Pearls of Wisdom for Well-Being:
1- Download the Manual of Yourself. Know your Basics for Self-Care. You can't expect to take care of others if you don't take care of yourself.
2- Ask Yourself: "What Do I Need Today?" How your feel is based on what you need. So if you can get what you need, you can feel differently.
3- Reframe your Self-Talk to be more self-compassionate.

With the beginning of Spring renewal comes reflection and a look toward the future. Where are we and how did we get there? Today we are exploring the internal landscape of our lives. Why do we do the things we do? Why don't we do the things we want to do? Why do we feel the way we do and how to do better, or at least how to stop doing some of the things that cause pain? Maybe getting it all wrong leads to working towards a better life for ourselves (smile).

Networking can, and often does, lead to some amazing things. Dr. Jeff Cohn is back to share how an unlikely relationship has blossomed into an amazing movement. Listen in to hear how he's making waves with a new app designed to help you lean into gratitude while monitoring your vulnerability, and how this practice impacts your mental health.
Dr. Jeff met his business partner, professor Jeff, when they both attended an academic conference. They had some amazing conversations then and though a natural working partnership didn't reveal itself then, they both agreed to stay in touch, just in case.
Then Covid happened and physician mental health became a pressing topic. Dr. Jeff and Professor Jeff came back together to create an app specifically designed to help health care professionals acknowledge their feelings, prevent burnout, and create a more humane workplace environment.
I've been using it for a while now and I have to say, I'm loving it. It really does help you tap into what you're feeling, where it's coming from, and how your feelings are impacting your environment.
Listen in to hear all about the app, how it was developed, why they've developed it, and what they hope to accomplish in the coming months and years. You can find the app for both Apple and Android, just check your app store!

3 WAYS TO GET INCREDIBLE HELP AT A LOW-COST!!!
I think it's so important that we do this work to overcome burnout, together. That's why I created Burntout to Badass. Luckily, I'm not the only one who thinks this. I've had a blast getting to know Dr. Lesley Sweeney on her badass journey. Listen as she shares her story and how Burntout to Badass has helped her take action toward a whole new life.
Dr. Sweeney had an hour-long commute to her old job. During the commute she listened to this podcast! She loved the fantastic interviews and all of the insights I share about burnout but also about the other options that exist to fulfill your needs.
After a few months of listening, she scheduled a call and decided it was time to take her life back. She went through the group coaching version of Burntout to Badass and she hasn't looked back since.
In fact, she used her allowed CME time to take some of the modules and spend time with her kids.
She was nervous about investing in the course, but the result was more than she could have imagined. Dr. Lesley is now taking an extended sabbatical and exploring other options for making money and supporting her family.
If you've been on the fence about joining us in this cohort of Burntout to Badass, you won't want to miss a minute of Dr. Lesley's experience.
