador status for Scotland and gives us a tip for a Hearts striker looking to leave who will be a free agent in the summer!! A fine start ambassador!

We finally get “Badly Drawn Watford” on having gone head to head with Banksy in Bristol (Banksy bottled it) in the artist shoot out and on the football side of things thinks the squad look tired (when he wasn’t in the bar!). John joins us having dropped his daughter off and tells us about trying and failing to get transfer targets from Man City and we talk about Martins and Asprilla, we give an update on the prediction league (for all the people not bothered about it!).

Chris joins us from Whitechapel having had to attend college on Saturdays and asks that we should now stop calling “Giorgi” - “Dave”. Pete explains that “Dave” isn’t a show of disrespect but Chris thinks that Giorgi Chakvetadze has earned the right to be called by his own name – fair play. We then decide we will blow the transfer budget into turning Ken Sema into the Bionic man!

We go to the 5 word reviews before speaking to Mal about his upcoming 65th birthday and discuss what circus skills we should force Carl to learn (Fired out of a cannon seemed quite appealing!)

Part One of the fan reaction following the 1-1 at Ashton Gate. Most seem fairly pleased with 3 defeats in 18 games now but some wonder - was this one that possibly got away? Asprilla missing an opportunity in the first half may or may not have been the turning point however the second half saw some more great saves Hamer and goal line clearance from Livermore that have seen the home side snatch - so perhaps a share of the spoils is enough improvement on Boxing Day!

We hear about half human half goat, our South American Ambassador delivers the goods and we all wonder what might the transfer window now bring in having taken two players out through the exit door? Part 2 out on Sunday.

David joins us from the Forever Bristol City podcast having only just chatted before Xmas we stat off as badly as we finished last time. Manning seems to be doing ok but the league form has faltered since our Boxing Day clash but everyone is rather pleased about the West Ham cup result, we chat Nigel Pearson and Pete comes up with yet another new segment that will probably prove as bad as all the others!

The prediction league sees a clash between Banksy and Badly Drawn Watford plus Die Hard and John goes to Manchester with his Backgammon set. Carlos is quite pleased to be joint top and Justin isn't and carries on trying to predict scores that other have predicted.

We finish off by getting to the bottom of the "Gun turrets on shopping centres" question which turn out to be neither gun turrets or shopping centres, we find what Robbie Williams tour manager may have put in your cake, we discuss possibly the best or worst away kit ever and Justin's "tourist attractions at away games" hits an all time low only saved by David's encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Bristol!!!

PART TWO

Ian joins us having enjoyed the game and hails TDB as MOTM but thinks overall – we got away with one there. Rajovic potential is agreed with. Chris joins us and feels we had a “big Ken shaped hole” in the team and squad. We talk about the team never putting the ball over the top because there seem to be no runners from midfield looking to run beyond the central forward. Chris feels guilty about calling Rajovic out when not scoring and we wonder if the management can develop those other parts that are missing from his game in open play outside the box – fingers crossed!

Maximillian Sam joins us from Turkey, and we cover amongst other things turtles, Besiktas and Turkish supporters’ intensity. Pete tries to press gang Chris into being the DNSYE Turkish ambassador, but this role might be going to an attractive Besiktas supporter (this is a level of shallow we at DNSYE are happy to co-operate with). Mal isn’t feeling well and compares himself to our first half and warns us that we need to defend better when it comes to QPR next weekend.

Neil joins us with news that the 321 bus now meanders apparently. The half time turn around seems to have been inspired by some Mica Paris lyrics before putting his money where his mouth is and offering to pay for Uncle Ron’s air and match ticket to come and watch Morris at the ground to see how good he is.

Five word and long forms and haikus are as brilliant as always.

PART ONE

RichWFC2 joins us after an afternoon of remembering not just Graham Taylor but also Chesterfields John Duncan and Captain Tom Sawyer with an emotional contribution from Luther and Tom’s father Martin accompanied by Tom’s mum Sue. A poignant day.

Looking at the football Rich calls out the differences in the two halves and asks if the “TDB at right-back experiment” could please end now. Playing against (an admittedly very good) 5th tier side he bemoans the lack of effort displayed in that first 45 minutes. Uncle Ron joins us and calls out Daniel Bachmanns performance and calls for fullback replacements in the market as well as calling for two to play upfront at home and sees hope for Rajovic if he were part of a pair.

Wendover joins us impressed with Chesterfield with Mrs W and finally tells us about the time he tried to cook – it’s a sizzling tale of fractions, water, Uncle Bens mix and oxo cubes!!! Mike joins us after a Voices of The Vic gathering of the clan in the bunker earlier and commends TDB for his performance in midfield just as we need a midfielder as we missed Kayembe in the first half.

Blue Cheese Brett tells us about Argentinian Hornets, the word “munted” and tales of Japanese dentists being an analogy for todays game – but it’s Brett so who really knows what t was about!!!???
