It was an embarrassing display on the world stage, making the United States government look either dumb or indifferent… or both. A State Department visual display at the International AIDS Conference highlighting U.S. funding for HIV in several African countries, placed every single country listed in the wrong geographical location. Not a single country was in the right place on its map of Africa. You might be surprised to hear just how few of us can place major countries on a world map, hell, only 50% of Americans could find the state of New York.
