The final moves of the Mariners offseason seem like they are falling into place. After having a big day of trades in acquiring Mitch Haniger, Anthony Desclafani, and Luke Raley - all the Mariners have done since is sign low cost relievers. Their final move is likely going to be for an infielder of some sorts to raise the floor of the 2024 ballclub. Whit Merrifield would be a fine addition to the 2024 team. He's not the big fish a lot of fans wanted but he can be a valuable aspect to the team should the Mariners try and sign him.
